| Pocari New Member Canada 4 Posts 2/02 | Over the last number of months, I placed orders with 3 Canadian sites: http://www.videocanada.com http://www.adultdvdboxoffice.com http://www.sensualflixxx.com SensualFlixxx - Limited selection, but what was ordered was stocked and arrived in less than a week. No problems. The way it should be. VideoCanada - Delivery service was excellent. About 4 days and everything was in stock. But, I mis-ordered on one item, knew it before it was received and asked what I should do. I was told to return the disk unopened and given an address. I did so, with traceable shipment, but although it was received, VC claims it was not. I am out one disk and its cost. They carry some titles (Marc Dorcel) that are not available elsewhere, so I would go back if the missing disk was ever straightened out. (A bunch of sites based on Canada seem to be agents for VC. You can generally tell because the billing info listed on each site is the same - "Club Video 29 Cents". Prices can vary site to site.) AdultDVDBoxOffice - There is no connection between their listing of titles and what is in stock. You can wait anywhere from 1 week to over 2 months. Prices at each of these sites were basically the same. Why most Canadian sites cannot give you an indication of stock levels, I do not understand. DV-Depot does show stock, but you pay about 25-50% more for their titles. (I have not used them, so cannot comment on service.) Edited by - Pocari on Feb 7 2002 [Link] |

It is not that difficult to post stock levels, so I figure not doing it means the seller does not want to lose sales by posting that they have no stock. The problem is not limited to porn sites. Other Canadian e-tailers do not or cannot stock reasonable levels and they have lost sales to Amazon at least in my case. |

I've had a few problems with ADVDBO listing titles on their site when you don't know if it's in stock or not, very frustrating when you find out that you have to wait a couple of months for a dvd that you expected to get in a couple of weeks. |
