If he doesn't then how exactly can anyone believe that he has changed. He is already blacklisted by multiple studios and is on the "No" list of many performers. Recognizing that his actions in the past crossed the line with many performers would vindicate his accusers and might open the door for some kind of forgiveness by some people. As it stands most of us still think that he can and will do the same thing to current performers that he did in the past because he has no remorse. No one will prosecute Deen for past offenses even if he admits to wrong doing because they would lose in court. As I stated previously. It is very hard to win in assault cases because too often it's a she said he said scenario and even if you have both physical and other types of evidence. There is too often some kind of defense to counteract or explain the evidence. [Link]

But the performers coming out claiming he was too rough I do believe are probably valid(since there were so many even though some were paid off to speak) because he has shown signs of this on camera, so there is a level of proof there. So I do agree with the notion that he should have faced backlash and he did. Since he's shown good behavior since then I don't see why he should be blacklisted anymore, and I say that as a non-fan because I don't watch his scenes(or any male performer who brings too much attention to himself in scenes). That is why the witchhunt lost credibility to me and a lot of others, but like i said the accusations also came from active, credible people in the industry(not the ridiculous rape accusation though) so there was too much smoke for there not to be fire. It is possible to like someone and still find that person to be overrated. They are not mutually exclusive. I feel that way about some movies. Last year, I went to the theater to see the horror movie, Hereditary. So many people I know clamored about how great of a horror movie it was, but after seeing it, I didn't get what all the hype was about. While it was a good movie, it was overrated. I feel the same way about celebrities and entertainers. I like some songs by the Beatles, but I never got all the hype over them. Maybe if I had been alive when they first appeared on the scene, I would have gotten it. But then again, my grandparents were not Beatles fans either. While the Beatles were certainly talented, they were overrated. I feel the same way about restaurants. Some friends and I once went to eat at this place they wanted to go to just because it was a Michelin 3-star restuarant. While I liked the food, I remember also thinking to myself that I had been to much better restaurants in my life. Outside of being overpriced, I didn't get what all the fuss was about. It was a good restaurant, but it was overrated. I feel the same way about plays. There was a time when I all I kept hearing about was how great the play Hamilton was. Then I went to see it. It was a good play. I later mentioned seeing it to someone, and she became excited to talk about it since she absolutely loved the play. She seemed disappointed when I disagreed with her statement that it was the best musical ever. I had seen better musicals. While I did like the play and would probably see it again, it was overrated. And Yes, I feel the same way about some pornstars such as James Deen. My opinion of him being overrated was due to him constantly being given attention by the mainstream media, such as having a whole feature story about him in GQ Magazine, being cast to star in a Hollywood film with Lindsay Lohan, etc. While I always liked him, I failed to see what was so special about him to receive all the attention he was getting. What was he doing that every other male pornstar wasn't doing? There are a lot of male pornstars that I think are good. James Deen is among them, but I wouldn't say that he's any better than the other guys who are also good. In fact, I said all this already in the same thread that I posted the comment you quoted. It's there if you would like to see the actual context of the comment. Hence, I indeed found him overrated. And I indeed still always liked the guy.
