According to Stunningcurves.com Erik Everhard might be leaving Ana/Dia just like Mike John, Lex, and John Doe!!! Stunningcurves talked with Erik and he said he was still with Anabolic "As of today." That doesn't sound too good if you want to see Erik shooting for Ana/Dia. What in hell is going on with Ana/Dia? That company is falling apart at the seems. RLD is throwing a party right now and rightly so.
I think that Anabolic/Diabolic may have made a big mistake in not agreeing to let the directors own their movies. I'm pretty sure that Evil Angel and RLD work that way, and it seems to be what established and successful directors want most, to own thier own content. Anabolic/Diabolic may have called all these guys bluff (Erik, Lex, Jon) and lost.

I agree M.B. Anabolic/Diabolic have refused to adjust to an always changing industry. Evil Angel and RLD have paven the way to a new age of porn. It is amazing how quickly RLD has nocked the competition off it's pedistal. Hail Dion Giarusso!!!

It is not too late for Anabolic/Diabolic, but they need to be more open to constructive criticism and make some important changes. One is simultaneous releases. Another may be to give proven directors ownership. Another is to get their release date schedule act together. They do not take advantage of the free (or cheap) publicity they can get by announcing releases 3 to 4 weeks in advance (and of course keeping the schedule). I hope they read the comments and improve their act and get bigger and better. Now is not the time to cut back.

Correctomundo Ronk!!! Maybe it is already too late. Think about it. If everhard goes, they lost most of there good directors to the competition. Not good business.
D-M, you know what this all reminds me of? It's like a flashback to the simultaneous exodus of Rob Black, Van Damage, Tom Byron, and Tiffany Minx from Elegant Angel a few years ago. The issue was the same: ownership of their own movies. I think that's when the idea of directors owning their own movies, while still working for a studio owned by someone else, first arose. That idea is not really new. It's just making a recurrence.
However, it should also be pointed out that, despite the exodus, Elegant Angel survived and is now doing quite well. Provided Chris and Gregg plan to continue with Ana/Dia, I'm sure that Ana/Dia will survive and eventually do quite well, also.
hey, when does that diabolic flick "initiations 9" come out?? lex is leaving dia/ana?? will he still be able to be in movies for ana/dia if he goes to red light??

I hope your right Pontus. I am skeptical though. To me, elegant Angel never was a rival to the better studios out there.
Anabolic will do just fine because they still have Jean Yves Lecastel making movies for them. Jean Yves is one of the best director out there and for me he's the best performer of all time! I mean who can shoot better gapes than Jean Yves himself?
Jean Yves Lecastel all the way!

I like Jy Lecastel too Ramsey but I don't think he can pull the weight of the whole studio.
I agree DM but they can start by giving him another serie, a gang bang serie directed by Jean Yves would be just great. I can already count the ammount of gapes!
maybe anabolic should hire jules jordan when he's done with evil angel.
hey, does sean micheals still appear in anabolic movies? upcomming or currently new ones?

Not a bad idea. Looking at the company as a whole, they are going to have to hire some great directors to keep up with there lines. If Everhard leaves they are in trouble. They have to start a different system with there directors. They have to start letting there directors own there own product like RLD and Evil Angel. This is the trend in the industry right now. If Ana/Dia refuse to acknowlege this, they will loose big time in the long run.
I broke down and bought "2 on 1 #14" on VHS. Directed by Everhard. Total quality, great girls, dirty chatter, nasty Anabolic-style poundings, sexy outfits, pretty damn good tease set-ups, variety of sex locations, lots of RonK-approved nasty gaping cum and lube-spattered double trouble (hence, the title, right?), the absolutely fabulous Ander Page -- who MUST become my wife, if she's got anything left after dealing with this wrecking crew, and, er, so on.
Which is to say, if they keep Everhard, they won't have too many worries. And from a glimpsing a new clip from John Strong's new line "Double Stuffed" on the pay site, with lithe and willing Ander undergoing exactly the process implied in the title, I think if the "reputed Russian mobster" sticks around, they have no fear of slipping away from the muscular and thrusting "house" style.
Just get 'em out on DVDs now ... fellas ... "Sweet Cheeks 3," the new "Nasty NYmphos," .... I wanna buy 'em while their fresh! BUt I really want to get 'em on DVD.

Well, I'm going to let the cat out of the bag for AdultDVDTalk. I'd post this on Lukeford, but I just really don't feel like it yet.
As of today, Erik Everhard and Anabolic have parted ways. It was amicable and cordial.
Erik is a good friend and he'll be leaving for a Euro trip in a couple of weeks to plow through some foreign broads abroad.
I hope he doesn't visit with a certain Evil Vegetarian because the Soy Burger munching guy makes me want to puke.
We'll see what the future holds for Erik and I wish him the best.
Wanker Somewhere plucking his pubes with a tweezer
Aybesea, provided that they haven't decided to go out of business, I have a sneaking suspicion that Anabolic has something big up their sleeves. They could be sitting on information that will rock the industry, waiting for the right moment to issue a press release.
Dion, if you manage to get Erik Everhard and Mike John (in addition to already having Lexington Steele for sure), then I think Evil Angel will need to call an emergency staff meeting to determine how the heck they are going to continue to stay on top. RLD might very well be on track to one day be the undisputed king of gonzo studios.
Haha, A/D is going down the tubes fast. I stopped buying their DVDs a couple of months ago. It was a conscious decision, I was not going to support them anymore.
I only buy Evil Angel now, and a few select series (ie: Mason's Dirty Trixx). A/D is history, my friends.
Even if I wanted the type of linear action A/D provides, I would rather get Red Light District. But even they are pretty dumb, their stuff is high quality, but I don't like them since they ripped all their ideas off A/D. I can't support that lack of originality.
That's why I only buy Evil Angel. Saves me lots of $$$ and headaches on deciding what to get!
The only way A/D will survive is if they make a deal with John Thompson to release GGG movies here. That will put them back on top. I would buy those in a second... book it!
Anabolic had all these directors you mention but still they didn't come close to the Evil Angel! Evil Angel will always be on top because of the quality of their directors and because they always release high quality products.
Well, before Ana/Dia closes up shop, please make sure and release ALL of Giovanna's footage to the buying public. Just kidding.. sort of.
There must be something going on with this. How can they lose practically ALL their male performers/directors in a two week span and still stay in business???
There is definitely going to be some hell of a shake-up depending on where all these guys go. Very interesting to watch it all unfold and hopefully the consumer will reap the rewards!
Ramsey, throughout history, complacency has doomed more companies (porn and non-porn) than almost any other factor (and no, I'm not accusing Evil Angel of being complacent). I was warning them not to be complacent. Things will surely change in time at Evil Angel (as they do everywhere else). Directors will eventually leave or retire. Consumer tastes can change. Lots of things can change. In no time at all, a company that was once dominant can end up playing second fiddle to another company that they didn't take seriously enough early on.
Regarding Red Light District Video becoming an even bigger player in the industry, here's what I meant. In some respects, RLD has been stronger than Ana/Dia ever was, such as in releasing their movie lines on schedule and with dual VHS/DVD releases. RLD also consistently showcases fresh talent, whereas Ana/Dia too often recyles the same women. RLD shoots scenes and then gets their movies released in a timely fashion. Ana/Dia shoots scenes and sometimes has them sitting on the shelves for a year or even longer. In my opinion, RLD, generally speaking, has been more responsive to what their fans want than Ana/Dia has been.
Now, RLD has already added the great Lexington Steele to their stable of directors (and will also have him as a performer). If RLD were to also add Erik Everhard and Mike John to the talent pool they already have, in addition to the other things that I mentioned (as well as things I didn't mention), then all of that would begin to alter the balance of power among the gonzo studios. Yes, in the short term, Evil Angel will continue to reign supreme, but that could change over time. Dion has been proving himself to be quite the visionary business executive and deal maker. It also helps that his vision is not clouded by egotism (Dion is very humble and not in the least bit full of himself). Nor is he greedy. I see Dion eventually taking RLD to a higher level than what anyone can currently imagine.
Also realize, Ramsey, that, unlike you, many people already prefer RLD to Evil Angel (or at the very least, hold them in equally high regard).

Pontus, as usual we are in total agreement. RLD has all the components needed to be a contender for the #1 slot. Personally outside of the Jules and some of the Buttman and Rocco stuff, Im not a huge fan of the evil angel stuff. I do acknowlege that they are a great studio with a great products produced regularly. It does sadden me to watch Anabolic/DIabolic just go down the tubes like this. What are they thinking? How do they just let there company just fall apart by the wayside? Now that is lex, Mike John, John Dough, and now Erik Everhard. That is there 4 best directors. J Y Lecastel is good but he only does the Euro stuff right? John Strong is very good but there going to have to hire other directors to fill the gap. What are the odds that these directors are going to be nearly as good behind or in front of the camera? Not very good at all! This has been a terrible month!!! Anabolic/DIabolic goes down the tubes and Jessica Darlin signs with Extreme Morons!!!
Anybody else notice that the two high profile companies that are going through major upheaval right now (Extreme Associates and Anabolic/Diabolic) both have problems in the dvd department of their companies. Extreme Associates with some of the worst dvd transfers I've ever seen, and Anabolic/Diabolic releasing something like 4 titles every 2 months, and of those titles none are simultaneous. I do know that a lot of other things contributed to Extreme's struggles, but the dvd debacle certainly isn't helping them much. Seems like the companies that have their dvd departments in order are doing fine, and those that don't are struggling. Just an observation.
Right on. Two companies who have been around a very long time have the crappiest DVD track record in a market than sooner-or-later will be all DVD. Christ, even Devil's Films, which has no website (that I know of), no "coming soon" mechanism in place with on-line porn retailers and no top names (Except TT Boy) can get there DVD's out timely.
D-M, you're right, things have really been crazy lately (both in the porn world and in the "real" world). BTW, did you read that new e-mail that Jessica Darlin sent to Wanker Wang? She does come across as being much more intelligent than in that e-mail she sent to Roger T. Pipe. I do really love Jessica and I own a great many movies with her. But like you, D-M, I couldn't be more unhappy with her decision to return to Extreme Associates. Maybe Jessica and EA will prove everybody wrong and eventually return to their glory days. Then again, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'm trying to sell on the cheap.
In that interview that Chris Alexander just gave, he tried to paint a rosy picture of Ana/Dia, stating that there was no internal strife. Well, it's quite a fantastic coincidence for one big, happy family to lose four of its top directors all within a span of (what?) one-to-two weeks without any internal problems. It seems like Chris was doing some pretty serious spin control.
BTW, where's Cal444? Has he left, also? And regarding the Wanker, I get the impression from reading Wanker Wang's recent posts, that he himself seems apprehensive about the things going on at Ana/Dia (and he is their webmaster).
M.B. and Tom, great observations. More and more porn fans are forsaking VHS. Thus, if a studio doesn't have its act together as far as dual VHS/DVD releases on a regular and predictable schedule (with pristine DVD transfers), that doesn't bode well for its bottom line. VHS is well on its way out (look at what's been going on with the major rental chains like Blockbuster Video?). Tom, Devil's Films does have a website. At one time it was a pay site. But now it's just an information site.
Anybody else notice that the two high profile companies that are going through major upheaval right now (Extreme Associates and Anabolic/Diabolic) both have problems in the dvd department of their companies.
Extreme killed themselves when they waged a war on AVN, this is business, if no one knows about you, you're fucked. I hate to see Tommy Byron, go down with Rob Hack, but friendship and loyality may have blinded him. The only thing people are saying about Extreme, is that they suck, nothing much good has been said since the whole fued with AVN.
Ana/Diabolic still have some life in them, sure losing some major players is hard, but this should serve as an eye opener for them to listen to fans, and even directors. Mike John, Erik Everhard, and even Jon Dough, have their names to back them up so they shouldn't have trouble finding new homes. But for four big, almost forgot about Lex, players to be leaving in only a short amount of time, Ana/Diabolic should examine it's current state.
Here is the recent email Pontus is refering to that Jessica Darlin sent to Wanker Wang:

Pontus, I did read the email. I always felt that she was highly intellegent. She did come across much better than she did with Rog. I think you have a better chance of selling the bridge than EA turning it around. The bright side is that we sill have some great materieal with Jessica from Anabolic/Diabolic, Red Light District, and perhaps Evil Angel(Ass Worship 4). I just got Sticky Side Up 7 from West Coast Productions and there is a really good scene with Jessica, Bella, and jewel DeNyle. At least some good came from her comeback.
As far as the Anabolic/Diabolic disaster, I just hope that Red Light District and Evil Angel can pick up the slack. I think the fact that Cal444, hasen't responded on this board really shows the level of chaos going on over there. Either Cal is gone too, or he is too shell shocked to reply. Oh and as for Christopher Alexander, he is not giving us the whole picture. It is blatently obvious that the situation over at Anabolic/Diabolic is entirely out of control.

Wow wow wow.
First Lex, then Mike, and now Erik. Lex is the man, Mike is the human tripod, and Erik is the double everything champ.
Well A/D still has lots of new scenes for new releases and they should release them in an orderly, timely manner. Now is not the time to hold back on releases because the lack of visibility for a few weeks or months will be deadly. A/D should be more considerate to the fans instead of disagreeing with fans when A/D screws up. They need to hire the following in order of importance: 1) Better production managers, 2) Better scheduling managers (if not covered by the production manager), 3) New Directors, and 4) Cute, new, and do everything babes. They need to utilize the web for free promotion -- they were one of the first to do it and had they releases posted way in advance and could always keep the release dates, and then within the last 1 or 2, they got lazy and did not upgrade the site often and could not meet the release dates (and pissed fans off). With Wanker taking over as webmaster, things got a bit better but the release date problem was still not resolved. A/D must think of growth and simultaneous releases. They should not squander the goodwill they have built up over the past. They still make some good hardcore, but the competition is getting better. Heck even Skeeter is making good double everything titles and without Bridgette. RLD and EA make good stuff, and new players are coming on board including Anarchy, Mayhem, Subvision, and others. Existing players like Sin City, Devil, and WestCoast are also getting better. Anal Excursion 4 from Metro if it comes out soon will get the jump on A/D with Melanie's first dap.
Ignoring fan's feedback and claiming that it is my way or the highway is not the best way to maintain goodwill. I wish A/D well but they need to change their ways and be more responsive to fans, directors, and others.
It looks like the beginning of the END for Anabolic/Diabolic. All their "real" talent has now left. All is left is John Strong, Le Castel, & the owner Alexander. John Strong should change his name to John Weak. His scenes/movies are weak!
Hope Erik signs with Red Light or Evil Angel. 2 Solid "Gonzo" video companies.
Maybe A/D can turn it around by being bought out by another "more stable" company. This happens all the time in the real business World & why can't it happen in the Porn World.

Who owns Lukeford?
I do. I've heard all the rumors and let me squelch them right here. The site has no affiliation with Anabolic, VCA, AVN, whatsoever.
It is run by three bonafide morons ... my, myself, and me. And me posts there as me sees fit.

I just visited Anabolic's site and found one more thing that irritates me about A/D. A/D is now putting clips of new releases (double stuffed and Un-Natural Sex 9) on the paysites to get people to join the sites. The downside to this is, loyal fans with hundreds of A/D titles are getting screwed. I will not join the paysite because I have all the A/D scenes I want on video or dvd already. I am not going to join just to get clips of new prereleases. Why pay good money for old stuff? A/D is still showing a disregard for the fans that helped built the studio (I consider myself one of the longtime fans of A/D with hundreds of A/D titles even though I have been critical lately).
Instead of putting new scenes in the paysites, A/D should put more effort into getting the damn titles out asap in simultaneous formats. If they want to put out prerelease clips, it should be freebies in the free site.

Wanker, Nice job on the commentary yeaterday about the changing trends in the porn industry. That was a great peice. It should be posted along the walls of the Anabolic/Diabolic studios.
This can't be,what becomes of my favorite company? No more of the balls to the vaginal wall sweaty hardcore all holes filled dementia that is Anabolic. Now they're all working for RLD,everything is too clean,no more Spring Chickens,no more gorgeous women running around going "bawk bawk!"now they are all under the Redlight spell, they'll shoot their DP's in quarter angle all the time NO!
What? What?Oh,thank god,it..it was all a terrible dream. Oh,what a nightmare,I dreamt that RLD had assimilated some of the best director/performers in the biz like a pornographic Viacom and they were turning out good product but they all insisted on SHOOTING THEIR DP'S IN QUARTER ANGLE!And everyone agreed this was a good thing amid shouts of "hell I don't want to see some guys' sweaty ass in the way"and "If 2 cocks are rubbing together anyway, hell just rent some gay porn"
Oh it was terrible, and Pontus, you were there, and you too RonK.
Murray Head, I had a strange nightmare, also. I dreamt of a flying pig that couldn't fly straight. It was huge, like a Goodyear blimp. It had flashing neon letters that said, "Extreme Anabolic Associates." OINK! OINK! thundered from the night sky.
Suddenly, the bottom of the flying pig opened up like a trap door. Thousands of pornographic VHS tapes and DVDs began pouring down like acid rain. But the DVDs hit the ground looooooong after the VHS tapes did. OINK! OINK! bellowed the giant pig, its sound splitting my ear drums.
Then, I saw four tiny piglets parachute out of the wobbly, giant, flying pig. The piglets seemed meaty and desirable to cattle ranchers standing off in the distance, who were anxiously watching the piglets float down to earth, while moving closer to catch them.
Next, seemingly hundreds of checks began pouring out of the bottom of the giant flying pig, which still just couldn't fly straight no matter how hard it tried. The checks fluttered down, down, down and then began bouncing as they hit the ground. It seemed that practically every check bounced. OINK! OINK! shrieked the giant pig, its sound by now almost completely deafening me.
Then, abruptly, I woke up in a cold sweat, dismayed at what had just happened. Was it a dream? Was it real? What did it mean? Was the dream symbolic?
I got up out of bed, made myself a cup of tea, turned on the t.v., and tried to settle my nerves by watching late night infomercials until the dawn of the new day.

I too had a strange dream, but it was a day stallion flying high in the sky. This day stallion was all pumped up like on some muscle building steroid. Riding the day stallion, with horns and a tail and holding a fork was a strange creature, impish thing it was. You should see the size of the stallion’s penis; it easily almost touched the ground even though the stallion was flying high in the sky. Ejaculated from the giant penis were brightly colored rectangular objects, and people were cheering whenever they got hold of the objects. I struggled against the press of people to gather some of the objects, as they seemed to be of great value to the masses. Against the crowd I pushed and at times almost getting crushed in the process. I seem to notice many friendly faces, Pontus, Murray, Wanker, Cal, and Darth, and Steph, Drew, Sbando, and Wally. I even saw dear departed faces like Drube and Lube. I somehow instinctively recognized the faces even though I had never seen them before.
I managed to get to the front and got some ejaculated rectangular objects coming out of the great stallion in the sky, and saw that these were nice little boxes. I opened some boxes and saw some shinny disks inside. The boxes had pretty pictures at the back and different boxes had different themes. All had naked women in various sexual positions with naked men, but some seemed destined for couples and others were more hardcore. Some pictured double vaginal and others double anal. There were a few -- grasp choke, wheeze - triple anal and triple vaginal. Other pictures were of the romantic sort with soft bunny cuddly sex between loving couples, nice and pretty and friendly for all. I was wondering about the significance of the shinny disks when I heard the crowd crying, "VHS is dead, long live DVD." Another round of chants broke out and this time the message in the chant was, "One Company to bring them all, One Company to buy them all, One Company to produce them all, in the land of freedom for everyone regardless of taste, race, or face."
I struggled to determine the significance of the message. What does the pumped up, steroid using day horse signify and who is the impish creature? I also wondered about the strange chants at the end. What do the messages signify? Maybe and just maybe, the message connected to the future of entertainment of the adult sort.

I think you guys are wrong by saying that it's the end of Anabolic/Diabolic. They lost two good directors and two so so directors. I believe they will continue to make great movies.
Not all of us believe that Ana/Dia is going out of business (I certainly don't). I posted yesterday that I suspect Ana/Dia has something big (no pun intended) up their sleeves and are far from dead. I don't want Ana/Dia to go out of business. I just want them to get their act together. Even before they lost the four directors in rapid succession, they had serious problems and have received a great deal of constructive criticism from ADTers.
Wouldn't it be a trip if John Strong was the next one to flee A/D. They would literally have no directors.
What's strange in all of this is we all know the talented ones that took off from A/D: Lex, Jon, Mike, & Erik but there's no word on any signings of any new directors on A/D's part.
Nope. Directors make the series. Before Mike took over the "Up YOur Ass" series, it was Ok at best. With Mike John it became a must see release. Without Lex, Mike, and Erik Dia/Ana are pretty much on their last legs. I haven't seen any bench strength to prove me wrong.
i keep reading how jessica darlin going to extreme is going to be the end , well this could be the case i even wrote a thread titled the end of jessica darlin about her resigning with extreme. however upon futher inspection of my old jessica comps from her days at extreme ,all i have to say if extreme can get their shit together this may not be a bad move.
Everybody seems to forget that some of the nastiest shit she did was with extreme. she did her first DP their and then many followed ,she also started doing multiple guys their I seem to remember sole-survivor where she was dped by five guys in that scene. Also I don't believe Jessica swallowed cum at all until she began at extreme then she did it numerous times. So lets give Jessica some encouragement because if she makes her new days at extreme like her old and possibly even better I will be fucking happy. Plus if extreme gets off their asses and starts releasing new shit on quality dvd transfers who knows we may all sing a different tune 3 months from now. Just a fucking opinion after further consideration........
Porn4ever, of course anything is possible in theory. However, in the case of an Extreme Associates comeback, those odds are so long, they'd probably stretch from Earth to Pluto.
Their basic business strategy to start the regrowth process, now that Jess is back on board, would have to consist of these two essentials:
1. Petition the U.S. Treasury for the right of Extreme Associates to print their own money for business expansion.
2. Crawl over to Adult Video News, fall at Paul Fishbein's feet and grovel, eat 10,000 miles of crow, and pay in advance for monthly advertising in AVN until the year 2046.

I agree Ramsey Evil Angel will continue to be on top no matter what.
Ramsey, Big-G, whether or not Evil Angel will always be on top is speculative. No one can predict the future with certainty. Ditto for what I said about Red Light District Video. All three of us are merely speculating on future events. None of us has a crystal ball. However, Ramsey, you and I are in full agreement that John Stagliano is the master.
