Autumn has arrived yet again, bringing with it the annual fall eXXXotica expo in the great state of New Jersey. After setting an all-time attendance record at the Chicago show last July, expectations were high. With more than 150 different ladies scheduled to appear, I too had great hopes for this year's show and they were met, for the most part. So without further ado, let us begin.
Prologue After arriving in NJ at midday on Thursday, I picked my rental car and made the drive south to Edison. After checking in to the hotel, I took a nap for a few hours before arising at 9pm. I proceeded to drive south down the Jersey Turnpike to Philadelphia to Cheerleaders as Jayden Jaymes was feature dancing there that weekend. I hadn't had the best experiences with her in the past but the last time I saw her at last year's Jersey show, she was much friendlier and warmer than I'd ever seen her before. I had never seen her feature dance and I had nothing better to do that night, so I decided to make the trip. I have to say I was fairly impressed by Jayden. Her costume was was good and her performance was slow and sensual, a refreshing change from the fast pace break-neck speed most girls do. Most of all, she actually appeared to be having a good time. She went fully nude and had a lot of good interaction with the audience. After her show, I waited for the meet and greet as I had a special item I wanted Jayden to sign for me. It was Jayden's very own skateboard from Van Styles' V/SUAL line. She was very excited that I had brought to the club for her to sign and was more than happy to do so. I asked what her status was as far as shooting scenes since she hasn't shot anything in the last 12-18 months. She said she had recently begun shooting again and had some new scenes lined up, so keep an eye open for them in the future. I also bought a photo with her before making my departure. When I posted a picture of the skateboard on Twitter, Jayden not only retweeted it, but thanked me for coming to see her and said it was great to meet her (I didn't have the heart to tell her it was actually the fourth time we had met.) Overall, a surprisingly good encounter with Jayden Jaymes and a nice start to the weekend.
Day 1 A panoramic view of the entrance to the expo hall. No car show again this year, but there was a fully chromed Lamborghini for the girls to pose with. I made my way down the first aisle on the far right and who did I run in to first?
It was none other than the awesome Miss Tory Lane!! She wore a very revealing top and a very short skit. She's been trying to sell her house in North Carolina but hasn't had much success. She said that while people love the actual house, most just don't like it's extremely rural location more than hour outside a major city. She's been up to the usual, making trips out to LA periodically to shoot scenes. Always a fun time with Tory Lane.
As I continued down the aisle, I saw this guy wearing a protest sign demanding the return of the Priya Rai Show. I imagine it was a radio or podcast hosted by Priya Rai that was canceled. I admire his dedication to his favorite pornstar, but I can't fathom what he hoped to accomplish by wearing this sign at a porn convention in New Jersey. It's not like there was a network president who was at the expo who was going to see his sign and be so moved by this guy's efforts he would immediately reinstate the Priya Rai Show. Kudos to him for his determination, futile as it was.
Over at the Club Spotlight booth I found the lovely Vicki Chase. I was looking for her first as i wanted to get a copy of "V for Vicki" before she sold out. She is very excited about this movie and had a blast making it. She looked so innocent in that white top, much different than the naughty vixen we're used to seeing on screen. Always a pleasure to see Miss Chase.
The Queen of Cute and reigning Penthouse Pet of the Year, Lexi Belle showing off her unique fashion sense at the Club Spotlight booth. She's had a great year as the Penthouse POTY doing multiple appearance, feature dancing and will be passing on the title at the AVN show in Las Vegas next January. She went to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota this past August and had an absolute blast! Riding bikes, zip-lining across town, gambling in the casino (turns out she's a natural at poker!) She loved it, so much so, she said she'll probably go back next year. Lexi is always one of my favorite girls to see at a show and is always so much fun & enjoyable to be around.
The mythical Miss Tori Black showing off her new Seattle Seahawks hoodie and wool knit cap. I gave her a Seahawks t-shirt last year and again in Miami last spring, so it's become something of a tradition. I have pretty much all of her movies that I want so this is a way of supporting her without buying any merchandise from her. It's been the same ole, same ole with her. Doing the full-time Mom thing and some feature dance appearance now & then. She would be dancing at Sapphires on Saturday night and I told her I would see her there. Even though she hasn't shot a scene in four years there was still a small crowd of fans waiting to see her. Impressive how Tori stills draws a crowd despite being inactive for so long.
Latina lovely Adrianna Luna working her table at Club Spotlight. So tiny & petite with a high pitch voice that is surprisingly adorable. Hard to believe she's all ready been in the business for four years now. She's been a Penthouse Pet and shot for nearly every studio under the sun. I'm surprised she isn't a bigger star than she is. Very beautiful and sweet girl, whom I hope continues to have a successful career.
The most famous college student in the world, Belle Knox working her table. Unfortunately, I didn't have as great an experience with her as Anime Nut did in Chicago. She was very quiet and gave very short yes and no answers to my questions. I felt like a cop interrogating suspect. Don't get me wrong, she was very pleasant & polite, but she just seemed nervous/uncomfortable talking to me. I was able to get her to tell me that she only plans to stay in porn until she graduates college and hopefully gets in to law school. Which means in three years, she's gone. Porn is simply a means to an end for her, which is fine. Many girls use it for the same reason. When I asked if she had any regrets, she said there were a few things she would have handled differently, but overall she does not regret getting in to porn. Even though Belle and I didn't hit it off like a couple of old chums, I'm still glad to have met her.
Next we have the return of retired Latin star Abella Anderson in a black leather dress. She had not been to NJ in three years. Don't get your hopes up as she is still retired with no plans to start shooting again. She was very popular with the fans and there was always a crowd at her table to see her whenever I walked by. She seemed to genuinely be having fun meeting the fans and taking photos with them. That doesn't always happen when a retired star makes an appearance at a show.
Here's Abella with the new Miami Dolphins cap I gave her. She's not much of a football fan, but she does like to rep her hometown of Miami. Besides, guys love to see girls in sports gear, even if it's not their own favorite team.
The Lady in Red, Ash Hollywood working her table at the Club Spotlight booth. She's been busy this year, shooting scenes and working on some mainstream projects. Most notably was her first B/G IR scene for Blacked.com. This was only the second time I'd met her, but she is quickly becoming a favorite.
I passed by the Jules Jordan booth on the far side of the floor and found Anikka Albrite showing off her most prized ASSet for a group of photographers. More on her later.
As I waited in line to see Phoenix Marie, just as I got to the front, Julia Ann stopped by to see Phoenix. I just happened to have two box covers that featured the two of them. I took this opportunity to grab a quick photo op with them. The two of them are very good friends both on screen and off.
After Julia Ann departed, Phoenix decided to demonstrate her flexibility while showing off her bedazzled Nikes. Phoenix took off her wifebeater to put on another shirt and I just had to get a photo of her in her bra.
Her new shirt was one showing off her support for her favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. It fit her like a glove. She's also sporting a new KC wool knit cap in the second photo as well.
I genuinely can not say enough good things about Phoenix Marie. One of nicest, sweetest and friendliest girls you will ever. She flat out LOVES meeting the fans and signing autographs for them & taking photos with them. She has a spot permanently cemented on my list of favorite girls to see at a show. She was a crowd favorite too as there was always someone at her table whenever I passed by. She put in many long hours at the show all three days and posed for more photos than I could count. I've never missed seeing her at a show and I never will. I dread the day when she decides it's time for her to step out from in front of the camera for good.
The legendary Julia Ann making her return to NJ for the first time in four years. It was only the second time I'd ever met her but she was just as lovely as I remembered. She still looks as gorgeous as ever. Not much new going on with her. Still shooting scenes and doing her animal rescue work. I asked if she was still working as a make-up artist and she said that she wasn't. It was too much trying to juggle shooting scenes and doing make-up at the same time. Also, as of now, she has no plans to retire any time time, which is always good to hear. A very pleasant experience with Julia Ann.
At long last we come to Asian sensation Asa Akira in a very revealing B&W striped dress working her table at the Club Spotlight booth. She looked amazing, as she always does. I teased her that she couldn't be the real Asa Akira because the real Asa doesn't come to NJ in even numbered years, a reference to the fact she attended the 2009, 2011, & 2013 shows but missed the 2010 & 2012 shows. I playfully congratulated her on breaking the every-other-year curse. She said she kept waiting to get sick or for a scene to be reschedule for the same dates as the show but fortunately things worked out and she made it to NJ. Finally, we got down to brass tacks. I told Asa that ever since last October, when her contract with Wicked was announced two days after last year's NJ show, I had imagined many times what I would say to her the next time I saw her. I told her that her contract announcement felt like a sucker punch to the gut as she was literally the last girl I ever would have guessed to sign a contract. I was feeling very conflicted because part of me wanted to be a good fan and support her decision, while the other part of me wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake some sense in to her and ask her what the hell was wrong with her! I wasn't mad at her for signing a contract, but it was very confusing for me because I couldn't understand why Asa would want to be a contract girl. I was also sad about the end of her gonzo career. Before leaving for NJ I bought a copy of her book, "Insatiable" and read it in it's entirety on the plane ride to Newark. I mainly did it so I could discuss it with Asa at the show, but it also ended up giving a much better understanding of why she signed a contract. She had always dreamed of being a Wicked Girl even before she got in to porn. To her, the Wicked Girls were like the modern day version of what the Vivid Girls were back in the '90s. While Asa said she wasn't bored with gonzo, she had done everything she had ever dreamed of and accomplished pretty much everything she wanted to in gonzo. She added that another reason she signed with Wicked is she wants to work on her acting skills, something she is not particularly known for at the moment. It's a new challenge for her and in her book she states she wants to win the Best Actress Award at AVN someday (though she told me in person that she isn't expecting it to happen anytime soon.) Speaking of her book, if you get the chance give it a read. It comes across more of a journal or diary than a novel. She does bounce around a lot from her childhood in New York to shooting porn in LA to her dominatrix days in Manhattan dungeons and her time in Tampa as the "show whore" for a local morning radio show. Apparently, she was quite the juvenile delinquent back in the day. From skipping school, to shop lifting for fun, to trying almost every illegal drug known to man and exploring her sexuality to the point of being labeled the school slut, a title she relished. Personally, I thought it was an enjoyable read. It was funny in parts, surprising in others, but the ending was a bit sad. She writes a Dear John letter to her gonzo career that is basically a metaphor for explaining to her fans why she is leaving gonzo. She writes another letter to her future unborn child that will pluck at your heartstrings. Overall, a great time seeing Asa Akira again. I was able to get a lot of things off my chest that I had been carrying with me for over a year. I will greatly miss her in the world of gonzo but I'm happy that she at least still active in the adult business and still shooting scenes. Asa is always a ton of fun to see in person and this time was no different. I wish her the best of luck in her new career path, even though I know she doesn't need it. As we've all ready seen, when Asa Akira puts her heart and mind in to doing something, there's nothing she can't accomplish.
That's a good idea, I'll have to give it a try. Plus with the thick crowds, I didn't have much room and had to stand closer to the girls than I would have liked.

The lovely and charming jessica drake making her second consecutive appearance in New Jersey. She's been busy this year filming and promoting her "Guide to Wicked Sex" line, an educational series on a variety of sexually related topics. She's still shooting scenes too, starring in Wicked big movies this year called "Aftermath". She also did two seminar offering sex advice to attendees. jessica is always so pleasant and cheerful at these shows and I always enjoy seeing her.
Over at the Jules Jordan booth, I finally was able to meet adult superstar Nikki Benz, who was making her Jersey debut. I was supposed to see her last February at a feature dance appearance in Palm Beach. However, during her first show of the weekend a drunken customer climbed up on the stage during her show and charged at her. Club security failed to do anything, so she fled the stage and canceled all her remaining shows. I complemented Nikki on her recent decision to go back to brunette. A lot of her fans may not know but she was a brunette several years ago and shot some scenes as one. In fact I brought the cover of her movie "Come as You Please 3", which has Nikki on the cover with her brown hair. I think it gives her a more exotic appearance and it seems to bring out more of her Eastern European heritage and makes her look like Bond girl, IMO. Even though I had never met Nikki before, I knew from her Twitter page that she's from Toronto and a fan of that city's sports teams. I found this Maple Leafs t-shirt & hat and thought it would be a nice ice breaker and it was. Nikki's been busy as always. From shooting scenes, to feature dancing, and hosting events & parties. She was enjoying meeting all the fans and I thanked her for making the trip out to the east coast. A very nice first impression by Nikki Benz.
Buttwoman herself and new Arch Angel contract star, Jada Stevens rocking the au naturel look at the JJV booth. She bounced back & forth between there and the Veronica Rodriguez booth. I asked her why she decided to forgo make-up and she said she was short of time getting to the show that day. Same reason why her outfit is a t-shirt, thong knee-high socks and sneakers. She was going for a low key casual look and she pulled it off spectacularly! Jada asked me how she looked without her make-up and I said that her eyebrows were a little thinner but other than that she looked the same. She's been busy this year shooting a ton in the spring before I saw her in Miami. Thins picked up again a couple months ago before she became contracted. Once word spread in the industry that Jada was going to be contracted all the other companies booked her in October, so she was shooting like crazy. With a scheduled 30-40 scenes over the next year, the pace isn't going to slow down either. In other news, Jada is moving to Miami from her hometown of Atlanta. She's likes the beach and the chill environment (her words not mine) and that's where she wants to be when she's not working. Plus she wants to get away from those cold winters. Now that she's contracted her schedule will be much more predictable, so hopefully she can book more feature dance appearances. Jada's been house dancing for years, so she knows how to work the pole! Always a pleasure to see Jada Stevens.
Here Jada shows off her new Hello Kitty t-shirt I gave her. I had given her one at last year's show and when I saw this one, I had to get it for her. It was very appropriate to give Jada, a Hello Kitten junkie, a shirt with a beach theme since she is now moving to Miami. She said she'll definitely be wearing it around town and I told her I'd keep an eye open for it on her Twitter and Instagram.
Also at the JJV booth was rising superstar Anikka Albrite. I had never met her before and was eager to finally do so. This was Anikka's first time attending an eXXXotica, not just New Jersey, but any eXXXotica ever. She was having a great time so far and she was very busy at the JJV booth. There was always someone at her table to see her and to my surprise, she frequently drew a bigger crowd than either Nikki Benz or Jada Stevens. She was kind enough to sign a few DVD covers for me including "Top Bottoms", "Jada Stevens is Buttwoman", and of course, "Aniika" & "Anikka 2". She was fairly busy when I saw her, so we didn't talk very much on Friday, but we would later in the weekend, so stay tuned for more on Anikka Albrite. (P.S. - I really like the color on the last photo. It's like she has this glowing gold aura emitting around her.)
Gorgeous Gaia gratuitously glowing golden at Galaxy Publishing. She recently announced on her Twitter that she is getting all of her tattoos removed. When I asked her why, she replied now that she has her dermal implants on her cheeks, she no longer needs the tattoos as her signature feature. She added that she also outgrown them.She got them when she was younger and is ready to go back to a more natural appearance. Plus she can get more work as she has lost some bookings due to the tattoos. She still lives in Vegas and house dances at the Spearmint Rhino, so if you're ever in town, check her out if you get a chance.
The entertaining Miss Misty Stone sporting a candy striped tube top at the Galaxy Publishing booth. She was recently made the December 2014 Penthouse Pet of the Month. Surprisingly, she didn't have any copies of the magazine for sale. Penthouse had not sent her any. Luckily, I had brought my own copy from home. Misty is always so much fun to see. Very energetic, always smiling, laughing and having a good time. I wish her continued success.
Next up we have luscious Latina Savana Ginger. Yes he's the sister of Havana Ginger. She recently returned to industry and is back to shooting scenes again. So far she's only done a masturbation scene for Devil's Films' "My Gigantic Toys 19"(she & Havana are in the scene together, but obviously they have no physical contact with each other.) A very sexy lady that I'd love to see more of. If you would too, please start requesting her to your favorite directors.
Sitting right next to Savana was fellow Latin beauty Chloe Amour. An absolutely drop-dead gorgeous girl! She was definitely one the girls I was most looking forward to meeting for the first time. She only does regular B/G, no anal, DP, gangbangs or any other of the extreme acts, which is fine with me. She has a very bright smile and like Adrianna Luna, has a very high-pitched voice. I commented that the two of should do a scene together since they are so similar: both are beautiful, petite Latinas with squeaky voices. Chloe replied they actually just shot a B/G/G scene together with Brad Armstrong for Wicked, which should be out soon. A very beautiful girl, who could be a huge star in the business if she plays her cards right.
Retired Indian beauty Priya Rai making her return to NJ after three years. She stopped shooting adult movies a couple years ago. Now she is focusing on mainstream, feature dancing, and hosting events/parties. She's still rocking the Skillrex haircut, though she has lost a lot of weight and was looking very thin. She's still a very beautiful girl. She will be at AVN, along with doing a new show Called "Pornstar Game Night" and she'll be appearing in a non-sex role in the new Barbarella parody from Axel Braun/Wicked Pictures. Nice to see Priya again after so long.

I got to chat briefly with Kendra as she was very busy and had a lot of fans waiting to see her. She's been busy as always. She lives in Michigan and commutes to LA to shoot scenes. She also feature dances on occasion, mostly in the Detroit area. Hopefully, clubs around the country start booking her as I'd love to see her show. She was promoting her new film "The Booty Movie" by MimeFreak & Arch Angel, their first release. Kendra is another girl who is amazing with the fans. Loves meeting them, talking with them and taking photos with them. I don't think this girl has a mean bone in her body. We are very lucky to have her in the business. Beautiful face, knockout body and a great performer. I hope sticks around for a long time.

I had seen Richelle a week earlier at a feature dancing appearance in West Palm Beach. I didn't get to see her at the meet-&-greet after her show, so I brought an 8x10 she had given me during her show for her to sign. She's been good, shooting a few scenes here & there, but mostly just feature dancing a ton. If you follow her on Twitter, than you've sen her on the road nearly every weekend at clubs in cities all over the country. A very pretty girl with a great body whom puts on a great show.
The last girl of the night is none other than the awesome Asa Akira. This events always go by quickly but Friday went by in a flash. I got there a little after 5pm and the next thing I knew it was after 11pm. I was surprised to see Asa still at the show this late. She had arrived late and was staying until the show closed at midnight to make up the difference. Since there was hardly anyone left at the show i seized this opportunity to have Asa sign these skateboards for me. Asa drew her own little graffiti logo on them (she said it's the only thing she can draw.) I asked her to pose for a photo with each board and this is what she came up with. One of the things I love about Asa is she has a great sense of humor and doesn't take herself too seriously. Which is one of the reasons she so much fun to see at a show. If you want to buy one of Asa's boards, the first one is still available on the V/SUAL website, along with Jayden Jaymes' board. The one in the second photo is sold out and unavailable.
Great job, Josh - there's some real good work here. Vikki Chase has shot to the top of my lists recently and I really liked your pics of her. Jessica Drake continues to amaze me with her beauty and I can never say enough about Asa! You really hit the nail on the head in that write-up. I was feeling very much the same as you about her contract when originally announced and yes, the book helps explain it all. Your shots are always great and I really enjoy your comments about the moments.
