That's what this site should be called. The minute anyone says anything positive about "vanilla" porn, they are derided as being too heterosexual. If porn is imploding in on itself, as I and others believe it is, it's precisely because gay/bizarre porn is being foisted on straight guys who simply want their porn to be relatively "normal." There is a major marketing disconnect going on here - like trying to sell diet Coke at a Chicago Bears game. It just doesn't make any sense.

I don't know what you're calling vanilla porn, but you mentioned vivid and wicked in another thread. We have a very pleasant feature side forum for discussing features.
Nobody is deriding anybody for "being too heterosexual." But there are unfortunately some aggressive posters who think their opinion is the shit.
Midtown, I understand what you're saying, but the way you present your opinion is only going to lead to confrontation rather than discussion. And your harping on the gay straight thing takes away from anything else you might be trying to say.
Midtown, you might enjoy Jonni Darkko's movies. They generally feature only 1 guy and 1 or 2 girls per scene. You don't usually see all that much of the guy beyond what is necessary, but the camera still manages to include the guy enough to make the chemistry with the girl palpable. The sequences are well-edited, nicely lit, and staged in rooms with very fine decor. Check out Bryan Xin's titles for Pulse. Van Styles shoots some friendly stuff, but you will still see deep throat BJs, black men, anal sex and spitting/dirty talk.
Did you ever meet a gonzo title you actually liked? And if so, what was it and what did you like?
You sound like maybe you should stick with strictly feature fare or maybe something like Andrew Blake.
Shane's World has some nice, easy-going stuff, too, like "Surfer Girls."

Andrew Blake makes garbage. Suze Randall makes far prettier porn without all the ridiculous Sprocketesque crap that Blake injects into his porn.

The problem is that your posts don't really sound positive. To me, they sound more negative towards the rougher stuff that a lot of people, like myself, enjoy.
I didn't really get it when I first started watching it years ago. It's when I started to realize that some women actually enjoy this stuff that I started to enjoy it myself. Now I'm hooked.
I believe that most women are naturally submissive. Some are just more extreme than others. Some like to push themselves and break down the barriers between women & men.
Variety is the spice of life and you shouldn't hold your own opinions above all others. If you can't, or are unwilling to understand that, stay out of the deep end.
Normal person response: There are a bunch of people here trying to help you find something you like. Responses like that don't really help.
Translation into Midtownese: Hey Jackass, if you'd take your head out of your ass once in a while things might not be so muffled and you might hear that people are trying to help you fit in here and find something you'd like.
If you'd like to keep talking in Midtownese, you might want to find a different board. As Steph said, "But there are unfortunately some aggressive posters who think their opinion is the shit.". If you don't like them treating you that way, then quit treating everybody else that way.

I'm not using obscenities. You're the one doing that. I'm also not looking for advice as to what movies to watch. I'm just pointing out the bizarre nature of many of these porn titles.
Midtown, a lot of older porn, features, and cable ready type porn does show a lot of man ass. That's because it wasn't designed 100% for men but for women or couples to watch too. It's not just men and gay men watching porn. It's also women.
I've watched enough porn to know where to look for a lot of the stuff and to know that a lot of the stuff I like doesn't exist yet. So you have to ask yourself what it is you like and does it exist? Is there a DVD out there with no man ass and no man balls touching? Yes, in a POV series. And from certain directors that people have pointed out here.
So you just got to figure out your tastes and take a positive approach to finding what it is you want. Everyone understands your frustration. Few guys will disagree that they don't want to see man ass in a shot either or as someone else here mentioned, the man blanket blocking the shot.
As far as extreme, there are a few guys on here who really like extreme rough sex occassionally or all the time. I like it ocassionally if done tastefully. Some want more Bukkake/pissing and stuff. I'm not into that but I respect their right to want to see it. How can you expect others to respect your right to see certain things happen if you don't respect theirs?
I know there are many here that don't like 100% nude scenes. I'm not saying all DVDs should have the girl wearing something. I've said that I wanted a separate DVD series where you are guaranteed they will be wearing something during the sex, like a clothing fetish/sex series. See that's compromise. Who can disagree to that? If you don't like it, you stay away from the series.
Just like I don't like Bukkake, I'm not going to buy or rent it. Talk with your dollars. As long as others buy that stuff, it's not going anywhere. Also you could write more reviews on what it is you really like. Then more people will buy it or rent it and it gets recognition.
I realized this years ago when I wrote a review on one of my all-time favorite DVDs [invalid URL removed]Anal POV #1 with Teagan in it. Why did I write the review? Because I really like dirty talk in porn, I really like it when the girls wear something in a scene, I really like good full body camera angles, I really like a bit of a plot, I really like changes in location during one scene (from stairs to bed or from a barchair to a bed), I really like girls dressed up pretty, I really like how the camera angles are held longer, etc.
So you have to figure out what it is you like and you tell people about it. What was hot in that DVD was the Teagan on the bed scene. She's laying on her back, it's an arial view and she's getting pounded and instead of leaning back and relaxing and just taking it, she pulls herself up by the bed sheets, pulling herself into it. That was erotic.
After I wrote that review, I think it did effect sales because now it's on most best seller lists. On rental sites it's ranked on the first page (top 10) in most categories it falls under. That year Teagan won a number of awards for best female performer.
I'm not saying it's all me, but someone has to get the word out. I'm not saying waste your time trashing titles you don't like. It's not worth the time. You are better off mentioning the titles you really did like so others will rent or buy them, so the stuff you like continues to get made.
The reason why extreme stuff is around is because guys who really like it, make sure others know they like it. And even if they don't like it, they come on here and say.."wow..did anyone see that shit!!" And then everyone else gets curious. Shock has always been a key marketing tool. Just watch the news. So if you want to create a buzz do it with your reviews and with your dollars like everyone else has been doing on here.
So I recommend writing a few reviews on what it is you like. Just an FYI, whenever you write a review, it doesn't just show up in a search here, it also shows up in a search on BushDVD, one of the largest adult dvd rental sites online.
Just for some proof on how big a review can be for a title, here is the link to the highest ranking Anal themed DVDs. As you notice [invalid URL removed]Anal POV #1 is currently #8 out of tons of Anal DVDs and out of everyone who's seen it, 34 people rated it higher than 4 1/2 stars out of 5 stars! And this movie isn't even hardcore anal. There are no double anal scenes in it. But people read the review and know what to expect going into it so it doesn't get trashed as much. So write an honest review and see what happens.
By the way in the POV category in general, [invalid URL removed]Anal POV #1 is ranked #1 out of all the POV titles out there being rented. That says either the review did help or I just have supreme taste cause I wrote that shit like 2 years ago!!! haha
lol @ Black Men being grouped together with psuedo rape
dont mean to attack you skronker or people that dont like watching black males in their porn..I just found that really funny...Like Black men are gimmicks used for strange pornographic entertainment

I think skronker is one of the nicest guys on here. Very smart and helpful and I don't think he meant it like that. I think he was referring to black guys typically having large dicks and there is an emphasis on the pain of the girl. Some guys may not like seeing a girl take in a 25 inch cock. LOL
Personally I am interested in seeing it happen. But I could see how that could be considered "extreme". I mean look at the titles with the words "Blackzilla" in them. That shit is hilarious. Anyways, carry on.
No, but one doesn't have to use profane langauge (or "obsenities" as you call them) to be snide, either.
You're beyond pointing our "bizarre nature", which again, is just an opinion. I see alot of dead, beaten horses on the forum trail with your byline. A heavy number of posters like the porn which you detest so much, so be it.
I'm pretty open-ended myself, I don't watch all that much "vanilla" porn, but I draw the line at "bodily waste", etc. You should leave a little more slack for your interests, IMO.
Rocco (above) makes some stellar points as well, better than I could have said it.
How is it that anal sex, deep throat BJ's (not face fucking) and spitting/dirty talk are considered rape?
A deprived, married friend whom I'd let borrow my porn occasionally often got a kick out of "Little White Chicks, Big Black Monster Dicks" series because of the demon-like groaning in the scenes, reflecting somehow that black dick was like being fucked by a heartless ogre & his club, I guess?

Still on the front page man, fair game. Besides, the topic is only 5 days old, not 5 years.
