I congratulated her on being the POTY. I asked what she's been up to lately and she said she's done some G/G scenes for Penthouse, some promo shoots too and feature dancing. She be appearing with Penthouse in Tampa later this month. Lexi also mentioned she be spending her birthday this August appearing on behalf of Penthouse at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. It's one of the largest biker gatherings in the country with over half a million people meeting in a small town of less than 7,000 people. For that weekend the city of Sturgis' population is more than double the entire state of south Dakota. Lexi has never been there or to any motorcycle rally before and is really excited to go. She recently had her first child with her fiancee Manuel Ferrara last January. Currently she is enjoying all the highs & lows of being a new parent. I complemented her about her her blog entry on her childbirth experience. She was very specific and spared no detail. I asked if she is ever going to finish college as she's been enrolled for years, and she replied that she would be getting a degree in psychology soon, she's just short the foreign language requirement. I picked up a copy a copy of "Raw 16" featuring her first anal scene in years. She added that she has another anal scene with Manuel for another of his movies series in the future, so keep an eye out. As for her future, Kayden hasn't decided yet. She directs about 8-10 movies a year for Wicked and performs in about half of them. I picked up a copy of one of her latest films, "Nothin' But Trouble". Been the usual with her. Directing movies an tending to her horses. Unfortunately, her show horse Bailey somehow severely injured his neck (not in a competition) and had to be retired. Stormy is currently in the process of determining exactly what is injury is and how to fix it. Always enjoyable to see Stormy Daniels. A very focused, driven, hard working lady in the business. It also meant she got to hang out next to Phoenix Marie for the rest of the night. They got along very well and it's surprising they never did more scenes together. They only one I know of is a B/G/G scene for Phoenix's former personal site My Sexy Life. Sad since they physically complement each sow well. Both very tall, one blond, on brunette, one thick & curvy, the other thin & slender. They balance each other out quite nicely. If Tori ever decides to start shooting again, she and Phoenix definitely need to film a few scenes together. [Link] |

Joanna made an interesting point about how social media is a double edge sword. In the age of Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube etc. pornstars are more accessible than ever. It's good in that it helps them promote their brand and connect with their fans base, but at the same time all that exposure can dilute the value. In the old days the only way to meet your favorite pornstar was to attend a convention or at a strip club where she was feature dancing. Now you don't even have to get off the sofa to talk with them on Twitter or Facebook. You can even have sex with them over the Internet by booking a cam show with them. Teagan's husband, Joshua added how just a couple years ago at these eXXXotica expos, when a girl would leave her table to go to the bathroom, they would have to sent a security guard or two with her because she would be mobbed by fans walking down the aisles. Nowadays the girls can walk by themselves freely around the show floor and while they may get a couple fans asking for a photo or autograph, for the most part they are left alone. The point being that the girls are so accessible now that people don't mob them like they used to because they have so many alternative ways to connect with them. The allure of meeting a pornstar is not as strong as it used to be. Even the lines to meet the girls, even the big names, is no where near what they used to be. At the 2009 NJ expo, the line to meet Tera Patrick was 2+ hours long. This year the most people at her table that I saw was maybe twelve tops. While the lines at the NJ show are usually longer than here in Florida, even they aren't as insanely long as they used to be. It was an interesting point that gave me pause to think about it.
