The beach and nightlife would be the main draw for outsiders. The show itself reminded me of Erotica LA but smaller. Some girls were charging not just for photos with them but of them which took Bono by surprise. I'm not sure how successful the girls in general were business-wise since the consumers were reluctant to part with their money after paying an entry fee. I understand that the companies/girls need to make back their cost so I understand there must be a balance. It was a bizarre seeing the small lines for some of the biggest porn stars and fans approaching and tipping the EXXXOTICA stripper instead. What I liked though is that the girls charged the people who brought stacks of pictures in luggages to autograph more than 3 pictures. They should incorporate that into the AVN show. I have to give mad props to Betty Bangs for providing Amia Miley with an awesome Blondie bikini and Teagan Presley with a Rolling Stones bikini. Talking to Kelly Divine and her guy made me realise they think I am Dan Miller of AVN, due to some confusion about Awards tickets. I needed to make the requisite we all look alike joke. Hung out with Georgia Peach and Taryn Thomas making me flash back to 2006. Only things missing is Liv Wylder and a McDonald's playground in the background. Moz and Monstar were great in setting me up with media access and hooking me up with interviews. I only went to one party hosted by Audrey Bitoni at a place called Automatic Slims, with high recommendations from Blue Lou Boyle. For a while, I thought we were at a lesbian bar due to the high percentage of women in the crowd until the douchebags showed up. Lou was a little transfixed by Amy Brooke. Later I became transfixed by Amy with her shaking her ass to the music. We then debated about participating in a Fuck a Fan for her courtesy of Porno Dan until I remembered JAGnLA had been in her mouth. [o\|] A big group of people hung out for a bit at an offsite hotel bar/restaurant after the end of the convention. Teagan is funny when drinking especially when she pretends being pregnant for pictures by bulging her stomach forward. Mr. Pete told funny stories about being in the business and being with Alexis Texas. The Adam & Eve publicist was smoking hot similar in looks to Lauren Phoenix. [Link] |

Mostly everyone else allowed fans to take photos of them. If you want to be in a photo with them, it was either $5 or $10. Jesse Jane and a few others charged a bit more if you want a photo print (they had their own mini-printers with them). For signing photos, I brought maybe 3-5 per talent, and most said that can sign up to four for free, and $5 for anything more than that. One talent told me she could not sign only her signature on her photos. Sophia Lynn was cool. Her photos were $10, we spoke for a bit, I think everyone else kept on passing her booth (especially when she is right across from Lupe!) so I gave her $20 bucks in change, and got $12 back, and she even had a photo with me for no extra charge. Tori Black had no problem taking a photo with me after buying one of her DVD's. The Bluebird talent were not charging for anything. The Exxxotica hotties were better than last year. I think fans knew that with a few dollars here and there, they can get some naughty poses or photos with them in provocative poses, hehe. But yes, I saw a lot of fans just walk away after the talent informs them that it costs money for a personal photo. [Link] |
