Since I was asking how it is in the UK. Are any adult films made in the UK? Is there such a thing as a British pornstar? Other than the few working in America. Is there any of this stuff on DVD? I've heard of French, Dutch, but English? Do they still make porn in the rest of Europe i.e. Sweden?
Hi! I'm in Germany and there is a porn industry here. Sex is a lot more mainstream here - surprisingly so. Almoste every town has an "Erotik Messe" each year. That's a small sex show with strippers, porn stars, novelties & art. Bigger cities have bigger shows obviously. I was able to meet a German star a few months ago. Unfortunately, her name escapes me at the moment. One of the most interesting things that I find over here is that on regular late night television, they play edited porn movies. American movies dubbed in German. It's very funny... You would think that they would play their own movies too. I remember watching dubbed european porn movies in the 80's on Showtime.... Some sort of curious swap, don't you think? There is also a game show called Strip. Regular people answer questions about sex (two teams of three players) - like they show a scene from an American adult film and they buzz in to name the title - and every third question is a 'Strip'. A stripper comes out and strips to nothing. Usually in an hour you'll see 5 girls and 2 guys. At the end of the show, each member of the winning team gets a prize and on the losing team only one person gets a prize - the one willing to strip to nothing. The show is very funny - and a bit shocking for regular TV. Enough babbling for me... I hope that you were entertained though. Trixie

The book Babylon Blue includes a whole chapter on the meager British porn industry. It focuses on Lindsay Honey (AKA Ben Dover), Mike Freeman, John Lindsay, David Sullivan, and gives short evaluations of the work of, or just drops the names of, a couple of dozen other Brit. pornographers. nruddock: Private has had a few British folk in their productions over the years. And, of course, several stars in American porn hail from the UK (which you already mentioned), including Nici Sterling, Sabrina Johnson, Roxanne Hall, and Mark Davis. But one of the most popular Brits is Producer/Director/Star Steve Perry, aka Ben Dover. He's made quite a few gonzo videos that have been shot in the UK with local talent. His videos are not produced for the UK market (in fact, there's a disclaimer at the beginning of his videos that specifically says that it was not produced for distribution in the UK, although I'm sure quite a few tapes make it back to the Isles). In fact, Perry spent some time in jail for his porn production in the past. Along with Seymore Butts, Ben Dover was one of early pioneers in the gonzo genre. He also has a way of finding some pretty darn amazing new girls. I find it interesting that he imports most of his male talent though from the States and mainland Europe. nruddock: Yes, in fact, I thought Deathtripping was one of Creation's better titles. Very entertaining interview with Lung Leg in that book, in spite of all her schizo PTV inspired word games.
It's just a fun intermission. Sometimes they have the men and women strip together and they do a little dry humping show. I have yet to see two women at the same time, but I'm sure that it's just around the corner.
