As I've recently discovered this lady and after watching a few interviews of her and her films, she's seems like an intelligent person. I'm not sure if she has caused a slight uproar in the adult industry, as she wants porn to change, but in my view I don't think she's trying to sabotage it.
Has anybody met her, and do you think she would be successful if she directed for some studios?

Yeah, she's great! Waaaay better than the bland cookie-cutter crap everyone else is making. What I like about her is that she doesn't call her "feminist porn" or "porn for women", but trying to make a better kind of porn than the typical sexist norm, which is awesome.
Have you seen her XConfessions series? It is fantastic!!

She's terrific.
She may not fit the gonzo mode of production over here and that's a good thing.
Of her three films that I've reviewed, CABARET DESIRE is tops with XCONFESSIONS not far behind.
BARCELONA SEX PROJECT was the weakest of the three---tb

I like her philosophy and approach. Her films... to me, they are not as compelling as non-porn movies. If I were going to sit down and decide to watch a movie, I might choose something else. If I were going to watch porn...her movies are not 100% 'just sex' so there is a lot to wade through if you're not into the plot, and I don't always find her presentation erotic to my personal tastes.
But, I like her quite a bit. In fact, she recently released a movie called "Feminist and Submissive" which includes actual roundtable discussion about that topic as well as related sex scenes made specifically for the release. I'll probably re-join her site this weekend just to watch it. It looks interesting, thought-provoking, and well done.

Yes, Lust Cinema and XConfessions are great sites that show more realistic and passionate sex scenes with actual stories and plots. Other than Erika Lust they also have some of the best directors in porn like Casey Calvert and Inka Winter.
Casey has been a standout on both sites with great films like Sorrow Bay, Home For The Holidays and Apricity. To me, Lust's studios is the only studio doing it right in porn right now. Her films feel and look like "golden age" classics of the '70s and '80s.

This is one article I found but I know a couple of surveys had been done on women's porn habits and most have concluded that women are watching the same type of porn that men are watching.

I think most women are just watching the shit they see on PornHub just like men and really don't venture out to sign- up for subscription sites. This is the main reason pornstars and studios don't listen and cater to women
First off, The term "Porn for women" is just a label and I'm not even sure if Erika Lust even uses the term anymore. A lot of directors and producers like Erika Lust have used the term "feminists porn " or "Ethical Porn"
I just call it porn, again it's all just a label to sell to a market or to create a market to sell to.
I don't know why the words " Porn for women " or "Feminist Porn" is so triggering to some men on here. It's just a genre or label and seriously means nothing. Just like BBW, Gonzo, and other labels the porn industry sticks to a movie to sell.
But can the one or two women on this site answer question this or even a pornstar that actually watches porn and not some clout chaser who does nothing but gonzo.
