The other key word-fragment in SueR's novel, compound terms for polar types of orgasms is the one following both "exo" and "endo" -- that is, "thermic", which refers to heat or energy. I believe SueR is saying that when she has an "exo-thermic" orgasm, it feels as if energy has been expelled from her body, leaving her in a weakened, sleepy state of being; whereas when she has an "endo-thermic" orgasm, it feels as if energy has been drawn into her body, leaving her in an active, alert state of being. If I've misunderstood you, SueR, please let me know. My own experience is that, if I have an orgasm at a time when I'm generally stressed out, the orgasm tends to be exothermic and the release of energy in the form of tension leaves me feeling drained and tired, as well as relaxed. On the other hand, if the orgasm comes at a time when I'm already feeling relaxed and vigorous (and especially when I'm having sex with my wife and feeling connected to her, as opposed to when I'm masturbating by myself) then it tends to be endothermic; after a relatively brief, refractory period when I'm in an oceanic state of mind, my vigor returns yet is "refined" in the sense that, not only do I still feel active, but I also feel more aware and centered.
