ASIDE: Bella Donna is kicking ass and taking names!!! She might well be the perfect porn star. Perfect ass, perfect real tits, deep throats, and does fantastic anal.I haven't felt this strong about a female performer since Sandy, Kelly Stafford, and the other woman in Sandy Insatiable.

I'm looking at the DVD for Ass Worship 2. This is some premium quality shit if I've ever seen it. And believe me, as my name implies, I've seen some really good shit. Jules is on top of his game.

This thought came to mind and I wanted to put it out there for comment. With EA DVD's being so far above the ordinary, will the goodwill they generate from such high quality be enough to justify all the work that goes into it? Or will they have to increase the price to offset the expense? Will we be willing to pay premium price for the premium quality we receive?

Tricia has posted elsewhere on this site about all the work that goes into these DVDs. Redlight, Anabolic, Extreme, nor WCP invests this amount of time and energy into their DVDs. I assume EA is a very profitable enterprise and they didn't get that way by making short sighted decisions. That said, could there be a plan in place to increase the prices for their DVDs once we've gotten hooked on the quality(You got a dime bag to go with that DVD? ), or are market forces such that a price increase would be out of the question? If the latter, then will they have to curtail their investment in DVD labor at some point?

We've all watched enough porn to know that 95-99% of what you see on the shelves (If you know quality) is bullshit. Most producers are just trying to get your dollars and dash for the border before you realize what garbage they've made. There is no question that EA is different, but money talks and bullshit walks.

I know, I know I think too much, but let me know what you think anyway.

I agree that Evil Angel DVDs are an extremely good value for the price.

When I'm making a purchasing decision, I read all available reviews and try to make an educated guess concerning how many times I'm likely to watch the DVD. If it's a $20 purchase, I need to be confident that I'll want to want to view some of the movie's scenes at least four times. Otherwise, it's more cost effective to simply rent the title. (I also give some consideration to the convenience of having the DVD easily accessible on my shelf.)

For certain Evil Angel titles, I'd be willing to pay a bit more because the replay value is so high. I always favor quality over quantity.

From RoccoFan:
As most of you are already aware, Evil Angel DVDs do indeed cost a little more than the typical West Coast, Anabolic, etc... DVDs. But from your post, it sounds like you believe that our DVDs are definitely worth the extra couple of dollars. We have ALREADY taken into account the high quality of the actual movie content, along with the cost of the work that goes into our packaging and making of the DVD, which has been reflected in the retail prices.

Evil Angel has never been a company that would try to trick the people who give us our livelihood (the customers), and that's not about to change.

Interesting thoughts though... Has anyone ever asked you if you're paranoid?

Tricia it is obvious that EA dvds cost a little more than the usual xxx dvd, but it shows how much money & time you put into your dvds. I just got Please #4 today and tomorrow I will get Ass Worship #2 and I hope the great work keeps going.

The trick with Evil Angel is that they don't discount their product to the extent that other producers do. So distributors pay more for it, and this is passed along to the customer. This is all possible because the product is good and in high demand.
I don't say the above as criticism, I have no problem paying the prices that are asked, since the care and effort on the DVDs is obvious. What this points out more than anything is that many other producers DO have cut into their profits in order to attain wider distribution. Check out any DVD retailer, and you'll see DVDs from most companies available cheap, and often on sale. But Evil Angel sales are rare and precious!

Another thing I love about EVIL ANGEL is the fact they don't go and release so many different DVDs a month. They usually release one to two titles from a director each month. Which I think is great way of doing things, because they don't flood the market with so many DVDs to buy.

This means that we the consumers have plenty of time to buy the titles we want without having to worry about going broke or missing a title.

Unlike so many studios which release so many DVDs a month, Evil Angel takes the time to make sure that everyone gets a chance to buy the DVDs they want.

But I guess quality is always better than quantity, so EVIL ANGEL, keep up the great work, and I will keep buying.

(My only question is, when are the Butt Rows coming out and the Fashion Sluts? The new Joey stuff is great, but I wanna see his early stuff too. Since at the time most of these films were released I wasn't old enuff to buy em.)

EA DVDs are fine as is as far as the prices. Though many titles are worth $30. As said before, not many discounts on EA DVDs everywhere, though. I was in porno-heaven when Five Star started selling them for $20 each. So, I bought 6 EA DVDs for the month of February!

From RoccoFan:
Evil Angel DOES get something extra out of the extra work that a consistently high quality product requites. REPEAT CUSTOMERS!!!!

Nobody buys Evil Angel DVD's and then thinks "Boy did I get ripped off". I can't recall a single thread bitching about Evil Angel. I don't think that can be said about many manufacturers.

Tricia's presence here may have a littlt to do with that, but only a very little. People around here are not very shy about letting everybody know when they are pissed off about something (I'm no exception).

There are a lot of companies who are in business for the quick buck. Evil Angel has never done anything to give that impression. They are in it for the long haul.

It's a shame that more companies don't learn from the example that EA has set.

Bill, I have a longer memory than you. There were some threads bitching about EA-mostly due to a player incompatibility with Toshiba but also due to some cuts made (under age performer). That said, I think most of us agree that they are a premium company with premium product.

They have the best Gonzo lines in the industry, bar none. I prefer Features and I still like EA's various lines. The recent sales have encouraged me to buy several titles for review-although I ration them out because I'd get jaded otherwise. I wouldn't buy them if they started costing $30+ each but then it's not gay porn either.
