| lex von v Senior Member 2511 Posts 12/12 |  Posted - May 4 2015 : 5:15PMHi, I recently got my copy of "Anal Fanatic 2", and ran into a problem when playing the Jynx Maze scene, at around 2h37m until 2h44m I get various pixelation, jumps and image defects. When playing it with the computer DVD drive, I get stuck on various positions of the file VTS_01_5.VOB. So I confronted the disc with actually two different rental discs of the same title, and both had issues at roughly the same spot. Does anyone have a working version of that DVD? The DVD I have has its files mastered on February 25th 2011. [Link] |

It was a brand-new DVD, and the two DVDs I had to compare it at least looked pristine. (same story, btw, with "Big Anal Asses 2" from HardX, again at the Jynx Maze scene  Anyone got a DVD of AF2 that plays this scene without hickup? Or am I the only one still using DVDs? [Link] |
| SyberKhanX Member 69 Posts 1/08 | Posted - May 7 2015 : 8:15AM Avoid the urge to stick a nozzle of compressed air in there though, as it can be too much for the delicate internals. You can buy a "DVD lens cleaner" disc at most electronics stores, but in my experience, those are basically worthless as well. Might be time to upgrade to a dvd/blu-ray player, as you can get a decent one for under $100 these days. If your dvd player isn't 5+ yrs old though, then it might just be a smudge on the disc. Take a soft cotton cloth or microfiber cloth and wipe the disc, moving from the inside of the disc outward. NOT in a circular motion, as most assume is correct. If that doesn't work, I don't know. I tried it with my Sony Blu-ray player (didn’t work), so i went to the computer (where I have 4 different DVD drive models installed), where I can practically read everything. Some damaged discs work better with one model, some with the other one... Also, the disc was brand new, with no scratches etc. whatsoever, I would guess it’s a mastering error, e.g. some faulty or insufficient error correction information present on the disc.
