I've been looking into different email encryption solutions for a client and I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations. There's good old OpenPGP, and I like Cryptomathic's File2File and they have an email package, and ShyFile's 6144 bit encryption sounds great, and ... you can spend weeks evaluating software. Of course, they want something brain-dead that requires no third-party software on the recipient. Oh, you want cake? AND to eat it, too?? WTF? They're all Win2K and XP running Outlook. (SHHHHH! I know, I know) To shut 'em up, I had them go download PowerCrypt 2000, because it's free and easy. Well, there it is. I'd managed so far to keep my IT life separate from my ADT life, but what the hell -- I'd love to get some feedback if you don't mind talking shop with me! Thanks! [Link] |

Perfect! File2File adds a right-click (context) menu shell extension, so all you have to do is right-click on a file or folder, choose File2File -> Encrypt.
