But, due to reasons of wider availability of product (than in the 80s) and the possession of a VCR, the 90's was when I really began to consume porn seriously, rather than opportunistically. 'Wider availability' is also something of a misnomer. In my country, 99.99% of pornography is imported. There is only one local pornographer (read wholesale importer), who is always referred to by the media as a 'porn king' - pathetic really. Moreover, and notwithstanding the general 21st century society-wide prurient interest in celebrity sex lives, and despite the mainstream media obsession with (but simultaneous denial of) the commodified sexualisation of social and cultural discourse, porn in my country is ghetto-ised. As such there are an extremely limited number of outlets from which a fan can purchase or rent porn. It also appears the owners of the outlets are fully conscious of the uncompetitive market they are operating in, and the total lack of consumer power in the hands of their customers. At best, about 5 % of the porn produced world-wide reaches porn fans in my country, and I suspect the deals under which the DVDs are imported would amount to 'dumping' under WTO regulations; for every Ass Worship 11 reaching here there are 10 lame Combat Zone 'All (bad) Sex' titles. Of course, in terms of quantity, the Internet is a better source of product, but we won't go there since this post is supposed to be about the 90's. Back in the 90s it was worse, and unless you wanted to spend exorbitant amounts of money to purchase videos from the one badly-stocked, and out-of-the-way, 'adult' store in town, the xxx sections of mainstream video rental outlets were the only places to access porn. Availability of porn via the world wide web was also pretty limited, even if you had a PC. The above pre-amble is essentially a big justification for the possible mediocrity of the list of my favorite porn movies of the 90's. However, my motivation for starting this thread is not to bemoan the situation in which I found myself during the 90s, porn-wise, but to celebrate and share the memories. Back in the day, the absence of an ADT-like community/environment meant there was no opportunity to applaud and glorify my favorite pornpleasure moments. Here's my chance to do so, and here's my list: Fisherman's Wife (1992) - director: Raven Angelica Bella, great ass, beautiful face, magnificent tits, does anal and DP; other scenes are average, and I can get past the arty cross-faded editing because of the wondrous Angelica. Oh Angelica... Butt Sluts 2 (1993) - director: Rex Borsky A (young) Shayla Laveaux , Alexis Deville, Kaylan Nicole triple lick-fest, culminating in Shayla pleasuring herself anally with a vibrator; two buxom blondes, Kaylan Nicole and Crystal Wilder, going hard out; (young) Francesca Le hotness. A video that kept on giving... Washington DP (1993) director: Bosley de Longprez Five DP scenes, including personal faves Nicole London, Rebecca Bardoux and Crystal Wilder (whose butt seemed immaculate in this movie). Uncompromising commitment to the nasty... Beauties in Paradise (1994) - director: Michel Ricaud My first Private movie; 10 scenes; the story of a pseudo-innocent (played by Valy Verdy - awesome body) turning into a slut; quirky/erotic themes. I needed more Private after that... Seymore and Shane Do Ireland (1994) - director: Seymore Butts One of my first gonzo experiences; my first exposure to Kylie Ireland; the idea that Kylie and Seymore were having sex in a van in a public carpark blew my mind. Not the only thing that blew (multiple times)... Buttman's European Vacation 3 (1996) - director: John Stagliano Another early gonzo experience, still thought it was 'real'; Stagliano's enthusiasm for butt was infectious and arousing; Finnish blonde, Sabina, came across as completely innocent and inexperienced but ended up in DP. Hot, hot, hot.. Face Jam (1997) - director: Jim Enright The goddess, Kylie Ireland, does lez, anal (my first experience of a Kylie anal) and IR; seven lengthy scenes, a (loosely based on a true) story line; other faves (Nici Sterling, Nicole London). An awesome movie... Indecente aux Enfers (1997) - director: Marc Dorcel Laure Sinclair being beautiful and oh so slutty; Anita Dark, Lea Martini; so many scenes, so many erotic scenarios. My favorite Dorcel movie... Satyr (1997) - director: Michael Zen Jenna Jameson was still hot (to me anyway), three scenes including Missy violating JJ's ass with a glass dildo; Stacey Valentine DPs; Asia Carerra takes a butt plug. Mmmm... LA Fashion Girls (1998) - director: Jim Holliday Stacey Valentine (anal scene & DP scene), Jill Kelly, Shayla Laveaux, Nina Hartley; a massive lesbian orgy with heaps of anal action. Rocco's scene with Deirdre Holland is romantic and hot and his bathroom scene with Ashlyn Gere is nasty and hot. The sound of the couch squeaking during the sex scene between Holland and Jon Dough near the end of the film was very memorable. The sex felt much more 'felt' than the mechancial, uninspired couplings that were endemic during this decade, and Leslie shot the film with much more care towards the look and script than pretty much anyone at this time. The last dying gasp of the real feature in porn. I pretty much gave up on porn by the mid-to-late 90s (the likes of Rex Borsky drove me off) and only returned around the middle of the 00s when I discovered the 70s 'classics.' [Link] |

Some brilliant performers in the cast including Jenna James, Jeanna Fine, Jill Kelly, Nici Sterling, TT Boy, Peter North, Vince Vouyer, Brad Armstrong and many more.
