"Upload" has just been released in Germany.
While the film takes place in the future the DVD sends the viewer back into the dark ages of VHS.
The image is compressed down to Vivid quality and even worse, the DVD only contains a German dub track, no original language track.
Furthermore Magmafilm split the film.
They only released "Upload Teil 1".
German fans have to wait for the conclusion on the "Upload Teil 2" DVD.
Eli, your company has to find a new German distributor.
Magmafilm doesn't meet the standard that Sex Z Pictures set.

I never buy European versions of American films. They usually fuck up the PAL conversion and I don't see why we need that anyway given that 99% of our TV sets and players can handle both NTSC and PAL. The only reason to get Euro versions would be if they contain uncensored content like fisting etc.
So Eli should probably get a new German distributor and also he should finally release an uncensored version of Upload and Corruption on Blu-ray. That'd be nice. I've been holding off on buying these movies just because I'm waiting for uncensored Blu-rays.

German customs confiscates all porn DVDs.
Hence I can't order porn from the US.
Much US porn is available in Germany.
DVDs from Wicked, Digital Playground etc. are all released in unaltered versions. I'm glad they don't bother with conversion or dubbing.
Eli's "Corruption" is also available in the normal version in Germany.
But the "Upload" release is totally fucked up.

What are you talking about? I've ordered literally a hundred times from the States and only once was an order of mine confiscated (just recently actually). As long as you don't order 20 DVDs in one package you won't have any trouble whatsoever. Customs agents are so busy that they probably only check like 5 per cent of small packages.

We wouldn't ship to Germany if 5% of the packages was confiscated. Actually, I know of no German customer who ever had any trouble getting porn from us.

5% was just a wild guess. The percentage might even be lower. No wonder you've never had any problems because you ship from within the EU, right? Inner European parcels are never checked by customs agents so there is no problem at all with those!
The laws regarding porn in Germany might seem harsh but the reality is different. I couldn't live in a country where I really have problems getting porn in like England for example so I'm quite grateful that it's not so bad here.

Prophit, what are you talking about? There's no real problem getting porn in England. Other than certain aspects of content being proscribed, the situation is not really that different to Germany.
Anyway, sorry, I am contributing to this digression from the main thrust of Juha's post which is to draw attention to the poor quality of this DVD.

I wish member Magmafilm who joined ADT in August would explain why they released such a DVD.
It sucks big time. And not in a good way.

Sorry, from what I've read on this forum I had the idea that it might be pretty bad in England. Customs officials looking through many orders and seizing stuff that contains forbidden sex acts. If that's not the case then I must confuse it with another country.
