As far as why facials evolved, consider these points:
1) Porn is primarily a visual medium and so a visible ejaculation is better than an invisible one.
2) Coming in a woman's mouth is a pleasurable reality or fantasy for many men.

Sometimes if a couple watches a porn movie act that is presented in a positive light, one or both partners will take an interest, or at least want to talk about it. From personal experience, though, I can't really answer the question of how to convince a woman to "take" a facial. This was a happy and natural part of my sexuality long before I watched any porn.
