I've been collecting Private DVDs for the past two years and I agree with some of the postings here that they are some of the best adult DVDs around. Anyway, I noticed that Private North America made a mistake on the latest Private/Penthouse DVD title they released. For Private/Penthouse #10 "Without Limits: Sex Out of Control", the synopsis printed on the back cover of the said DVD was incorrect and was in fact the same synopsis as Private/Penthouse #9 "Sex Forever" (NOTE: Both "Without Limits" and "Sex Forever" are each self-contained stories with different characters on each movie and are not related to each other storywise). So far, I only noticed this error on the North American copies as the copies from other countries had the correct synopsis on their DVD back covers. FYI, the correct synopsis for "Without Limits: Sex Out of Control" is as follows(taken from Private's own shopping website):

"Andrew is a rich business manager, a reserved person who loves sports and tries not to let Michael, a friend and business associate, get him involved in group sex situations. Nevertheless, behind his formal outward appearance, Andrew conceals a rather perverse personality. In fact, when he is alone, he organizes little parties at which he enjoys sex with various prostitutes....An extremely hot thriller with exciting sex scenes, anal penetrations, DPs....and carrying Antonio Adamo's unmistakable seal of quality".

One other thing: the actual title of this movie is "Without Control"(which you will see once you play both the movie and the featurette) but for some unexplained reason the DVD cover and menus call it "Without Limits: Sex Out of Control"

hannibal,

You almost put me asleep...lol. I don't know about everyone else here, but I could care less what the plot is about. I buy my PRIVATE dvds because they have hot sex. I may be alone in this view, but I'll say it again I could care less what's on the back cover.

And Thats my $0.02

Steve - Some people use the synopsis and information from the covers when deciding what they are going to buy. Hannibal5's input is helpful to them.

Yea I know Drew, that's why I just put in my 2 cents and left it as that. I guess whatever floats your boat. I guess some people like stories & some like me love the sex.

Another Private/Penthouse title with an incorrect Box Cover is "The Last Muse". This title incorrectly lists Krystal DeBoor in the cast on the cover. They also list this title in Krystal DeBoor's bio on other discs.

I purchased this disc based on her presence. Fortunately, I bought from a local store, where I know the people pretty well. They allowed me to return the disc for full credit.

Thanks a lot for the info hannibal5. It's great to see people posting errors they see on covers so that others can order or find the right features. I'm sure others wouldn't be quite so rude if they bought a feature "just for the sex" only to find that it was a different style movie.

Thanks, Astroknight and Drew. The reason I posted this is that websites that sell adult DVDs use the synopsis for advertising and selling them. For "Without Limits", all the e-vendors that I have visited (DVD Exotic, Adult DVD Empire, etc) have the wrong synopsis posted on the DVD's info page. Imagine a potential uninformed buyer becoming interested in this title because of what he read on the info page (not only because of the pretty pictures on the cover) and ordered it and found that the movie was different from what he read in the synopsis. He'll probably return it back and form an impression that what he read on the box cover isn't necessarily what he will get. It will certainly hurt the e-vendors and most especially the adult movie companies because of false advertising. Anyway, I'd like to hear Roger's take on this and see what he says.

It's very similar to when you rent a movie because a certain girl is featured on the cover and then she's nowhere to be found on the actual tape/disc.

I'm sure there are many people who are interested in reading the synopsis of a feature before making a rental or purchase decision. It's silly to assume that all porn viewers fast forward all the time to the sex scenes. The couples market is the first group that comes to mind.

Pointing out these types of errors is very useful. What we are talking about here are content problems in general where the box doesn't match what's on the media.

Thank you for posting the link to your web page on that other thread. It's very helpful to see all the errors that are out there these days. I was disappointed when I got "The Anal Adventures Of Suzy Super Slut PART 3 inside the DVD case for PART 1 because Leena wasn't in it.

I only have to say sorry to everyone confused by this error in our USA covers of "Without Limits: Sex Out of Control".

We take a lot of care with our covers, as with all the rest of the production items. We do produce more than 200 different covers (Video + DVD) in 10 different languages every month, but this is no excuse and I apologise for this.

I hope it won't happen again.

Roger
