I couldn't find another thread about this, so forgive me if one already exists. After attending AEE for a couple years, I finally decided I'm going to check out ELA in June. Would any of you ELA vets please give me some idea what to expect? Specifically, what are some key differences between AEE and ELA? I assume photos and autographs are still free of charge. I've got my room booked at the Figueroa Hotel. I wanted to stay there for Star Wars Celebration IV, but I didn't book in time.
The main difference is that the stars/ fans aren't all staying in the same places or close by like in Vegas. Some might stay in the downtown area but I don't think as many do since they can go to their own homes once the show's over for the day. Now the autographs are still free but you'll find some girls selling polaroid pics with them and those cost a small fee but nothing harsh, I think last year I paid a buck for a pic with Natasha Nice but you can take as many pics of the girls as you'd like and they'll sign your dvd covers too just like in Vegas. The show doesn't have as many company booths as in Vegas so you'll find your fave girls in other booths maybe for a clothing line or their company booth will be much smaller than in LV. I seem to recall Carmen Luvana and Ava Rose signing in back of a table with a banner behind them and that was it but then ClubJenna had their regular booth so it varies. It's a lot of fun but the fans are there everyday so it can get crowded so just be patient and polite with the girls and you'll have a great time, I've been now four times I think and it's been a blast.
I should say now that I think about it you can get pics with the girls also, I was thinking incorrectly due to lack of sleep, lol, but you can also get those special pics taken and those cost a small fee like I said. It's worth going out for if you've not gone before and as a vet of the shows I still enjoy seeing everyone and catching up on things since the big Vegas get together, not sure on an ADT thing yet but as it draws closer I imagine it will be suggested.
Thanks, bono! I knew I could count on your expertise. Still a little confused about the photo fees. Now, I've been to some modeling shows where you have to pay at least $5 for every single photo you shoot. These shows drive me nuts, and I'm trying to wean myself off the habit. In the case of ELA. It sounds like some girls charge you once, and then that's it until you leave the table. Do I have that right?
Yep, as Bono said, it's much smaller than the AVN Expo in Vegas. Not as many big companies there but most of the heavy hitters are usually there (Jules, CJ, Red Light, etc.). As far as autographs, 99% of the time they don't charge. If there's a charge it's usually for those extra special poses. One of the main differences is that there are alot of DVD distributor selling DVD's (alot of times at a discounted rate). Alot of the studios sell DVD's next to the girls signing, so you can pick up their titles and get them signed on the spot. They're cool if you bring DVD covers from home. Being able to buy DVD's there is a big plus. I still prefer AVN Expo in LV. Hopefully that one doesn't die out....
Also, I hear the stars sometimes flash the fans at AEE (never been ), but don't count on it at Erotica. The cops really crack down on that, threatening to even arrest the ladies if they do. Edited by - EBastard on 3/15/2008 1:40:49 AM
