So recently I notice that the internet has been plastered with tube site videos. They take you to Evilempire.com and Devilsfilm.com. Then if you join these sites you get access to a whole bunch of each others sites. They all seem to be quite visibly sucking each other off via tube site cash. Are there any companies that both sponsor this forum and promote there tube sites? What exactly is the ban of references via tube site trying to accomplish?
Here's my view on tube sites. They exist in large part because some people in the porn industry want them to exist. That doesn't mean that tube sites aren't slowly killing the industry by creating the illusion of free porn. If porn were truly free than that would be a first in the history of the world. Now part of the content on tube sites is leased but a part of the content is stolen. I honestly don't know the percentage of which is which and since I don't visit tube sites then I'll never know. It's true that some people will see a certain scene and want to join whichever site produced it or buy the dvd from the studio who made it but I think the number is insignificant compared to those that watched the scene, know where it's located (if they want to see it again) and simply moved on to something else. At some point studios will produce less and less porn as more f it winds up on tube sites and what you'll have is older and older content being recycled by the tube sites but no new porn being made. The industry doesn't appear to want to do anything about it so it's left to the rest of us to police it for them. I pay for my porn because I want to have new porn in a month, a year or a decade from now. Why would I send any Tom Dick and Harry to where they can get the same scene I paid for?
I don't know what the answer is and I'm certainly not going to promote or defend tube sites, but iTunes seems to have demonstrated that low cost music can succeed against illegal free music, but you need LOTS of volume (no pun intended). I'm not sure it will work in porn, but I also don't think anyone has tried it. But, I think the current $30/month or more isn't working either.
It just seems that all companies have basically merged. Then bound up product and redistribute it via tube site. All seem connected in some way or another. All the big legit companies have tube site ads. If I was telling everyone to recycle their garbage while dumping trucks of unsorted trash at the dump. Id say I was pulling the old double standard. Playing both sides of the fence. Its a lot like how the banks got to fuck the American people and they dont even know how there being fukt. Keep it real confusing dont they. I doubt there will even be an answer that smells right.
I've suggested before the tube sites are similar to radio. It's a way for the industry to 'play' their products and advertise. If you want to advertise your product to customers, the tube sites offer that opportunity. Where else can they find their customers??? Maybe they just need to do a more effective job of placing their ads? Edited by - rod on 11/8/2011 2:58:18 AM
^ I second that. And keep it a fair playing field for the other small small small percentage of porn that isnt 'The Porn Company' under many different names. Some of the hottest porn Ive seen was submitted by amateurs. Not for a buck. For the sake of just to fuck.
I don't know if you are aware of this but radio station have to pay the owners of the song each time they play them on air. Tube sites don't so you analogy doesn't work. Now if tube sites really worked like radio stations than that would be great because the owner of the scene would get royalties every time the scene is watched.
^Why do they make you click shit then? Youve basically paid as soon as youve clicked on it. Sure its not real cash. But then again theres no such thing as real cash anyhow. So I think the radio example may work. Instead of ratings its clicks. Funny how nobody with the skinny on this steps up to explain it. If its explainable. Ethically explainable.
^ Good to hear responses. Those that participate bring health to the discussion process. Not trying to always be negative dick. Trying to learn and perhaps educate. charn. Do you hear the quality of modern music. New rock alternative is about at par with industry. When the shit gets that similar sounding and ultra trendy. Shitty trend that is. All the colours mix together and we get doo-doo brown. And I wouldnt pay for doo-doo brown anyhow. This no tube site reference seems to be nothing more than another control issue. The one porn conglomerate that seeks to control everything. Including how there product is even discussed.
^I may be naive, but I don't buy the "Great Porn Cabal" theory on which your argument depends. I don't believe that every clip on every tubesite and every DVD studio and every porn website (freesites and paysites) is somehow controlled/owned/operated by a single entity. Therefore, the simple answer to your question is: Even if (for the sake of argument) some of the advertisers at ADT have ties to some of the tubesites, many of the tubesites are owned/operated by rogues, pirates, and thieves. So as a practical matter, it is simpler to have a total ban against tubesites, than to attempt to develop a whitelist of "approved" tubesites.
^ I see. Understanding more. I wouldnt expect one to buy into a cabal theory. Theres to many different company names to make it all seem disconnected. But its always been the same dudes running the show. Its just a club with ideals and rules. Dont mean anything by it. Just dont agree with the direction of porn. The webpages state in flashing color that they definitely all connect once you join a site. They dont compete they just share. It seems. So I guess the money trail will need to be transparent if anyone is ever going to make a concrete decision on who is thief and whos legit. In the meantime it seems the legit will be running with the thieves in a tube site stampede. That were not allowed to refer to. And I fully respect those rules. Just trying to understand it better. thanx.
