Umm aren't you being harsh on the Rehab facility?? the last thing that anyone should want is the closing down of a rehab facility. From what i've experienced and seen among drug users/abusers is that they are very good at finding ways to take the substance again not saying i know for certain what happened with Emily and any speculation would be absolutely wrong but in my view its really wrong to react in a manner to close these rehab facilities rather ask for better rehabilitation facilities since there is a sort of Epidemic of substance abuse going on in LA
I've always said, "if someone wants to do drugs bad enough, they'll find a way," PERIOD. I've done some volunteer work at rehab facilities over the years and I'm amazed at some of the ways residents find ways to smuggle in drugs, eg the obvious body cavities, prosthetic limps, crutches, canes, shoes, watches, tampons, and the scariest, someone put a couple of bags of heroin in their eye socket behind their prosthetic eye. I remember an ice cream truck that was given permission to come to a facility and was selling Crack. Sadly, this is the world we live in today. I personally have a niece who has profound brain damage from an overdose and cardiac arrest. She will have to be cared for the rest of her life.

rehab centers - no matter how expensive, exclusive or highly monitored - are all filled with drugs. I've had friends go in for booze and coke and come out addicted to opiates...
Hope she gets better. Don't have to remind her or others how beautiful she is and she can change her life however she wants. At age 25 she's just a kid with a future ahead. Don't throw it all away with drugs or alcohol addiction.

tbf this development isn't surprising and it was pretty obvious she wasn't going to come out of this unscathed. the lack of a statement from herself also made it obvious she was comatose. and re what the family saying they can't access her funds to help w her care was also unsurprising. we can hope for the best for her but we should brace ourselves for the worst.
Wow, Jesus Christ, that is devastating news. I was under the assumption she had barely survived but had a long journey ahead. This is telling us that she's in a coma, on a ventilator, and (we can infer) could pass any day.
This is way worse than what was previously reported. I trust TMZ with this stuff. The owner is a lawyer who really goes over things with a fine comb before anything makes it out the door. The fact that it does not appear drug related illustrates people being wrong about her condition. Jumping to conclusions just makes things worse. I was on a ventilator for 21 days. If she makes it out, the recovery is rough.
^ I agree. He is cold blooded for saying that. Emily is a human and not an object. She is fighting for her life and for someone to come on here and say that is wrong on so many levels.
Wow. If she really is retired, this is why I'm starting to dislike and ignore award shows. It seems like award shows are cursed. Once someone wins an award, they disappear, or they begin to decline and aren't able to recover from it and become big again. Doesn't matter what. Oscars, Grammys, Tony's, Emmys, anything related to the adult film industry, and so on. But Emily was everywhere and stuff for quite some time. Then she won Performer Of The Year a few years ago and we saw less and less of her until she fully went MIA. Or she took a break but then never returned. So by the looks of it, winning that POTY award is what triggered stuff. And with that, I'm further convinced these award shows come with a curse. If that's the case, I don't really want to see any of favorites win awards. Plus maybe it's a good thing a lot of my favorites haven't won anything or much along with the usuals winning everything. Like Abella Danger always winning Best Ass (although I think her ass is overrated) or Angela White winning Best Boobs (bigger isn't always better and she usually wins because she has big boobs, but I do like boobs of any size, so don't think I just like small/small-er boobs).
tbf i suspect the retirement had to do w the defamation case she filled against gianna and adria. the mean girling they did prob made her think she doesn't wanna do porn anymore which makes sense if you believe what some have claimed that she had said before she was unsure about getting into porn
Emily was outspoken about winning a second POTY award, said that was her goal. She was quite active that year and looked poised to go back to back. However that year it when to one of her rivals. I honestly feel if she won that award she would have stayed in the industry, and who knows, we probably would have a got a lengthy run from her. That being said, all that no longer matters, nor do I care at this point. I just pray she recovers and lives a long healthy life outside the industry.
Paiges' comments were quite alarming, about possibly feeling trapped by her fame. She is a generational talent, but I think her fame grew even more exponentially because her rise coincided with the pandemic. There was a sharp rise in adult film consumption at that time, and I think she was POTY in 2020 if I am not mistaken.
given how paige is a "radical feminist" who claims all women in porn are vulnerable and taken advantaged of we can't take her claim about emily at face value.
^^ It's continued proof of what the side effects the industry brings. Emily had her demons before entering porn. She's not the first, and certainly won't be the last.
The rehab facility she went to have to take some responsibility, and the family should sue.
i m seeing the term "vegetative state" being mentioned in articles. that pretty much confirms even if she survives she will never be back to a functioning adult correct? or is it possible to regain almost all normal functions once you go into a vegetative coma? i am not trying to be a troll i simply dont know medicine and am concerned and sad for one of my favorite current performers.
At this point, it is impossible to say whether she will be fully functioning again.
Edited to add: A vegetative coma means she isn't responsive to outside stimuli. People can and have come out of them with no issues, others have come out with brain damage that causes lifelong impairment, and others never come out of them.
ah ok. did not realize the term was that broad in range. makes sense though. still not very good. i imagine the ones who come out unscathed long term are def. in the minority of such cases.
He was fucking one of the staff and got his drug of choice delivered to the facility by one of his buddies. It is not such an outlier to think Emily did the same. Sad
Problem is that once you have been off for a while your tolerance is not as high. I wish nothing but good for her and appreciate all the pleasure she brought her fans as a performer when she was on top of her game

Thanks for sharing this brother. My heart feels so heavy since i heard what happened to Emily, She is a light in a sadly very dark world and the world is a better place with Emily and her wonderful energy and passion in it.
Your story makes me think of my brother story. He had sickle cell and he caught a cold when he was 17 from a trip to Washington D.C. He went to the hospital and was fine. Before he got discharged the doctor gave him blood that rushed too fast to his brain and he had an aneurysm and stroke. He fell into a coma for an entire month. The doctors didn't think he would make it. Told my parents to start making funeral arrangements. If he did make it he would be in a vegetative state. He woke up and the road to recovery was long and hard.
He had to learn how to walk and talk again. He walked with a limp from the stroke that affected his left side. He had short term memory loss. He had seizures. For awhile he had to get shots every night and was drinking ensure because he could eat anything solid from mouth. But he steadily improved. He was a fighter and stayed positive. He also had to get a port in his chest because he was going often to get blood transfusions for his sickle cell.
Emily can make it with strong prayers, staying positive, being a fighter, and tons of support. Like you said and I'm saying it's going to be a very long road for her. I'm glad your daughter made a near full recovery to being her old self. My brother wasn't close to where he was before his coma but he came a very long way that doctors didn't think was possible.
Someone should forward all of our supportive comments in this community to her family in the hopes that Emily herself will see it someday. Hopefully this would give her even more motivation to fight.
More like $15K for the month of inpatient including my insurance contribution. I have good health insurance but had not hit my deductible. It saved my life. I was drinking a fifth of Jack per day for about six months when I checked in. Not a sustainable life
Thank you! Sadly my brother passed away back in 2016 due to pneumonia. He lived for 22yrs after waking up from his coma. Again he was a fighter and his lived his life happy. He still got to graduate from high school and even went to college briefly. So he didnt let what happened to him keep him down. It only made him stronger.
^ He was. He was very friendly too. He never met a stranger. He had a big heart and would do anything for someone who asked for help. And he shared his story of what he experienced while being in a coma. He said he saw everyone crying over him thinking he wouldn't make it. He saw all the tubes and machines that he was hooked up too. He was an inspiration.
