Is it just me or does it seem like Elegant Angel are coming back on top in the New Year? When I walked by there booth it was great seeing Stagliano, John Leslie, and Joey Sylvera all hanging out with Patrick. The book sleave idea for DVD's is what stood out for me and is a great way to stop bootleggers. Do you think Elegant ever lost there touch or just due to all the problems in the last year put a damper on things? I mean their roster of talent is booming right now with Mason, Tony Ribas, Manuel Ferrara, Steve Holmes, and more. Since I like to frequent various adult bookstores I started wondering about this since it dawned on me that more Elegant product has been appearing on shelves. Well, I've always been a fan of what they do and was curious how everybody else felt too...

Sir Real, welcome to ADT. I think your moniker is way cool. This link will help explain the current renaissance at Elegant Angel.

Sir Real, in case you're not already aware, Steve Holmes and Manuel Ferrara have joined Jewel De' Nyle, Michael Stefano, and Brandon Iron to start their own company called Platinum Pictures. Currently (as of the time of this post), you can get confirmation of this at Luke Ford.

Coming back? From where? Mitzi´s been sending me press-releases about the newest montly releases on a constant basis, so it´s not as if they were gone for a while.

Planet, I don't think that's what Sir Real meant. He didn't mean comeback in the sense of going out of business and then coming back into business. I think he meant that, at one time, Elegant Angel was one of the truly preeminent studios in the industry, then gradually faded in stature (though still respectable), but is making a comeback to their original preeminence. I think the one spearheading the resurgence of Elegant Angel is their head honcho, Patrick Collins.

Oh, I see.

Yep, Elegant´s been keeping a relatively low profile for some time.

I agree with what all of you are saying and maybe its that I'm the new guy on the block to realize all of which you just pointed out to me. The point I was making is that I was a big Elegant viewer back when Evil and them were one. After reading various posts and going to the show led me to thinking what rock have they been hiding under. I've probably watched lets say their last 25 releases and thats what encouraged me to start this thread. I used those names since it was good to see in their foreign titles by Tony Ribas faces like Holmes, Ferrara, to even Nacho Vidal. This tells me they have some good ties and relations in making good product with good stars. My hobbie is following various series along with the director shooting the title. Now I'm going to watch their other series to base an opinion on Sugar Walls, Filthy First Timers, and Tails of Perversity. Its nice meeting all of you out there too...

Same here, and I've posted a good number of them here.

But, the thing that shot Elegant in the foot, was the not caring about A/V quality, which is now not the case, I think. I was at the AEE Vegas show and while I didn't talk much with Patrick, he did seem to really care, and really is listening to fans.

Elegant has a lot of good people working there, which is one of the reasons I do like to check out their releases.

Big Mike-

I have to agree with you there. When I was at the Vegas show too I went out of my way to say Hi to Patrick Collins and the main thing he was pushing to me was about their cleaning up of the sound problems in their authorizing/replicating along with their DVD Book Sleave look for it to sit in. His staff was very friendly to me and hooked me up with some awesome shirts, hats, and stickers. I even met MASON while she was slapping away Julie Knight, that was a sight to see as well as be openly social with my questions. My last concern with not just Elegant yet all studios out there is BOX ART. Do you agree too that sometimes its the box art that sells the product even more then just the title. I feel just a nice zoomed in shot of a hot girl with good lighting is all you need. Once too much is added on the box images just gets smaller and to hard to visualize. Anyways so far I've been educated alot from all of you in this short thread. :>)

Thank You,

~Sir Real~

Yes, Manuel and I are part of PLATINUM X PICTURES but we will still perform for other companies and directors. Working for Elegant Angel has always be a pleasure and I'm looking forward to work more with Patrick and his team.

We start shooting our first video for PLATINUM X PICTURES in February in Budapest. Release will be in April. I'm looking forward to your feedback.

Steve Holmes
