Not comments like whore, bitch, slut, gaping asshole e.t.c. but the comments on box covers of serie "Aka Filthy Whore" by Legend! "Bella Donna Aka Filthy Whore":Poor little Bella Donna. She doesn't like who she is.She doesn't like being worthless cock-monkey.She doesn't like the fact that she's been ass fucked so many times the only thing wider than her anus is the silly gap between her front teeth. "Briana Banks Aka Filthy Whore":Briana Banks may be a cute, but damn is she dumb. She has not only mutilated her body with big, gross, fake tits.......Her lack of brains makes her to stupid to say no as she degrades herself over and over for your viewing pleasure. "Tera Patrick Aka Filthy Whore 2":All we know is her parents must be proud to have raised not just an average cocksocket, but the best fucking pig of the year. When she goes home for the holidays, what do you suppose they talk about at the dinner table? How many guys she fucked this year,or how many loads of cum she got in her eyes and up her nose?Congratulations to Tera Patrick and her family.
I imagine most women are aware of misogyny before they get into porn. Pandering is pretty mild in comparison. There's no reason to respect people who write this crap, but there are people in my profession I don't respect either, so there ya go.
Hope this isn't going slightly off topic. I've been critical in the past of the lack of imagination showed by the copywriters of box covers. As someone interested in words and language I've wondered does the specific language used on boxcovers instil some sense of excitement about the performer or the content you're expecting to see? Does the copy that cris posted excite you to purchase or rent the movie?
The only thing that excites me about the stuff on a box cover, words or pictures, is if it is an accurate description and depiction of the activity contained within.
Any ridiculous hyperbole or flowery porn assessment of the girl; her past, or her character, is of little or no value. Again, unless it speaks specifically to what's in the movie I'm considering.
So to answer your question, No, that doesn't excite or move me.
Nothing says I love you so much as a tongue in the ass. 2884 Posts 1/03

Two thoughts on this topic. One, most of the performers only contact with the videos is on the day of the shoot. They probably don't watch much porn, and unless someone shoves a title in their face at a show, they don't really know what's on the boxcover. I'm sure there are a few out there that do watch and probably despise the copy, even if they didn't mind the misogynistic stuff within the scene. Second, as a consumer, I can tell you that I was uncomfortable buying titles in a brick and mortar store that were that crude. It shouldn't have mattered given where I was, but it did. I still don't like titles like that and avoid them unless the performances (or the possibilities) are so compelling that I don't feel like passing on them. I still have never owned or rented any of Anabolic's Cum Sucking Whore titles. BTW I'm still on the fence over Cumshitters . Despite the foul connotation it looks like it might be good.
Forget the box covers...directors often put stuff in the movies - usually in the form of subtitles or graphics that I'm sure the girls don't have any idea are going to wind up there.
I know companies like JM and Anabolic use these titles to sell their movies and I don't think they are crossing a line here if the girls in the movie are oke with it, meaning they know which movie they will be in and what the title will be but then again, what's in a title?
The titles may be a bit extreme, but so is the porn content. Most of the actresses in these films are typically called whores and other such names, so they shouldn't be surprised IMHO to see those type of comments on the box cover.
I don't know what this means :-) However, what I can say: the girls know that they've chosen a profession where many people will think of them as worthless, worse-than-whores, etc., so presumably they're thick skinned enough to live with whatever verbal abuse comes their way. I'm sure 4- or 5-figure cheques help stop the tears as well...
I hate this kind of crap on the box covers. Not only is it derogatory, but it's also embarassingly dumb.
I got copies of 'A Cumsucking Whore Named Judy Star' and 'A Cumsucking Whore Named Tricia Deveraux', and both movies are excellent compilations, but the titles make me ache a bit. As far as I remember, Tricia herself posted something about that title some time ago, like 'it's stupid and I don't like it, but what can you do'.
I sometimes wonder if people get turned on by this or if the companies misjudge the fact that a lot of people by the movies DESPITE the text. I'm afraid the former is the case.
I'm glad somebody brought this up. It also applies to porn websites... I tracked down an episode of a certain web series with an actress that I am a big fan of. The scene was very hot, very sexy, but the text that introduced it said something to the effect of "We found this stupid whore at the mall, this dumb cunt didn't even know we were gonna take her back to our house and gang bang her retarded ass" etc. etc. Not sexy at all, and not a good advertisement of otherwise excellent content. If anything, this redundant, misogynistic copy indicates the general lack of creativity that currently plagues our hallowed industry.
Undoubtably the idea of a woman who would knowingly and happy enjoy a vigorous gangbang would be a woodkiller to many of the fellows who watch porn. I know a few women like this, and they find most porn boring.
"Aka Filthy Whore" and "A Cum Sucking Whore Named" are comps movies like "Private Life Of".But Private use erotic description on box cover. +1 for Private!

As a man who loves women it's no surprise I fucking hate such descriptions. What's more I think it's also stupid to write such texts. Hey, I enjoy watching porn. Do I really want to hear what I watch is bad, dirty, filthy? Well I know enough people who would gladly tell that to me if that was my desire. I don't want to feel bad about my hobbies, got that?
Girls who do porn do me a favour and I admire their courage. Do I want to hear they just do that for me because they are stupid or for the money or whatever? Damn no, let me keep the fantasy they do it because they want to make me cum so bad!
I don't mean words like whore, bitch, slut or whatever. These are just rude words for girls who are willing to have sex for money or enjoy sex very much. Since I feel no contempt at all for such women these words are like talking of a cunt instead of a vagina: Not very elaborate but well I can live with it though I prefer talking about girls, babes, chicks, jailbaits (and pussy instead of cunt). Some women might say these are also degrading words but at least there's more eroticism in them.
And how could I not just love a girl whose performances make me rock hard? Better not talk disrespectful of "my" girls!!! Especially calling Bella Donna worthless and mocking her for the gap between her teeth hurt me personally. Whoever wrote that shit: If you don't like her looks, don't hire her for your movie but go buying a minimal amount of taste and maybe a clue or two instead.
I don't think anybody here would like to censor any specific words (I hope not), I am personally so foul-mouthed in my every day speech, I usually don't know that I'm even cursing. I think the gist of this thread is that whole popular line of fantasy now that the girls in porn are more stupid than average "civillians", unaware of what they are doing, victims for our consumption and use. I'm sure that the vast majority of the industry is going to continue using degrading language, scenarios, etc. Which is good, because it will help me to filter out companies that I don't want to give my money to.
This sort of language could actually stop me from buying the movie. It would lead me to expect that the movie might contain humiliation or degradation scenes. That is such a total wood-killer that I would not buy it.
I guess there must be a "misogynist market" that this material is aimed at. Men who have had bad experiences with sex in real life, or who resent the power that women have in the world. Whoever it is, it's not me.
I imagine that the average customer comes to a similar point of view when they watch a double-anal gangbang. They watch for sexually based entertainment, not because they consider each woman a person. I do agree with most of the other comments, but having worked in a adult video store, I am pretty sure most customers are able to put aside their reservations about the text of the copy and watch.
Neither does your average frat-boy/loud drunk customer of strip club think highly of strippers. You will stand out as a customer if you are reasonably polite. Kind of a sad statement that politeness will set you apart, but there you go. Useful if you frequent a place.
Well, it a marketing angle - the boxcover! It really is what the customer looks at for like 1 minute or more to decide if he or she wants to view, buy the video. So the more you can peak that persons interest the more it will win over the competitition.
Today the majority of the customers seem to prefer the rough, degradation type scenes and the box better show it without getting in trouble by the government.
So whatever! is the expression I guess to sum up the boxcover art piece to entice the buyers!
Thanks BSD and others too -- I'm just genuinely curious about the language thing. Somehow to me the text that cris posted speaks of hate, contempt, a supposition of self hatred and loathing. I can't remember a time when any of those emotional states made me horny. It's not erotic, it's not sexy, it's not naughty, titillating or cute, it's not amusing, I don't imagine it's accurate, it's not even filthy, what the fuck is it? Some kind of contempt for the viewer? "The best we could do was get these dumb fucks to screw on video for you. And you're a dumb fuck because you bought/rented it. Enjoy."
Blech.
Anyone who says "It's just porn" can expect a severe Chinese Burn from me.
I love the smell of chinese burn in the morning , smells like ... washing up time !
If a girl doesn't value what she's got then it can't be any big deal for her to show it on screen , right ? For myself it's more interesting to watch people who give the impression that they are sharing something with you which is actually important to them . That's why I'm always on the look out for classy women (Julia Ann , Monica Roccaforte , Sophie Evans , etc ) and avoid the 'whore' lines . And if anyone feels the need to point out how delussional I am , and that these girls only do it for the money , I know that . Working for the money doesn't mean you can't take some pride in what you do . It's not a crime , ya know .

1. I don't read box cover text copy. I can't imagine why I should.
2. To answer Loraine, the comments discussed in this thread do not excite me the least.
3. Au contraire, the comments do remind me of a future X-RAY quote I fully agree with: "I simply can't get it how someone comes up with the idea to place a pic of a shit heap right next to a women and ask whos the real piece of shit. the answer is obvious anyway: the webmaster!"
Sir Noel Plum said: "It's amazing to think that all the best legs belong to famous people; what are the chances of that eh 100 billion to one maybe?"
Loraine is exactly right - This kind of boxcover suggests that the producers think we're stupid. And I don't buy stuff from people who think I'm stupid.
I'll chime in here & add my support to those who wouldn't buy such a title. I don't talk/think that way & I wouldn't want someone browsing through the collection to think that I do (while it isn't out for the kids to thumb through, there are a few friends who know about it & occasionally borrow a couple of movies for their own viewing).
Also I can't imagine asking Mrs. RT what she wanted to watch that night: "Do you want to watch 'Euphoria', 'Fashionistas', 'Debby Does Dallas' or 'A Cumsucking Whore Named Tricia Deveraux'?" . She would probably say something along the lines of that doesn't sound like who we met in Vegas & wonder why in the hell I was buying such crap (although I have heard that the video itself is quite good).
All I can think is that such titles/box cover copy would only hurt sales rather than enticing people to buy. I'm sure that there is a market for such but, judging from the responses here, the share that they are turning off is greater.
First, in my experience, most girls don't know or care what the title of the video is as long as they get paid. The ones that do care are positioning themselves for a potential contract or other business opportunity.
Two, even though a very unscientific sample of most posters in this thread are turned off by the the titles or text, most are aware of it. Human curiousity often gets the best of us. Even though we find something offensive, it's very nature of being provocative makes it impossible to resist. Remember the statistics that Howard Stern haters listened longer than his fans because, "they wanted to know what he would say next."
I don't like or appreciate these kind of rude tactics, but I suspect they are effective and not going to go away.
For the record, Maxstretch has not and will not use them.
I enjoy lively and dirty language but, no, and I think you can get away with a lot and still have it be positive (she's a HAPPY cumbucket! well, OK, aren't we ALL?), but where I no longe cringe but just sigh is the complete "she's a stupid cunt, let's ram our cocks down her throat and piss on her, blah blah blah," which 1) the web guy or boxcover copy typist knows is just ignorant and redundant blather, and 2) you can bet a lot of the girls are generally blase or even think it's funny in an idiotic way, so 3) it basically panders to certain fans expectations of what porn really is about, which is about making socially inept losers feel better about their hatred of women who won't suck their puny dicks. Which means, ultimately, it's not the gap-toothed anal whore who is being degraded -- she got paid and she probably could care less, she'll never even see the movie -- and it's not the producer, though I have to wonder what his 6-year-old daughter will think of Dad one day. (I can see the wedding toast now: "I never dreamed that my precious would grow up into the gap-toothed slut she is today. I want to cry ..."). It's the fans who eat this shit up.
