In today's Internet age it's just financially impossible to subscribe to more than 5 sites for me. I was very thankful for brazzers porn portal which has saved me money. Now I do brazzers plus reality kings for newbies. Digital playground for features, Jules Jordan for ir and bangbros for Miami only chicks. Still I know I'm gonna miss scenes from naughty America, ea,reality junkies, etc. anyone ever figure out how to capture all the scenes of their favorites?
Back around 2006 or 2007, I decided that I wouldn't buy any porn DVDs anymore because they take up so much room, so I subscribed to the New Sensations website as well as Videoboxxx. I downloaded about 250 gigabytes of porn from these sites onto an external hard drive. To this day, I still haven't watched all of the movies I downloaded, so I can't really get angry that I can't own more porn when I already own a bunch that I've never had the chance to watch. It's possible if you don't need to grab everything at the moment it's released. Just rotate your subscriptions. Subscribe to 3 sites (or whatever number works for you) this month, a different 3 sites the next month, a still different 3 sites the next month, then return to the first 3 sites on the 4th month. By this method, you can have 9 sites for the price of 3.
Ok for Kink.com I wait until I got a good deal offer from them (e.g. 2-for-1 site access) then pay for a limited time subscription (I don't keep it forever). Then I log in and scan list of female performers who did scenes for them. I make a list of female stars I like and list them in order or priority (i.e. which stars' scenes do I want the most). For example, Bobbi Starr would be at top of my list and unknown star that looked good might be at the bottom. Then I go down the list searching for those stars' scenes creating another prioritized list of scenes to download. Then using that scene priority list I just load up my download manager program (e.g. IDM) to login and download those scenes automatically while I am at work, watching TV, or sleeping. I might do 20 at a time. Eventually you build up a collection containing most of the scenes you really want. You can watch them later and delete ones you don't want to keep. You continue doing this in spurts over the duration of your subscription time. You can also browse thru scenes to add ones to the list you may have missed. The key thing here is I don't waste my subscription time streaming or watching lot of videos. I download a bunch and watch videos later offline. It's not rocket science.
I've said it in two or three other threads, but the companies need to get together and offer aggregation, so people can easily buy single scenes for a reasonable price. The tubesites are offering this already. Unfortunately, the gorilla in the room is the biggest network of tubesites which also owns the biggest network of paysites. By preventing their content from being accessible on tube sites, Manwin forces customers into Manwin paysites, while undermining their competition by offering their content for free. So Manwin cannot be expected to put their content on a high quality pay-for-aggregation service, but if the other companies worked together they could compete with Manwin.
I can't say that it does because I have 2 TB worth of porn on my external HD but I do have one thing that makes me angry (actually makes me sad and angry) and it's that I used to own some amazing porn movies on VHS that I thru out and now cannot find anywhere.
If there's one emotion I can categorically state that I've never felt it's anger at not owning more porn. If I were to start watching, say, two movies a day from the unwatched part of my collection - and never buy anything else in the meantime - it'd probably take me a good number of years to get through it all. Perhaps a better question to ask would be: why do porn fans continually acquire more stuff than they know they'll ever watch? I'm as guilty as anyone of this practice and I still can't rationalise it. Is there anyone out there who can actually reign in their consumption, and how do you do it? On the subject of porn sites, I don't get why they allow you to join up for a month, download shedloads of stuff (which is what people obviously do - myself included), then cancel. Why don't they just offer streaming, so you can only view the content as long as you're a subscriber? That way, if you like 'em you're gonna keep coming back. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining; I just don't understand it.
For a while I was trying to rent or buy every dvd by my favorite studios, until I realized I was paying money to check titles off a list instead of what I wanted to watch. Some of those studios are past their prime and churn out garbage now, which I would have noticed sooner if I was more interested in the videos.

i dont want to watch stream videos even for free,forget about paying for them. when i watch a scene then i usually jump back and forth to my favorite parts many times.in case of streaming it takes some time to start at each skip.it totally kills my boner.
No, I already cannot possibly watch all that I have , but I do get ungry when I discard a cheap DVD I though I had but I rented so I don't have , recently this happened with Pay Me in Cum with Ashlyn Rae , I had the chance twice in 4 days then just out of curiosity I wanted to watch at it and found out it was in the list of those I rented and didn't buy but I wanted to when available , I was waiting four years for it , and when I had I discarded it. Worse for Please 3 it has been available for 2 weeks at my store , but there was Bunny Luv on the cover , the very same picture used for a compilation I have so I thought I already had it , then I verify and Please 3 was in my most wanted list , so I went back to pick it up, but just that day someone bought it minutes before me. On Demand is where it's at. I have a membership at Kink.com where I just pick up the scenes that I like on the spot for a fee. I also do that here thru Adult DVD Talk On Demand with the DRM downloads. I have a few "life-time" rentals that I stream but as someone posted earlier it's difficult to skip around the scenes with out running into buffering. As for my collection... It's massive. I get "angry" that I don't have enough time to watch every scene or DVD I own. I recently started reviewing so I kind of have to sift through my catalogue.
Anyone agree with me that after so long the collecting side of a porn habit seems to supersede the actual viewing side? I probably spend more time on here (ADT) nowadays, commenting on porn rather than actually watching it.
The main reason why sites allow paying members the ability to download all of their content for a monthly fee as opposed to offering streaming only videos is that the vast majority of people would not join a site if they couldn't keep the stuff on their hard drive. People have become so cheap that they use tube sites to stream porn that they could have gotten by joining a site like VB. That's rather telling when you consider that you can get a membership to VB for only 12$. Another reason is that once you have that file then you can do anything you want with it and you can also play it anywhere you like as opposed to being limited to any location that has access to the net. Then there's the problem with streaming video where the player is faster than the upload of data and you get stuttering or a black screen. I'd also like to add that it's getting more and more common for ISP to limit the amount of content you can upload/download so having to always stream you stuff would mean that you could reach that quota a lot faster than if you were only playing stuff that was already on your drive.
Is it possible that you are confusing collecting with accumulating? The reason I say that is because I have a 2 TB external drive full of porn but I'm considered a small time collector when compared to some others because they have nearly 3 to 4 times more stuff than I do. I have joined so many sites in the last 7 plus years that I should easily have 6 TB worth of porn but I am a frugal collector. I don't join sites and then download their entire library of porn but actually pick and choose. Even after I've done that then I will still go through my drive and do a clean up by deleting certain files. Many of the people I interact with seem to have a different approach because they join an site and systematically download all of their content.
I believe they used to offer streaming only and the problem was customer complaints about bandwidth and reliability. And that was before they offered full HD quality video!! Customers would rather download a file once and play it multiple times on their own system and they don't like DRM. These companies are offering download because it evolved over time to satisfy their customers. Let's not forget that this strategy is still a LOT more profitable than producing and distributing DVDs. These guys are making money!!! IMHO streaming sucks its not reliable, you cannot rewind easily, it stalls too much, etc. Add to this the fact that internet providers have now placed bandwidth usage limits on your accounts. And it could get worse because recently they had a big judgement against net traffic nuetrality reverse so they can potentially start charging you more for streaming traffic or put more usage limits on it.
This thread should really be "Do you get frustrated that there is so much porn produced you cannot possibly get watch all the movies you might want to see".
i'm sometimes jealous that i can't touch the beautiful ladies i see on the screen but i'm not really that i can't owe more porn because most porn is shot in the same way, fetish or vanilla and it get's too repetitive to be upset.
Do they still do broadband packages with usage restrictions? Seems every provider at the moment is offering 'unlimited' - and who in their right mind would choose to be capped nowadays, with the abundance of VOD services available? Regarding porno sites, if they can allow people to join up for peanuts, download (and keep) to their hearts content and still make money, more power to 'em. It's a win-win for the customer, that's for sure. The problem (if you can call it that) is that sites are like an 'all-you-can-eat' buffet. There's literally so much content that being selective is still incredibly difficult. I recently joined my first site and ended up downloading 142 SD videos (almost 40gb) - and that was being selective. It's not hard to see how people can rack up terabytes of the stuff.
I watch more porn than I do mainstream films or boring ass TV shows. I'm still back logged but again this isn't something to be upset about in the slightest. The sheer amount of porn available at our fingertips is breath taking. Not only is it the majority of what makes up the internet but it is slowly seeping its way into pop-culture.

I don't know if you see it the same way I do but the biggest reason why I used to love searching for porn was because it was worth finding. I can se why someone would say that it's just a swipe away because you will swipe it off your drive just as fast as you did swiping it on. Let's be honest. Finding porn is super easy and finding decent porn is just as easy but it's now next to impossible to find great porn. We have lost the awe inspiring porn that was common a decade or more ago.

I had more than I could possible watch stored all kinds of ways -- two external drives (a 1 TB and a 2 TB), innumerable DVD's -- from every major site. I just got rid of it. I determined a wile back that I was starting to not enjoy it. Now, I just follow a handful of favorite girls. If one catches my eye, I check her out. Much happier.
my only wish would be for more porn sites out there to give us the option of purchasing only the scenes that we want without having to sign up for a membership (well, at least that's the only wish I can think of right now that relates to this topic)
I do get angry sometimes. But then I will realise that the amount of porn I collected and deleted without watching is too high. So I am ok with that. And about the sheer number of studios, luckily we have a group among my former collegemates who are avid porn fans. Together we have subscriptions to a reasonably large number of sites. And I could get almost anything I want without paying for more that 2/3 sites at a time. These days I mostly concentrate on stars and collect anything with them. Coincidentally most of my fav performers happen to be spiegler girls.

Surely there's no need to delete anything when you have external drives capable of storing terabytes of the stuff? I know I probably won't ever get around to watching most of my collection but I like to still have the option.

^ Probably not that much compared to some people. I have what I estimate to be around 3000 physical DVDs but have only discovered downloads relatively recently. I definitely have less than 500gb of downloads (that's still a few hundred SD videos) but I've also recently started joining porn sites - something I never used to do, hence my large DVD hoard - so I expect my collection to skyrocket in the future.
I could have rented more and bought less. As I watch old dvds, I realize many scripts that set up the sex scenes are pure horseshit. Having great sex scenes on a disc is not good enough anymore if space is wasted on crap I don't want to watch. The trash can is three feet away, and better porn is available with a few clicks.
