Speelie lent me 4 DVDs to review & watch & these movies are just incredible. Even though Hardball 11 is the weakest, it still rocks a bit! Check out my reviews for... I plan to review everyone of the movies in the Hardball series excluding Hardball 9: Screw University & Hardball 15: House of Ass. So, what do you all think about these movies? What are your favorite Hardball movies & scenes?

| Reason Member 135 Posts 1/00 | Posted - Apr 10 2002 : 5:37AM This is likely only marginally on-topic, but here goes anyway: I watched one of the Euro Angels titles (not Hardball) a while ago, and, to my surprise, actually liked it. According to IAFD this DVD appears to be Euro Angels 19, although it is titled as "Euro Anal Teens 2" from the German company MMV, and at the time I thought I was actually buying a German production. As an aside, it would be nice to be able to find out the correlations between DVD or VHS releases in different countries, and also which ones are dubbed. (This one happened to be undubbed and without subtitles, which suited me just fine.) Of course, maintaining such a database would probably to be too much of an effort. For instance, the cover of the German version is totally different from the US VHS cover of EA 19 (for instance here). MMV seems to be especially problematic in this respect: I am sort of wary of buying anything by them, because there is no way to know what I will actually get, although in this particular case I was lucky. Anyway, this was the first and only Euro Angels I have seen, and I liked the, well, friendly atmosphere - Christophe Clark was funny and enthusiastic, and there was even some fetish appeal. Not to mention his own gape fetish - he was oohing and aahing and praising every single dilated anus, which sort of made the whole theme more acceptable for me, even with some of the largest gapes I have seen. (Although I am sort of wondering whether the last girl Piroska wants to be remembered in the years to come from the scene where her open ass is plunged repeatedly by different men, complete with sound effects resulting from airflow in and out of her vagina.) There were more genuine-looking smiles than usual in this kind of production. What I'd like to know, is this representative of the series? [Link] |

It's one of the best, though in my book Christoph has never quite matched the sleazy appeal of the very first edition in the series. #8 is very good too - Catherine Count's performance is quite credible! The earlier ones (#2, #3) tend to feature some quite unattractive women, but with very HC action. I also wonder why you think #11 is "weak", it seems to have some pretty hardcore action, esp. compared to parts of #12, which I do consider weak. #13 was good, but too Liza Pirelli is too annoying. I also wonder how you can say you think #15 "looks like shit"? Have you even watched it yet? Give it a chance. It makes for pleasant viewing, I assure you. [Link] |

Even if it "looks" bad, you're bound to find some moments you'll enjoy, and you would never know if you don't try (and as I am trying to indicate, it can't be that much of a risk). Taste, as always, is relative. I liked Hardball 12 better than Gabriel did, while we both liked #11 more than you did. I didn't much like #14 at all, though it was more that it didn't appeal to me than that I thought it was badly made. This is why it is good that many of these movies (and all pornos) have multiple reviews posted, to let people have more of an opportunity to make up their mind on whether to view/purchase them. Yes, Monique smoked, but I still don't care for her. That's all there is to it. Hardball 12 has more better scenes than Hardball 11. Liza Pirelli annoying? No! She was sexy! Hardball 14 has some great & funny moments ("Put your hand in your mouth"). Jeanette's scene SMOKES SO MUCH! Hardball 15 doesn't look very good to me, judging by the cover. I'm not sure I may see this. Hardball 9 doesn't look very good, either. Isn't Sharone & Monica Sweetheart in that one? Hardball 7 sounds SO, SO funny! I'll review it as soon as it is released! ANAL RINGMASTER! And... at first, I thought Hardball 5 would be shit, but I saw more clips & read more reviews about it. I WANNA SEE IT!!! Hardball 3, 4, 12, 13 & 14 are THE BEST! My main other priorities are to see 2, 5-8, 10 & 16! I believe Christoph grew as a director, because he did have some nasty picture flaws in the beginning of his series. ESPECIALLY #3. No flaws now! He's good!

Hardball #11 was more to my taste, and doesn't have the silly attempt at a story of #12No, she was annoying PERIOD! as you say Victorio. We ain't gonna agree on that one!Uh, I am not sure what you found funny about that, but generally #14 was not the best. But I agree, I did like Jeanette's scene, even if it's a real filler number - one of the things that I dislike about some of Clark's movies is his use of older or substandard scenes to pad out the tapes (evident on Euro Angels in the teens & early 20s)Give it a rental, or whatever. It's a delight. Ask Speelie if you don't trust me!That and 10 are the only ones I do not own, so I can't comment. But Victorio, I think you need to do a little more than just judge a book by its cover. I can't see where you are drawing such a big distinction between these movies, based on covers alone!It's pretty good, and very HC with excellent talent. Generally, regarding Euro Angels v Hardball, they started off differently, but through the teens of Angels, it frequently became difficult to tell the series apart. There are often scenes that could appear in either, as I mentioned already, that come across as filler material. [Link] |
