But in the meantime we've seen Titan and others raise the bar with plenty of fisting and W/S on retail DVD releases... With their slow-adoption policy toward DVDs, Falcon doesn't seem to be very concerned with market factors in general. Unfortunately, they've always been big enough to play by their own rules. If anyone finds out the details about this release PLEASE let us know -- as it will probably tell us a lot about the future of Falcon on DVD... |

I was concerned that there DVDs would have a simular price My copy of the DVD is in the mail as I type this. I still havn't checked what I was charged for it. TLA has it for 49.95$ which were a little more used to. but then the issue of editing comes up. there description mentions editing at the very bottom but they are selling bot they are selling both the VHS and DVD on the same page. so it still may not apply to the DVD |
| joeblow69 Member 946 Posts 2/00 | They sell the complete unedited version only at their website for $90. This way, they never have to lower the price because they know that people will always want the uncut version, and they will pay dearly for it. They do the same damn thing for their VHS tapes. Anything with "controversial" footage costs around $80, even if the movie is 10 years old! You can buy the edited version from other stores for around $50. You can tell you are getting the censored version by looking at the running time. TLAVideo reports thier version of The Other Side of Aspen is only 42 minutes. 42 minutes!! I'm not sure how long the unedited version is, but for $90, it better be a hell of a whole lot longer! I guess if you are not into fisting, then you probably aren't missing much by getting the censored version, but I think it would be wise for everyone just to pass this one by. Send Falcon the message that NO movie is worth $90. I don't care if it stars Tom Cruise getting double penetrated by Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt! It ain't worth it! |
