Quick money is always spent in an easy and quick way. I don't think many porn girls will treat it as its career. Most will like to earn a lot in short time. It is true that most talents will only hv 1 to 2 yr or even few months life span in the porn biz.
i hv to say that some girls may not be well educated or mature enough when entering the biz. But no need take too serous, everyone has its life style. Porn biz is an entertaining business, if all girls are smart, how can we see so many new hot chicks ?

The problem is most of the girls think the money will never run out. The smart ones invest in their future and save instead of spending it on designer BS. I never during my career drove a porche,wore prada,Or bought a Tiffany diamond. These things are material and won't last. I think it's sad when a girl comes begging for work in her five hundred dollar shoes and 800 dollar gucci bag needing work to pay her rent. Most girls feel they have to put on an act because they want to be something they're not rich and famous. Acting Rich and Famous doesn't mean you are that's the first thing they need to learn. When a girl comes to me wanting advice the first thing I tell her is to save her money live moderate and open up a business of her own and buy a house not a Porche. You can never go wrong on owning a home it won't lose it's value as long as it's within your means. One day the phone calls will stop and you better have a back up plan.
I agree with this which is a good advice for us all not only for porn performers. But still do male performers act smarter than girls? I don't believe so , if i remember well Mark Wallice needed money so much that he faked his medical analysis to avoid a stop. How did he even thought he cannot be discovered?
Confusing post. How are people fake with their IQ? And to say most porn chicks are smart is a rather silly sweeping statement. There are no more smart porn girls than there are smart girls not involved in porn.
And surely if you say these girls are smart they would know how to handle cash? Or is your definition of smart being able to tie your own shoelaces? The girls that are truly smart like you say are the ones that end their careers with a good amount of cash and the ones that are still working granny porn internet sites at 60 are the ones that are not so smart. Or so i would imagine.

Is everybody forgetting that we're discussing mostly 18/19 yr olds? Irresponsibility is the hallmark of youth. It's good that Jewel doles out sound advice to these neophytes but how many others in their sphere do the same? Most agents probably promise them employment in perpetuity and all their peers are doing the same things. In the end it's just a two year lark in the exciting underbelly of sexual promiscuity. There's plenty of time to grow up and think of what might have been with all the money that got frittered away.
I have often cited yourself, Katja Kassin, Katsumi and a few others when discussing what it takes to have a CAREER & LONGEVITY in the porn biz!
As I point out to my newer girls is that the women that last in this biz understand that it is just that - a business. Treat it that way. Work hard, save your money and invest it in something more worthwhile than a car or a Louis Vuitton handbag. Because you never know when the porn money will end and Real Life will begin.

I never had a purse that was more than 20 bucks and I'm proud of it. It's totally ridiculous to me that some chicks need to carry their dog around in a 3000 dollar hand bag.
I tend to agree with picman on this one. It's not the fact that they are "porn chicks" that makes them irresponsible with money. It's the fact that they are 18-22 year old girls who suddenly find money in their pockets and have never really been taught proper "life skills" with regard to money management.
I think that it's appalling that things like balancing a check book, understanding how credit cards actually work, benefits of homeownership vs renting, how to file an income tax form, etc... are not taught in the public school system. IMO, things like this are far more important for young people to know than virtually any other high school subject that I can think of.
It would be nice if there were more agents, like Mark Spiegler, who go out of their way to educate the girls that he represents. I think that helping his clients to keep the money that they earn is even more important than helping them earn that money in the first place.
georgia sweety i love the blunt honesty you bring to the table.... i just have to say that after the week i just had i feel there are some of the girls who are smarter than they act.... while others i feel are just outsmarted by those who in the industry to use women for their profits ..... i told many of the girls to work on creating there websites with someone they can trust a firend someone they knew befor they got into the industry.... i feel there is some real great people in the porn indusrty i met in the last few days..... i feel that the future is bright for the girls in the indusrty if they work together in making things better for one another.. and making a age of 21 i feel is a must sorry if this makes waves... there are some girls i met last week that just dont have the maturity yet at 18 19 20 to understand just what your saying georiga i not sure it's IQ as much as just life exsperience

Jewel hit it on the head and as a fan, I seen em come and seen em go. I've also heard the stories of girls begging for work.
If you last 2-3 years, you had a career longer than most women and assuming your day rate was good, you'd still have to pinch to save a buck.
This thread could go a long way to saving some femaled from the soup line. Hopefully they get the point.

Great point picman. A very well educated quick witted slightly more mature female said the same thing to me this weekend. Something to the effect of "they are 18 to 21 you shouldn't expect most to be 100% matured".
Add to that all the drugs around. All the peer pressure(I know that term makes you think "high" school, but behind the scenes porn politics is a lot like "high" school).

We have no control over what other people do or say sometimes, so I think it's best to not even worry about it. We just have to keep doing what we do Georgia. You just gotta keep yourself out of trouble and be wise with your money. As the 1 and only Jewel De'Nyle said. You might not get to drive around a ferrari or be dripping in diamonds, but you won't have problems in the future either. Same for me Georgia. I have to just keep treating people(mainly females) in the way I was taught to with the highest respect possible. That may never make me Mr. Cool or Mr. Edge, but I won't have to worry about Karma.

Indeed Jewel....very well said! Real estate usuallly gains value with age, while a car takes a jump off a cliff the minute it pulls out of the lot.
Speaking of which, Sunset tells me that Sunrise is in the real estate business since her retirement. I thought that to be classic...and smart of her! But I'll still miss her incredibly sexy scenes.
That said, some people just don't know how to live "simple". There are the few, myself included, who think their funds will never run out. I just recently lost my job, and after buying new camera gear, etc...I find myself winding down to "what do I want to do next in life?" coming on a very short budget of time. However, I'll often hypocrite myself so much to tell people how they can better manage their money, which I'm good at...just don't apply it to myself as often, thinking that a $60k/year job would pay for most anything necessary, but unfortunately putting the "wants" ahead of long-term "needs".
Time will tell, there's still a chance I'll get my job back...thankfully. Next time around, I'll be a lil' bit smarter about the funds I sock away, which for the past year have been going towards a house anyhow (which here in the Lehigh Valley is min. $250k anyhow).
Georgia hun, I hope you fall into the group that makes the best of what she's got...not relying on what she "might" have 5, 10, or 20 years from now. Mark, keep her in line...she's a good kid! ;)
