Sorry if this is not the right forum to post in...but I did a "$4.95" trial today with a site that gives you "access to 40 supersites including Kara adult playground". I discovered its the worst thing ever but the thing is that I never got any kind of email receipt. I just went to cancel it through zbill and instead of giving a sub number or whatever you apparantly have to EMAIL them and ask for a cancle...but as presumed they still have not and am worried about it going past the trial and into the expensive $30 bracket.
On the pay menu it also said $0.00 for 1 day, so maybe tomorrow it will ask if I want to go ahead. Any help anyone??
Pay sites, tsk...never again!

I don't know if this is the right spot either, but you live, you learn. I had a similar incident, but with another, which shall remain nameless, company. Bad experiences. So whenever I see a paysite, I skip over it, unless it's a porn studio that posts release schedules... then I just look at that.

Maximus,

I've had experiences like yours. The first thing I would say is that not all pay sites are like that, so don't be too quick to judge them all because of one bad experience.

The first thing you should do is try to find the phone number of the company that billed you. If you have online access to your credit card statement you might be able to get this, because they will likely post a phone number with the charge. Second thing, do NOT attempt to log back into the site after your initial trial period expires. You will have no cause for argument with the billing company if you try to access the site after the trial period has ellapsed. They will make the case that you wanted to continue access.

Beyond that, keep plugging away at them. If you can show that you earnestly attempted to stop rebilling you can make a damn good case for your credit card company to refuse their rebilling charge. Let us know how it goes.

Again, there are number of fine and upstanding paysites out there, you just have to be careful about how they represent themselves, and read their terms of service and privacy statements VERY carefully before hitting that submit button.

about 16 hours in now and still no reply from them, something else which is they that the telephone number is on the statement which I still do not have. Maybe because its not been 24 hours yet?, so weird!

Not all paysites are like that of course but I have noticed these trial memberships can be a pain in the ass to cancel. I also shy away from companies who are using unknown billing companies because I don't trust them.
