Steve: using Wicked and Vivid or New Machine in the same sentence is like saying Ed Powers is the same thing as John Stagliano (and we both know that isn't true).

While much of E.A.'s gonzo stuff is well done, no one is going to suggest it has as much mass appeal as most Wicked features. Each is a different niche and therefore not truly comparable.

HoustonDon: As for ass zits and other imperfections.....the search for perfection is futile. I know some models look as if they just escaped from a leper colony (See some of the pieces of work that Extreme gets for their Cocksmokers series). But non of the women in these titles come any where close to that. If I were to stress about imperfect females I'd be at serious danger of blurring the line between porn fantasy and human reality. Porn isn't about perfection, it's about fantasy. I can keep that straight...I hope you can also.

I am a huge fan of well-done porn, from Barely Legal to 70s classics to Private to my search for "The Perfect Toy-Free Lesbian Scene" to, yes, some Evil Angel including first and foremost Jules Jordan. I happen to think that a fine female behind is pretty much the pinnacle of earthly beauty, and I like the occasional "hard" scene involving serious anal and deep-throating, etc. (not slapping, choking, spitting, which is why I tried Rocco and decided I didn't like it). Although sometimes they go a little over the top, I think Flesh Hunter and Ass Worship 1 are excellent dvds that fulfill the slightly sluttier side of my erotic fantasies (Bella Donna is a perfect example-- I know some people find her unattractive, but I think she is VERY hot in a dirty-girl sort of way, and even actually cute in a weird way with her black hair and gap teeth).

Anyway, getting off subject. The point is that a lot of different people like a lot of different porn, and there is a place here at ADT for everyone. I don't know if there is a link between the type of porn people watch and the way they express their opinions, but it seems like all of the extreme fans here post as if they are porn apostles and the rest of us are the unwashed masses waiting for enlightenment. Steve, I suppose I misunderstood your tone since it sure seemed like you were being dismissive of Wicked, in particular, on a regular basis. I think your comments about it being "run of the mill" proves my point. I'm cool with the concept of different strokes for different folks, are you? Wicked seems to spend a lot more time than pretty much any other company with their dvd releases-bar none. They sometimes stumble, and I point it out in my reviews, but overall, their finished product is superior.

Magus, I agree with your porn apostle comments-especially lately they seem to be pushing it too. It makes me react about the same way as when Jahova's Witnesses come knocking on my door...

That, my friend, is an example of hyperbole. And the point of my post was that many members here lay out cogent arguments-- or at least interesting opinions backed up by some sort of clear reasoning or good humor-- while others fling handfuls of shit against the wall and see what sticks. By and large, the shit-flingers seem to be fans of EXTREME-ly hardcore flicks, and their flinging seems to come from oddly 'holier than thou' pedestals considering the content they are championing.

This is NOT saying that there is anything wrong with liking that stuff-- I found my line, you are welcome to find yours. Just stop implying that those who do not share your tastes 'don't get it' somehow. BTW, I would gladly vote for Bella Donna for Performer of the 1st Quarter, 2002.

I'll definitely check out Jules titles in the future that suit my tastes. The Lex the Impaler titles (including cast of LTI #2) sound good to me.
