Observations of Day 1 Erotica LA seems smaller this year. Not in terms of booths or even attendance but in terms of space. Booths were smaller and seemed tighter so traffic got bunched in places. The tighter spaces also made it too difficult to interview people as there was too much noise in the background. Instead of last year where it was obvious there was an entire half of the convention to hang out (the company and girl booths) and another half to ignore (the vendor booths, the booths were well intermingled this year which makes people have a reason to explore the entire floor. Nooks and crannies had interesting sights. As usual, I had an interesting encounter with Tanner Mayes. She didn't remember our escapades in Vegas but still greeted me like an old friend. Her booth, Immoral Productions aka Porno Dan, had the most fun atmosphere. I was smitten by Faye Runaway which is appropriate since she looks like a taller Kylee Reese with tattoos and I am smitten by Kylee Reese. Speaking of Kylee Reese, I caught her chomping on Reese's peanut butter cups. I was impressed with Kagney Lynn Carter since she reminded me of a cross between Kelly Fuck'n Wells and Lexi Belle albeit with implants. One thing I found weird was that many booths charged five dollars to take a picture of the girls. I don't mean just taking picture with them; just taking a picture of them. In this economy, I understand the desire to make as much money as you can but the fans were equally reluctant to pay. One funny incident was that one booth charged 5 dollars to take a picture with Lexi Belle, but if you caught her signing at another booth 2 hours later; that booth and Lexi would happily take a picture with you for free! Instead I happily hung out with beautiful anonymous strippers who would happily flash you bits and pieces during their stage act if you tipped them dollars like you would at a strip club. Nice pics, morbid. I too liked how you could find "Easter Egg" girls by exploring the whole floor. I nearly gave up on finding Julia Ann when I finally stumbled across her booth. I only noticed one booth pulling that "Photos with your camera: $5" crap, and I happily boycotted it. Just how many were there? I know LA Direct charged for autographs and photos of you with the girl, but solo photos with your own camera were still free of charge. Anyways, as I stated in my own thread, I really have to go to sleep. Now.

Day 2 observations: Friday was quiet but Saturday was crowded. Due to the relatively much cheaper entry fee compared to Vegas, the trash was out in full effect today. Maybe pricing out the common man isn't such a bad thing as grown ghetto thugs behaved like they have never been around scantily clad women before. A significant population were wearing Laker colours supporting their team in the finals so I wore my Rockets reds. Chris Streams told me to spend my annual stupid fund to go to Brazil instead of Europe. He explained the variety of options that would await me including the women, the food, and the beach and the relatively low amount of money that would be exchanged. I proposed a field trip with JAG and the guys but then I remembered he would probably rather go to Thailand. Stoya was on the red carpet of the FAME Awards apart from the Digital Playground crew. She was also announced apart from them. I resisted all urges to scream out, "Let's see the muff!", and stuck to photographing her sparkly eyes. I wanted to go hide when some guy showed Georgia Jones a High Society layout with Jana Jordan and her. Georgia made several polite but choice comments about Jana that the guy looked like he'd rather be somewhere else too. Okay, I was speculating about his intent but the guy refused Georgia's offer on autographing over Jana's face. I saw old friends again and it was awkward to ask about their significant others knowing that porn years are accelerated years and anything could have happened in between the time I last met them. Baby G was a woman on a mission photographing for AVN and was pissed people kept interrupting her pictures to make small talk when they didn't know her. I guess that whole beauty thing can be a detriment. I had another funny encounter with Tanner Mayes at the end of the night. She's a trip and was disappointed that I wasn't going to the Porno Dan party with the rest of the folks. My feet needed rest and she probably didn't anticipate that I would have tried to latch onto Faye Runaway again.
Where were you before I started? Jerk. (We really need an angry shaking-fist icon...) Well it did give me something to do while sick. I couldn't do fuckin' anything else yesterday. ugh. I did it for ME, man... I did it for ME.

lol its cool, I'm pretty sure I'd be one of the sheep following her as well. Shit its probably her last public appearance unless she magically decides to un-retire which i doubt.
The booths were also less elaborate. Jules Jordan's booth consisted of very large vinyl banners instead of the "pornitentary". Evil Angel's booth was scaled back as well. There were no bars and neon ringing the booth. Vendors charging fans for taking pictures of the girls at Erotica LA has been going on since 2003. I'd like to know if the money if the money is going to the girls, since the collecting is done by the vendor. I know that girls at Adultcon and Glamourcon charge for pictures, but at least the girls are getting all of the money.

Morbid, I agree that mingling the vendor booths with the studios/talent, etc was a good idea - but it would've worked better in the larger space they had in the past. There was just too much congestion & logjams because of this. I can understand them partitioning off the hall and using less square footage so that it wouldn't appear as empty...but it didn't work... "I like to watch"

When asked by Faye Reagan if I wanted more pictures with only her and Georgia when I tried to get them with Celeste Star, I actually uhhh refused. I had a long conversation with Draven Star, commenting that she already had feedback on ADT and that her bow and laces leg tattoos are similar to Faye Runaway's. She promised a cat fight. I pointed the direction to Faye's booth but forgot to draw a map. Which tattoos? Well, here's a shot of them while Faye was uhhh running away from me... Speaking of Faye, she was seen going into the men's bathroom with a camera crew. Then she peed in a urinal. It was done in a non-tranny way (not like the movie Rock Star with Marky Mark) and was hot. While reviewing this with the crew, I was paying attention to how relatively clean the bathroom and the urinal seemed to be. Any guess again which booth I enjoyed hanging around at?
