These wouldn't necessarily be DVD-Rs, as Excalibur digitally formats these titles. So, although on a small scale, these are manufactured discs. However, these manufactured discs, as far as my experience with Excalibur goes, should be considered VCDs rather than DVDs (i.e., the don't have interactive menus with special features and scene selections options). Although I have not bought any of your listed comps, I did buy the 80s classic "Bedrooms and Boardrooms" from them, which they themselves manufactured. All in all, they do a pretty good job. You can assume that any movie that is only carried by Excalibur will be a DVD-R and you can assume that the quality will be that of VHS.

That having been said, beggers can't be choosers. When Excalibur has DVD's that I want and can't get elsewhere, I've bought those movies from Excalibur. If they subsequently are released by the original company on DVD, I will buy them again. But for now, I own movies that I wouldn't otherwise own if it weren't for Excalibur.
