1. ...why can't gonzo females actresses win any of the mayor AVN award like Female Performer of the Year, Movie of the Year, etc etc?

I was a big fan of the Wicked Pictures movies back in the days specially when Jenna Jameson was their contract star. I think there's more interaction between the girls and the camera in gonzo movies.

2. Why do you guys lose some interests and get all sad when girls go the contract way and leave the gonzo world?

mod note: since you've got another thread on gonzo vs. feature going in the Polls forum, I'm pruning this to just your other questions.

The only reason I get sad when a woman gets a contract is that chances are I'll get to see her less often. Other than that, she's welcome to the steady gig. Features don't bother me. Bad sex scenes bother me, and I can find those just as easily in gonzo.

Some fans are sad to see a woman go the contract route because they are less extreme. No more circus sex.
Extreme Associates had a couple of contract stars, as did Elegant Angel , but those were the only gonzo contract stars I can think of.

As Hardware says, contract stars are in less movies, so there is less material to see. This is an issue if you focus on your favorite stars as I do.

answer to your first question:
I think the reason is that the industry wants to get more credibility as part of the whole film industry.

And you don't give an OSCAR to a member of MTV's THE REAL WORLD cast.

Wasn't Lauren Phoenix the last female performer of the year ?

If I'm not mistaken, Lauren Phoenix won this year, Ashley Blue the year before, Aurora Snow the year before that (pre-contract), Nikita Denise before that.

I couldn't find a complete list, but I think you'll find that this comment, like so many other anti-feature complaints, is completely unfounded.
