These days in HMV music, you can make your own CDs. You can choose so many tracks from different albums and burn them onto 1 CD at a cost.
It would be cool if you could do this with porn. Sometimes I end up getting a DVD just for one performer's scene and the rest of the DVD is somewhat non-existent. So it would be great to for example ask Anabolic/Diabolic to make up a DVD containing a number of scenes from their movies. In a way it would end up being a complilation, but it woudl be your very own made to measure comp!
I had this idea in mind for quite some time, but i really think it wouldnt be cost effective for companies to release a consumer's custom made dvd. Imagine selecting different scenes from a repertoire of movies at EA web site and making that tailored made dvd. Then having it delivered to you by US Postal!!!
I wish I'm wrong, because I would be very pleased if it could actually be done. My shopping list would grow exponentially if such a thing could be done.
Maybe in a distant future, such practise could be viable. We can always hope for it! Hehe
If I could do this, I wouldn't need over 250 DVDs, because sad to say, a lot my DVD only have a couple good scenes, and the rest are never watched.
There are exceptions though, but I hang onto the DVDs I have basically because there is only one scene on them.
Good idea, not far-fetched, but I doubt it would be possible, because if it were, who would buy the titles if only one good scene, that could be saved, could be saved to one DVD along with a lot of other good scenes?

The idea crossed my mind several times as well. It is a fantastic idea, and it isn't that far fetched. I just don't think it is going to happen all trhat soon, but one the production prices come down so that studios can make a larger profit they would be nuts not to offer it.
It would be a dream come true if you ask me snowden porn. Imagine if you could just buy your porn by the individual scene, and make your own compilation DVDs. There is now reason why this should eat into the profits of the original discs if you price the individual scenes properly.
The fact is sooner or later us consumers will have affordable access to DVD copying software and hardware. So it would be an incredibly smart move for some company to beat us to the punch, and profit from the healthy mark-up.
I agree that this is a very good idea. There is one flaw though. Imagine if you had compilations of just your favourite girls, for me it would be like Daniella Rush, Anita Blonde, Monica Sweetheart etc etc. If all you bought from then on was compilations of just these girls, just think of all the new girls or girls that you have missed in the past that you have never seen???
For me, one of the joys of porn is that you get to see some real shit and some real quality, it goes hand in hand. You can't have quality all the time, otherwise it will get boring. So will watching the same girl over and over again.

Yes, watching quality porn gets so boring! Your second comment may be more accurate, but my arguments regarding this issue have already been articulated in this forum.
It's not only possible but probable, because Ana/Diabolic and Red Light titles don't have copy protection yet. It would just be a matter of buying the dvd, recording the favorite scenes, and selling it. Also, I thought you were opposed to compilations.
Actually, snowden and gold_member I think this is not as far off as you may think. Porn has always been on the edge of leading technology. With dvd rips already appearing on the net and reasonably priced dvd recorders only about two years away, I think it's just a matter of time before production companies get wise and start allowing consumers to create their own compilations.
while i think this is a cool idea, i have to kind of agree with SQUID. alot of my favorite stars were discovered by "accident" after buying a DVD to see someone else. i would hate to have missed out on all those pleasant surprises.

I despise compliations, but this type of comp is entirely tailor maid for your own needs, containing matreial YOU want to see. This thought only came about because I wanted to get some Kristina Bella titles, but I don't like teh look of teh remaining material on each of her DVD's. So this idea would allow you to request an order to Evil Angel to create a DVD containing her scenes from Fresh Meat 11, Voyeur 18 (i think), and that Buttman one she was in, + any other filler material if available space.
If custom compilations were to become a reality, it certainlt would not spell the end of regular porn dvd releases. As great as it would be to be able to order custom tailored content on my DVDs I highly doubt it would stop any porn fan from watching new features and gonzo dvds.
