I think I have a new virus. i am not receiving e-mails but my e-mail is sending out messages at a rapid rate? i have no idea what it is sending, but the symantec scanning message window is continuosly popping up like it is sending out. then i get pop up from symantec saying that my mail was not sent out, i am getting hundreds of them. If anyone could help i would appreciate it.

Sounds like you've got the W32.sobig worm. Since you say you've got Symantec, go to their home page and follow their directions for removing it.

I'm sure it has been said, but I need to say it again. This virus spoofs the from address. So just because you see these emails coming from webmaster@adultdvdtalk.com or webmaster@adultdvdtalk.com does not mean they are coming from us. I do not have this virus.

Now if only the people sending me rude emails about this actually read the forum...

I have a form letter that has an excerpt from an anti-virus site that says the from address is being spoofed, along with a link to the article. No commentary necessary!

Apparently it is spoofing my address as well as I am getting mail now in my ADT account telling me that it sent out e-mail affected with the virus to people I haven't mailed to.

I finally fixed it! I had tried everything except this software! The one I did not even think about! It was Ad-aware 6.0. Thank all of you who tried to help. Ad-aware kicks ass! [unrelated spam removed by moderator]
