I would submit that you probably won't find one. I know that's not very productive, and I'll admit to having liked several Extreme Associates video releases (Vengeance and other Louis Cypher titles, some of the Extreme Teen's, a few--but not many--of Tom Byron's releases, and others), but I've not seen one DVD by them that I would consider good unless you don't mind horrific sound, shoddy and downright annoying authoring, and sub-standard picture quality.
Maybe some others know of some good DVD's they've produced, I'm not experienced enough with them to say definitively that they aren't out there, but I have no first hand experience with such a thing.
Hi Nyguy, while I happen to like alot of Extreme's stuff they have been very erratic when it comes to the quality of certain DVD releases as MLyons just mentioned. But they have made a few excellent titles nonethless, those being the Whack Attack and Lord Of Asses series from Tom Byron. I also like some of the Extreme Teen series, especially the early ones that were made with Luciano aka Michael Stefano. Just do a review search here at ADT for any of these and see what others have to say about them and best of luck!
Nyguy, good porn is very subjective so 'what's a good Extreme DVD' is a loaded question. MLyons is pretty spot on in terms of the relative production quality of Extreme DVD's; though as Asmodeus suggests, the quality varies greatly amongst their DVD releases.
From a 'what's hot' perspective, as opposed to what's produced well, I would recommend Whack Attack as well. However, since I have no idea what your tastes are, you might want to consider renting before buying.
agreed. I picked up a couple of Tom Byron's Whack Attack DVDs and they were among some of the worst quality discs I have ever purchased. Once I get burned like that I just stay away. Byron was on these boards a couple of months ago and was asked pretty directly about when the quality of the discs were going to improve, as he had admitted that Extreme DVDs were crap and he was in charge of improving them and we have yet to hear a word from him.
Yeah, extreme is not exactly your "model" company when it comes to production. What did they get when they made the dvds; Some sort of discount that comes with a rack of beef?
One suspects that they got their DVD authoring suite on the cheap and their editor even cheaper. I can see it now: "Wanted, DVD authoring intern willing to work long hours for drugs and pizza. Must be a WWF fan."
I rented Exteme Associates latest dvd release Anal Asspirations #2, it's an older movie but just released on dvd. The good news is that the menu looks fine and the picture quality is great, the bad news is that when you get to the fourth scene the screen freezes up and you can't watch any of scene, I tried everything to get this scene to play but to no avail, the fifth scene is also problematic and cannot be viewed in it's entirety, I think the layer change takes place at the beginning of scene 4 and that's when the freezing up occurs. This is yet another really good porn ruined by the Extreme Associates dvd department. Last week I went to Extreme's web site just to see what's happening there lately and actualy found an e-mail address. I mailed them and told them how everyone knows Extreme makes the worst dvd's and that it's a shame that they can't put out watchable discs of their really good porn when they used to actualy make good porn. I pulled no punches in telling them their dvd's suck wet dogs fur. I got a response the same day from someone named Marc who told me that they fired everyone in the dvd department that was responsible for their discs and have hired new people. He also said he would forward my e-mail to the owner (Rob Black). The very next day I rent Anal Asspirations #2 and find the same old problems, freezing and the inability to watch an entire movie due to technical problems. I'm wondering if I should even bother e-mailing them to let them know about my disappointment in their latest release. Will it even make a difference? I told them they should re-release Ass Clowns #1 with decent video quality and that they should also re-release Asswoman The Rebirth because of the freezing and unwatchability of almost half of that movie. Also to put out In The Days Of Whore that can actually be watched all the way through.
I just watched Extreme's Extreme Gang Bang 7. Not impressed with the quality at all. What really spoils the movie though is the flickering picture at the top of the screen, present in both gang bangs but really ruining the second one. tried it on dvd rom & 2 players). My first & last dvd from this company :(
That flickering is also present in the Asswoman The Rebirth dvd. Maybe it's a flaw in the master tapes. They may not storing them properly and they are ending up getting damaged over time, who knows or cares anymore. I have to wonder what on earth the people at Extreme are thinking when they release dvd's that can't even be watched all the way through, what a waste of some good porn they used to make over there.
Let me clarify my position. I have some Extreme Associates DVD's which I am happy enough with. I am happy with them because of the girls and action in them, not because of the quality of the DVD production.
Don't let perfect get in the way of good enough, but don't buy if you know that production defects will prevent you from enjoying the action. Again, I urge you to rent rather than buy if you think the action looks worth checking out. If you like it, that's great, you can purchase it; if not, what's a few bucks spent in pursuit of pleasure?
I didn't see Thomas Zupko's Abyss mentioned anywhere in this thread. While I can't speak for the quality of the DVD, it was an excellent movie - I own it on VHS. The sets and costumes are beautiful, there are a couple of total knock-out babes in the cast (Gauge and Kristi Myst) and there's heaps of hot and nasty sex.
But I cried when Gauge got killed ... j/k.
It's worth checking out IMHO, Nyguy.

In the Gauge scene she's throat fucked until she pukes, four or five times, and it's kept in the movie - not edited out.
My recommendation would be to rent this title first, then if you like it you might buy it.

Being a huge Jessica Darlin fan, of course I am interested in the latest release of "Extremely YOurs Jessica Darlin." However if there is no audio except for some cheasy music I will just have to wait for other Jessica Darlin releases. I am waiting for some reviews of this title before I go out of my way to get it. Any comments would be appreciated.
D-M, trust me on this. You've GOT to get "Extremely Yours Jessica Darlin." I've had this title on VHS ever since it came out and it remains one of my all-time favorite Jessica Darlin movies. There is NO WAY that you would be disappointed. I don't remember any cheesy music on the VHS version. But you're crazy if you don't get "Extremely Yours Jessica Darlin" being such a big-time Jessica fan that you are. Jessica was in top form in this title (I've never seen her look and fuck better, before or since). Even if there was literally no audio on the DVD at all, you'd STILL be crazy not to buy it. If it turned out that the DVD was defective, you can always send it back for a replacement or a refund. Whether on VHS or DVD, no TRUE BLUE Jessica Darlin fan should be without "Extremely Yours Jessica Darlin." Get it D-M!

Thanks Pontus. You definately sold me. I can't wait for the new stuff coming out with Jessica. I couldn't be happier to hear that she is going to be in WOAD #2 with Jules. Heavy Metal 3 looks pretty awesome too. Two in the seat 3 could be great depending on the male talent. Im about to check out all about ass 12 and runaway butts 6. I have high hopes for both.
The Abyss dvd is terrible. First 2 scenes look good, then the picture quality really goes downhill the rest of the way. I don't know what they did to this movie, but they really managed to screw up the dvd in a major way. Much like they did with Asswoman The Rebirth.
Thanks for the warning, M.B.. This is one that I was considering getting on DVD. My VCR doesn't see much action these days, except for mainstream stuff, and I have been getting some of my favorite porn flicks that I already own on VHS on DVD and selling the tapes. I guess I'll hold on to my tape in this case.
It seems to me that if you purchase a product that is defective and you read on this board that other people have had the same problem, why would anybody but a crackhead or a shill for Extreme promote the product?

Its really sad that Extreme turned out to be cheap asses. If you spend more money making a quality product, more people will buy it, and then you will make more money to make better product and so on. Spend money to make money.
I'm already awake. Not all of Extreme Associate's DVDs are defective. EA produced many great movies during their heydey, including Extremely Yours Jessica Darlin. If that DVD turns out to be defective, it can always be sent back for a replacement or a refund. Promoting an Extreme Associates product doesn't necessarily make a person a "crackhead" or a "shill" for Extreme Associates. Several reviewers for ADT have written favorable reviews of DVDs produced by Extreme Associates.
Hardware. I can't beleive you put 'action' above 'dvd quality'...especially in the case of my title & the ones M.B complained about. Hope no one from Extreme Ass.. is reading, they might never learn. I guess no one expects a totally perfect dvd & I'm sure most people will know that older titles won't hold up to the newer stuff when it comes to picture/audio etc.. but there is absolutly no excuse for a shoddy release like Extreme Gang Bang 7 (or the ones M.B pointed out).
Renting one of their movies is fine where possible, & that's a good tip, but it's just not available here in the UK. I suppose another option would be to join a lending circle (as discussed a bit back somewhere?) might come accross a few that way.
I agree that the quality of some DVD's (and not just Extreme's) is so bad as to make them unwatchable. However, I have not found that to be the case with many of the Extreme DVD's that I've purchased. I appreciate that others have had bad experiences with Extreme, and I'm sure this is valuable information to nyguy. However, ultimately this isn't about what you like or I like, but what he likes. Warning him off Extreme in general when, in fact, he might find a DVD acceptable isn't doing him any favors, so, while I do appreciate your position, I stand by my comments.
PS - Insofar as how my posts might affect Extreme Associates, I don't give a rat's ass, as I know they aren't committed to their customers in the first place.
I was so excited to see Extreme Porno Bootcamp and all the sequals. I rented the VHS, and I dont know whose fault this was, but I could hardly watch the movie because it was all fuzzy. This may have been the stores fault, but man, this always seems to happen when Extreme is involved.
Bringing up this slightly aged topic to ask a question related to it. ;) I was thinking of buying the Big Fat F.N. Tits 5 Dvd, but I'm not so sure I'd still get it if it was a really poor transfer overall. Mostly want the Calli Cox scene that's in it. If anyone happens to have it and can tell me if the quality (sound, picture), is good, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
