Wodgers Member 414 Posts 7/04	Posted - May 5 2006 : 9:06AM I find it difficult to find the original (language) version of a film for euro porn, it's very common to find Italian films dubbed in German or vice-versa etc.. Can someone tell me which company suits best for a given series or director? For instance, what's the best dvd version for Salieri stuff (assuming an "original" version with live sound is available). I'd like to expand my knowledge of modern (mainly 90's) euro porn, whatever the style (Salieri, Dino, Damiano, Pontello etc..) but would hate to get a dubbed version. I've seen enough 70's and 80's french productions that were actually dubbed in french to know that the indication "language : german" for a german Feature dvd is no guarantee of live sound. If you click on 'Where To Shop' one of the sites is Orgazmik. I think they are based in Switzerland but they have a distribution center in the US. Your Choice seems to be a Dutch site so that might be another place to take a peek at. Otherwise, you'd have to purchase from Euro sites and the taxation over there is brutal and you'd be paying much more than you would here. There are at least a dozen pretty good Euro-based porn distributors, but I wouldn't bother if I was in your shoes. You'd have to make inquiries to see what language the video's are in. [Link]
Gabriel Nine Senior Member Firecracker 1273 Posts 8/01	Posted - May 5 2006 : 1:11PM That's a tricky one - many movies (such as Salieri's) are dubbed even in the original Italian version because they may use multi-national casts who don't actually speak the language of the production. I think also the actual discs sold by Goldlight in Germany and Salieri's company in Italy are the same, with dubbed Italian, German etc soundtracks. Most Pontello movies I've ever seen are dubbed. You're actually looking for some indication of "original sound" such as O-ton marked on German movies. [Link]

American Evil Angel's disribution of them is better then the original I must say [Link]

I read an interview with Jessica Harper when she talked about the shooting of Suspiria. In one scene she was talking with this old man that only spoke german and she just had to say her lines and hope they were delivered in the right place. Many of Dario Argentos movies have this strange mix of dubbing and original sound. [Link]
