Everyone has their opinion. But IMO his stuff is average at best. I am not alone among many who don't even consider it professionally shot anal. Low, low quality wanna be gonzo with a guy who prattles on way too much during the scene and gets excitement out of ridiculous face slapping.

What he's doing now is pretty formulaic, though: he interviews a beautiful girl in a hotel room and then proceeds to either fuck her himself or calls in some of his old buddies to do it. You hardly see another setting than a hotel bed now. I don't know why he even bothers publishing two "different" series, his Castings and Wake Up and Fuck - they're pretty much identical. Mind you, I know that there's not much money to be made in porn anymore, at least not as much as there used to be up until about 15 years ago, so I can see how he would want to economize, especially when he still pays the girls good money! I highly respect Woodman's loyalty towards his old companions, that's something you don't get much anymore these days. And I respect even more that he seems to respect his girls. Since his videos are gonzo, you can often tell just from watching them that the girls are having genuine fun and getting off in bed.

I just wish he would bring a bit more diversity back into his productions. Younger male talents and different locations would be a nice thing. And better camera work - meaning that he should stay out of the action a bit more. Otherwise, cut the man some slack - he still gets awesome girls to work for him, so no-one should be dissing him. For what he's done for porn for 30 (!) years, he can be as full of himself as he wants... he's earned it.

He does from time to time shoot some videos where he isn't in the scene but I doubt he will go down the route of hiring younger male performers and shooting them having sex with the women because that wouldn't be the kind of porn most of his fans want to see and it would increase the cost of production. I much prefer seeing Pierre one-on-one with the women because you get an intimacy that you would not get if it was another guy and Pierre was shooting the scene. It's okay if he starts with the woman by himself and then adds other men because if he is going to be doing a DP then he needs another performer to do it.
