I finally got a chance to talk with Phoenix for a brief moment Sunday. The Bang Bros booth is always packed all day, everyday since they are one of the only companies to pay the girls be at the booth. So they were the only booth where the girls were signing autographs and taking pictures for free. The girls at the other booths don't get an appearance fee, so they have to make their money by selling merchandise. It's been the usual with Phoenix: working, shooting etc. I asked her how she is enjoying being a brunette and she said she has been getting a lot of positive feedback from fans. She will probably keep the brown for a little while but you never know, she could go back to blond, she's just playing it by ear. I asked her to sign a few DVD covers I had with me. She was having a very busy, but fun weekend. Signing all day at the show and even managing to shoot a scene or two somewhere in the middle of it all. I really can't say enough good things about Phoenix Marie. A terrific performer on-screen and off-screen, just one of the nicest girls you could ever meet. She enjoys doing these shows and meeting the fans more than almost any other girl out there. Without question, one the girls I most look forward to seeing at a show. [Link] |

A lot of people don't realize just how popular she is with porn fans. Her table was one of the busiest at the show. She drew the largest (and loudest) crowd Friday at Club Madonna. She did this on a night that also featured Tory Lane, Lexi Belle & Tori Black!! She was one of, if not the first pornstar to reach 100k followers on Twitter. If you read her Twitter, you'll see that in addition to shooting scenes, she is constantly on the road traveling to feature dance and do store signings. Just because she doesn't do IR or gangbangs and only does anal on rare occasions, doesn't make her a bad pornstar. Amazingly, I found Belladonna at her booth packing up. I tried to see her earlier but she stopped signing at 5pm so she could get ready for a her aerial silk performance at 6pm. I wanted to see her silk show but every time I looked over at the stage, her silk was tied off to the side. I asked Bella what happened to her show and she replied that she indeed did it. Being it was only 5 minutes long, it was easy for me to miss it. I thanked her for coming all the way to Miami to appear and do her aerial silk performance. I also complimented her on another great feature show at Club Madonna the night before. I asked if I could get a quick photo of her in today's outfit. As you can see, she had all ready ditched her high heels and was walking around in her socks, so she hopped up on the chair for the picture. I wished her a safe trip home and told her I hoped to see her again at the New Jersey show this fall. I'm so grateful to have met Belladonna and been able to see her at multiple appearances over the last couple months. She's an amazing person, who just radiates positive energy. These threads do take a lot of time and energy to do, but knowing how much you guys appreciate seeing photos from the show makes it all worth while. These threads are like my own digital scrapbook of memories from the shows. This year's eXXXotica Miami show was a lot of fun. Seeing all the girls, from familiar faces to brand new ones. Stage shows like Cirque de Bella, Stoya's ring acrobatics, and Rubberdoll. The Pornstar Q&A panels provided much comedic fodder as they always do. I thoroughly enjoy attending these shows and always look forward to the next one. Friday night set a new record for attendance for a Friday. In a unusual twist, it actually got busier after 9pm. I swung by the front door and the line to get in was 50 people deep. Sunday was also the busiest I have ever seen it. Normally, the place is a ghost town on Sunday but it was still fairly crowded, all the way until closing. The biggest story of the weekend was that this was the last year the show will be held in Miami Beach. Next year the show will be moving to Fort Lauderdale. I personally believe this is a great move by eXXXotica. The show seems to have plateaued the last few years. It hasn't gotten any smaller but it doesn't seem to be growing very much either. Fort Lauderdale is more centrally located in the South Florida area. By holding the show here, they will attract more attendees from the Fort Lauderdale/Broward county area. It's only about twenty miles north of Miami, so it's still close to the Miami metro area. The biggest increase should be from Palm Beach county. It's about an 1 & 1/2 hour drive from West Palm Beach to Miami. Being in Fort Lauderdale will cut that drive time to about 1 hour or less. My biggest hope is that the new location will bring in a more blue collar, middle class crowd like the New Jersey show. South Beach is overflowing with hipsters & celebrity wannabes and the energy level at the Miami show is no where near what it is at the Jersey show. Overall, I think the move to Fort Lauderdale is a good thing for the show. It will allow eXXXotica to continue to grow and expand in the South Florida market. No matter what, I'm all ready anticipating attending next year's show right here in Fort Lauderdale. Thanks again for reading and for all the comments & feedback.
