One of the most frustrating things collecting adult DVD's is finding a scene you absolutely must have only to discover the DVD has been discontinued, I know some will argue just download the scene at a video on demand site but I'm old fashioned, I prefer a physical DVD with box and artwork to add to my bookshelf instead of a digital copy that lives in my hard drive, it can be very rewarding to find a video you've been after for many years and the story how one eventually acquires through luck and perseverance is my reason for this topic, if anyone else has an interesting story to tell please by all means say it here, I'm quite interested reading your story.
This first DVD I just received yesterday is one I became aware of several years ago by someone who requested it on another forum that is now defunct, the person was looking for a Viv Thomas DVD titled "Jo's Sexy College Diaries" which I thought was a very well known DVD at the time still available almost everywhere you look my reply was to the individual, but this person responded with information that totally shocked me, they were very well aware of the Jo's Sexy College Diaries I was referring too, but there's another Jo's Sexy College Diaries that is totally different!
US version of Jo's Sexy College Diaries
The person went on to explain there is a scene starring Jo (Monica Sweet) and Cameron Cruise in this particular DVD that I knew was not in the Jo's Sexy College Diaries that I was familiar with, which set off on my part a quest to discover this as yet unknown DVD, it took a while but eventually I began to see traces and fragments and shadows of this mysterious scene between Jo and Cameron.
Finally after some period of time I came across an image of the new Jo's Sexy College Diaries, I couldn't believe such a DVD had escaped my attention!
Of course the problem now is this DVD is long out of print, I can't even find a copy of it on some of the most popular aftermarket sites, I put it on the back burner of DVD's I would look out for in the future, every once in a while I would post on Twitter or other sites a request for this DVD over the years with no success, until quite by accident just the other day I came across this google image
By someone on Twitter of all places, clicking the link I discovered this posting was an offer to purchase the DVD on Amazon and was made last month! Frantically I searched the Amazon link provided thinking it was probably already sold, it was still available but the image on Amazon was of the other Jo's Sexy College Diaries I already have and began to suspect the Twitter posting was a fluke, contacting the seller he assured me the DVD on Amazon was indeed the one he posted on Twitter.
Paid 65 bucks which I thought was a bargain considering how rare the item is, one thing that concerned me while awaiting it's arrival I noticed on a screen grab of the Jo & Cameron scene a fairly large watermark, I was hoping and praying the DVD did not have that watermark because I absolutely hate watermarks! It doesn't have the watermark hallelujah!
Another crazy thing it's in PAL format, much better than NTSC, And in the US, unbelievable! Apparently the video was aired on Playboy TV in the UK originally which also became available on DVD that was only sold in the UK I presume, of course I asked the person if he had more VT titles like this, he had but they were the usual run of the mill you find everywhere, nothing like this Playboy TV version.
Jo is of course the main attraction of the movie in which she stars in 6 lesbian scenes and one what looks like a promotional interview type solo scene that turned out really fantastic, a ton of footage I've never seen before, the entire video is about 2 hours and 15 minutes long just crazy! All of the footage is new to me, now I'm searching for more Playboy TV DVD's out there if there are any.
I hope you find this interesting, there are many interesting finds similar to this I plan to post more of in this topic, I have no idea what became of the person who originally inquired about this video, I owe him a debt of gratitude, I hope he finds this topic, it was at LezLove Video forum that is now kaput sadly.
"Ball At Satans Place" was a DVD it took some effort to retrieve, There's a lesbian scene that is an all time classic in this film, discovered while browsing some tube site, (You've probably seen it too!) of course there was no information attributed to the scene typical for tube sites so one has to do an extensive amount of research to discover where the scene originated, don't believe I even knew of the studio SP Company at the time, in fact while researching the lesbian scene is probably how I learned of the existence of this Russian company.
Of course by the time I discovered this DVD you guessed it, OOP! No copies available anywhere so your left with posting requests on forums and social media sites with of course no response for years, there was very little information about this DVD and the SP Company itself I don't believe existed anymore' I'd given up hope ever finding this gem but fate had other plans!
The image from eBay
Just before eBay ended sales of adult content in about June 2020 I couldn't believe my eyes when I chanced upon this image, I contacted the seller to confirm what I was seeing was actually true, a PAL version of Ball at Satans place on eBay! Of course I snatched it up right away and was still questioning weather it really was a genuine and original Ball at Satans Place DVD or a forgery, the person explained he received a batch of DVD's from the estate of a diseased individual is how he managed to come across the DVD, in that respect I then assumed it was probably the genuine article and not a forgery, it was after receiving the article and putting it in my computer when I then confirmed with 100% certainty it was the real deal, so after many years I finally had the mysterious lesbian scene in crystal clear PAL format I discovered on some tube site, but one draw back no case or artwork unfortunately.
Interesting post. Going from memory the lezlovevideo US versions of early Viv Thomas DVD were explicit edits to suit at the time the US market with the pace of the scenes. One of the Sandy Babe Abroads was edited as well if I remember. After a few releases both the Lezlovevideo and Viv Thomas matched with identical longer versions. It is worth checking if you have anymore lezlovevideo Viv Thomas and compare them to the Vivthomas DVD euro product.
Thank you for that information and compliment, I remember the earliest Viv Thomas videos were soft core, there was total nudity and sex but no genitalia, I distinctly remember it was the lezlove people who got Viv to "uncensor" scenes as you say for the US market, in fact I think the first of the explicit videos were sold exclusively by lezlovevideo, it was the collaboration between LLV and VT where it all really began for this massive franchise VT became.
In the early 00's I was not familiar with PAL or NTSC formats, did not understand the difference, didn't know there was a difference with European and US standards with respect to TV broadcast and so forth, it was the US version of Viv Thomas DVD's that I realized something was amiss, Viv Thomas DVD's had absolutely horrible image quality, I thought it was really unbecoming for a studio as impressive as VT to distribute such a poor quality product, I stopped buying them to be honest, can't remember what film or when it was but somehow I managed to get a PAL version of the same NTSC video I had and comparing the two the difference was night and day, image quality was far superior with PAL, that's when it dawned on me US videos were remastered from native European PAL format to NTSC US standard to be able to play on US DVD players, unfortunately this process ruins picture quality, it was a huge revelation, of course I wanted to replace all of my NTSC videos with PAL but by the time I figured this out many PAL DVD's from Europe were already extinct! manged to get a few of them though like Pink Velvet 1,2 and 3 and a few others from Simply Porn in the UK.
It is the biggest pain in the ass that so many European DVD's go out of production so early, it seems like every day I find something that perks my interest from a video produced a mere 5 years ago OOP!
So back to your suggestion to compare the US vs Euro I have done that many times, the early Euro versions are much better, much better picture quality, it could've been poor reproduction by whoever lezlove or Viv hired to remaster the tapes, I have NTSC videos with pretty good resolution by Viv so it could've been a situation where they chose the lowest bidder so to speak, I have no evidence that's true or not just theorizing, but definitely the early to mid 00's European PAL Viv Thomas vids are a world better than their American Counterpart, and not just VT videos but any Euro DVD from that period has far superior picture quality in PAL, also I should point out, PAL DVD's play perfectly fine on a computer, computer doesn't know the difference between PAL & NTSC, I havn't used a DVD player since the 90's!
Here's a screen grab comparison of Ella from Pink Velvet 2, PAL vs NTSC
Another great eBay find was this super rare unheard of amateur DVD titled "Horny Girls Lesbian Lovers" released 2003 by International Amateur Adult Video, never heard of them before, great picture quality.
There's 6 scenes my favorite is scene 2 starring Madison Avenue & Destiny, unfortunately it's only about 12 to 13 minutes long, don't have much information on either model but they seem like they've done this before, they appear very comfortable performing on camera and eager to do so.
I love amateur scenes like this because the models haven't picked up any bad habits like old porn pros, the director doesn't say, hey girls scream at the top of your lungs and jump around like you've got ants in your pants which is 99% of American porn today, and also no toys make an appearance.
This scene may not be everyone's cup of tea but what I look for mostly in a porn film is camera placement and spontaneity by the girls, the guy did a good job with the camera and the girls acted normal and natural, no fake boobs or anything like that, but the best part I actually have the DVD instead of some mere blurry mpeg downloaded off the internet! https://straight.aebn.com/straight/movies/39220/horny-girls-lesbian-lovers
BTW I received this DVD from the same person that sold me "Ball at Satans Place" that guy had an amazing treasure trove of rare out of print DVD's on eBay, it's really a damn shame eBay cancelled sales of adult content, I'll never forgive the fucking ass hole who made that decision, I used to go there every 5 minutes looking for stuff! Now I go here every 5 minutes looking "at" stuff!
Been looking for this one for years to no avail. "Buried Treasure" from Wicked Pictures (2000). The last scene with Juli Ashton, Shaena Steele, and Dale Dabone was one of the hottest threesomes I've ever seen
eBay stopping adult dvd sales was a blow for finding out of print dvds. Around 15% of porn produced in the 90s to early 2000s is out of print unable to be found via DVD sales or VOD.
Buried treasure is very surprising not to be anywhere considering the cast and produced by Wicked in 2000. Not even the scenes on any compilation DVDs.
With digital now the main platform be interesting to see how much is lost in the next 20 years. Already some scenes from high profile companies 7-8 years back have been lost.
That one seems to be lost in the abyss! Not even a hint of a box cover can be found other than the information by IAFD, I've encountered videos like this that any trace or mention of them have disappeared and makes you wonder was there an issue like age verification of one of the models or someone issued a cease and desist order for some reason, definitely looks like someone doesn't want this video in circulation the way it just vanished off the face of the earth like that!
eBay would've been my first choice looking for Buried Treasure, the irony of that title LOL! If you weren't a super collector back in the 90's and early 00's, like most of us who picked up certain videos that perked our interest at the moment not realizing so many would disappear within 5 to 10 years, we may have made a more concerted effort to acquire as many as financially possible, the disappearance of so many titles kind of blindsided me, and not just videos but entire companies came and went so fast if you blinked your eye you missed them!
There was a video I wanted so badly I literally looked on Ebay every single day for years expecting it to pop up any moment which never happened, amazingly that video did appear in digital form at Hotmovies, but the Hotmovies version of course didn't include the case and artwork, and has poor image quality compared to the actual DVD.
Had smashing success at eBay several times over the years but since they ended adult sales I'll have nothing to do with them, not even for non adult items, we need an adult only eBay like enterprise here in the US, something like Jeedoo.
ADM is very good but is lacking when it comes to older hard to find European titles, especially PAL formatted DVD's, they just don't exist there.
That is quite common for VHS releases that never made it to DVD. That film is 24 years old now. Stores like Gamelink ceased carrying VHS eons ago. You aren't likely to find any hint of a boxcover these days. With more and more VOD platforms, a lot of these old VHS only titles are going to streaming. When they go up, quite often it is the VHS cover presented on the VOD site for it.
That is because ADM is a United States of America based store. Most USA based stores don't carry PAL. For PAL you should be looking at used stores in Europe, like Jeedoo.com.
I've purchased many PAL DVD's from Europe over the years, but never from Jeedoo because when I attempted to sign up for them several years ago the page just kept refreshing, I couldn't sign up to the site, I couldn't order anything, it really pissed me off I thought this must be some kind of scam site, but I have noticed AdultDVDTalk seems it's ok, I guess I should try to sign up again then, have you ordered anything from them, if so just curious how was your experience?
I've ordered many discs from them since 2018. It is the same deal as ADM, the discs are being sold by a third party. I've never had a problem. I don't know where you live, but most sellers ship just the disc and artwork to the USA.
I've managed to find some older rare dvds from xjuggler, a german site: https://www.xjuggler.de/ They have a lot of older stuff, used and new. I think they might be connected to jeedoo, it works the same way, the discs are being sold by a third party. They also have some original vhs for sale. The site is only in german, but if you use chrome browser it's easy to translate whole pages to english. I never had any problems ordering from them.
^Thank you Fash and Videofan, I'm aware of xjuggler, I'll definitely try to sign up with both sites now after reading your input, looking forward to finding some OOP gold!
Girls Gone Wild produced some very good explicit content to my surprise, the best was the early to mid 2000's, the 4/3 era before widescreen, originally I thought GGW DVD's were merely soft core boob flashing until I discovered a video clip someone posted on a forum of an explicit lesbian scene in one of the GGW videos, the two babes were going at it like no tomorrow, it was exactly what I'd been looking for, unscripted, spontaneous, starring an amazing gorgeous blonde and a brunette built like a shit brick house, they appeared to be drunk off their ass and genuinely attracted to each other, the sex was real and I had to find out like my life depended on it what and where could I find this scene, thankfully back then and I believe it was something like 2008, kind of right when the tube sites began to appear, there was some place I found where virtually every GGW video had been uploaded albeit very poor quality, basically I could scan the videos to determine what movie the scene was from which I did thankfully, it was "Coed Tryouts 1" or "Coed Sex-Tryouts 1"
Back then the best place I could find to purchase aftermarket GGW DVD's was Amazon believe it or not, they had just about everything I was looking for, buying directly from Girls Gone Wild was already out of the question, they sold out like hot cakes! Scanning the free site horrible quality and all I would determine which ones looked the best to purchase, they were a dime a dozen, now that I think about it should've just bought every one of um, just before eBay shut down someone was selling a huge collection, boxes and boxes piled on racks, I didn't get them Dammit! But I have a bunch none the less that I got Piecemeal from Amazon and a few from eBay, all the ones I thought had a decent lesbian scene, never had so much fun in my life collecting OOP DVD's, every one when they arrived in the mail was like a little treasure box full of excitement and joy, there was the usual boob flashing and fun but the lesbian scenes were the meat and potatoes, many of the scenes feature models you've never seen before or since, but some were on their way to stardom like Jayme Langford and Alexandra Ivy in "All New College Girls Exposed 4"
Not a big fan of the later GGW titles, primarily the wide screen era, they don't have that raw unscripted spontaneity like the pre-widescreen days, too flamboyant, too vulgar, it doesn't have that sense of realism anymore, the camera guy does talk a bit in the older ones but he keeps it to a minimum for the most part, I mean after all its Girls Gone Wild!
The absolute best GGW video of them all is Girls Gone Wild "Girl Power 8" hard to find even before 2010! When I discovered the lesbian scene in that one I scoured the internet for eternity to find it, you can't even find a picture of the box cover anywhere hardly, but you can find the scene posted all over the place, I recognize it a mile away when I see it, it's absolutely amazing, the models are true amateurs, never saw them before or after this film, their goal in life is to be on Girls Gone Wild, they don't care at all in this moment the camera is watching them, it is euphoric! Of the thousands of lesbian scenes I've seen this one is in the top 10 definitely.
They say their names are Christine and Jordan who I'm sure are in their early 40's by now, at least I hope so.
There's two scenes, a shower then bedroom, that's what makes this DVD so good, the shower scene is hot as Hell, the bedroom scene is super hot, about 30 minutes total.
They leave the shower and head to the hotel bedroom, absolutely amazing what's to follow!
Back in the day used to have a few of these Girls Gone Wild DVDs. Some of the girl power ones and extreme orgy which were separate g/g couples scenes as well had some good scenes between them all. Similar to Sky Slumber party and the films following by Shanes World productions in how they were shot with amateur/Pro-Am performers.
Shane's World was really fantastic and another was Dreamgirls very similar to GGW filming Spring Break and Mardi Gras locations, I love the girls with 50 pounds of beads around their necks, what have they been up too? How did they get all those beeds?
A few years ago I purchased a magazine I thought had an interesting cover...
I'd become interested with the sight of lesbians sucking double headed dildos for some reason so when I stumbled on this mag I had to have it, I don't believe there's another mag in existence with a cover like this!
The photo set originated from the site DDF Network or 1By-Day not sure which back in 2003, I downloaded it years ago from Sapphic Erotica but had forgotten about it until researching this scene.
What's intriguing about all this is recently I discovered there's an actual corresponding video to go along with this photo set that I amazingly found on DVD "Curves XXX 8"
Found the DVD at ADM and after purchasing the listing is no longer available, so I got the last one apparently.
After watching the DVD on my computer I noticed something I'm really not too fond of that has to do with converting 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9, unfortunately this process distorts and ruins picture quality, the film was shot in 02 or 03 so of course it's native resolution is most likely European 72 hex 576 PAL, the entire conversion process ruins everything converting from 72 hex 576 PAL to 72 hex 480 NTSC, then from standard resolution to widescreen, ideally I would love to find this scene on an original PAL DVD, I have no idea if one was ever made, but I did convert the video back to 4:3 using my handy video editing software, the distortion is gone but the image quality is pretty bad!
widescreen
standard
So as you can see the standard is more tolerable even with fairly poor image quality, be on the lookout for this scene on PAL DVD and please report back, thank you very much.
I just found this post via Google. Congrats on the find - I have been looking for this title for years to no avail!!! It may have been myself you spoke to on LLV - I did have an account but it's so long ago I can't remember! :)
Hey, just noticed your tweets, when I started this thread I was basically casting my line out into the water seeing what I may catch, hoping to get a response, and by gosh you maybe the one who enquired about the Playboy uncut DVD!
When I finally had the title in my posession I did feel a bit of grief for my fellow collector who while inquiring about the title was merely asking the fox to guard the hen house you know what I mean LOL!
But seriously I had no way of contacting you after the collapse of LLV, I'm assuming it was about 2018'sh when you asked about the title, does that sound about right? It is certainly one of the greatest DVD'S I've ever run across, I would be very very hard pressed to part ways with it, unless you have something extraordinary I've been after, maybe we could work out an agreement to "borrow" one and others DVD's like the way museums loan artifacts.
Maybe someone out there will read this and say oh yeah I've got 5 or 6 of those laying around in the attic, I'll send one right away, that's the purpose of these posts is to get the word out!
^ ebonyCreampielover made several posts looking to buy a DVD, which broke the don't post the same thing in multiple threads rule and since they were looking to buy their post belongs in Shopping.
Ok so a few month's ago we had a conversation here about some problems I had with signing up to Jeedoo, as well as Xjuggler, years earlier after several attempts I gave up with Jeedoo because whenever I filled out the required info to sign up then hit the send button it would just flash back to the home screen, I thought it was a scam or something and gave up, I don't know what the Hell was going on but it wasn't the end of the world, there were numerous dvd sites to choose from at the time most notably eBay which I found great success over the years, but unfortunately some goody two shoes took over and ruined what was possibly the greatest archive of second hand hard to find DVD's and magazines the world had ever seen!
After a couple years without eBay to feed my cravings (addiction) to finding oop dvd's and all the traditional dvd sites were beginning to dry up, I tried Jeedoo again at the recommendation of several members here and this time it worked! after some initial problems with Xjuggler their staff helped me and over the last several days began receiving my first deliveries from them, I am eternally grateful for the help by members here.
Those who say DVD's are a thing of the past I beg to differ, maybe the near future DVD's will finally faze out just like VHS, but DVD's carry more information than your standard download, they have lots of music for one thing, often have previews of upcoming videos that I find very helpful, especially older DVD's where often there's previews of video I've never heard of!
Had some amazing success with Jeedoo since I joined, they and Xjuggler have finally quenched my thirst for hard to find, rare and oop video, especially European PAL versions of video I had originally purchased in substandard NTSC format.
It would be nice if people could share their experiences of jeedoo and xjuggler - good sellers and bad sellers, risk of buying boots etc. I'm very wary of buying what appear to be European PAL format DVDs and finding I've been sent the NTSC version which often isn't as good.
Some may not realize if you remove the cover of a dvd sometimes there's a really nice poster on the back!
Orders shipped from Europe to the US will most often ship without the jewel case per request of the seller, but the art (cover) and dvd in a sleeve will be sent, they do this to save packaging weight and space, but also I understand the package is less likely to be opened (inspected) by customs shipped in this way, don't know if that's 100% true or not, but I have had packages opened, once while tracking an order from overseas, the order arrived in the US, then back to Europe, and back to the US again! Don't know how often this happens, I feared it was inspected by customs who after seeing half a dozen porn DVD's inside thought it was illegal contraband and sent it back, then black SUV's would be pulling up my driveway soon thereafter! But it finally arrived safe and sound, and no black SUV's!
Used DVD's often ship with jewel case, like those purchased from Jeedoo or xJuggler.
Because of the covers being removed from the jewel cases I was able to discover the beautiful posters on the back, maybe you already knew this, but it was totally new to me.
Here's a few examples of the back of the cover, some of it is worth framing if you ask me! First up, "Sex Tapes" presenting Jo & Eve Angel by Viv Thomas This is what you see wrapped around the box. And this is the back of the cover that you won't see unless you remove it from the case.
"Hot Pants Babydolls" Viv Thomas
"Girls Get Down to It" by Abby Winters, I love Taylor Sands!
One more, "I Dream of Jo, True Passion" and I love JO!
Bella, this is a rare thread where I have no specific interest* but still find it a fascinating thread to read. I enjoy reading your (and others) tales of hunting for obscure DVDs and getting the occasional big score as your reward.
* To clarify, I may not share your hunt for DVDs, but that's because I really can't collect DVDs these days. I have limited storage space. But I get the draw to having physical media. While Spotify gives me inexpensive access to a range of music that I couldn't have even dreamed about when I started getting into music in the late 70s, I still miss the thrill of getting a new album and poring over the album art and liner notes as I listened to the album for the first time. DVDs are no different.
One thing we do share is the hunt for scenes from long-forgotten movies. My hunt is a lot easier because I'm willing to get digital copies. My VHS collection was relatively small (due to the large size of the media) and over the years I've been able to find around 75% of the scenes that I remember. And if I still remember them, they were important to me. I've had a bit better luck with titles originally on DVD, but that stands to reason since they are newer titles and were in digital format already. I've probably only been able to find less than half of what I'd like to find, but that's because my DVD collection was much larger (300-400 DVDs) and while I remember some scenes, sometimes I can't remember details that would allow me to find a VOD. But I still have the occasional disappointment in learning that a movie is lost to the mists of time. There is one scene with Tammi Ann, for example, that I have but that I'd like to have the whole movie. It's no longer available.
This isn't about the hunt, so much as it is about the capture. Over Christmas I took a membership to Bang.com, a site I've subscribed to many times in the past. While they're known for their original scenes, they also have a HUGE selection of older movies. I've done a shallow dive into that collection in the past, but over Christmas I spent a lot of time doing a deeper and more methodical dive into it. I methodically started back with the oldest uploads and worked my way forward, opening movies that interested me. Many were from series' I knew. I had my collection list open so I could make sure I didn't already have that movie (I had around 50% of what interested me) and if needed, I'd cross-reference them on IAFD. I only made it to page 725. With new uploads being added daily, I probably now have 730 pages to go through yet. That's 'only' 26,000 movies. That shouldn't take me too long. Maybe three years or so. That's not entirely true, because at some point, the Bang collection runs out of 'classic' DVDs and starts uploading a lot of European stuff I'm not interested in. Still, I'm planning to renew my Bang membership and get back to work. I like being able to fill gaps in my collection. With a specific series, I might be missing a few editions and might find them here. I have models from that era I still look for. Like you, while it's a lot of work, it's a big part of the fun of being a collector.
Finally, I share the opinions on the earlier Girls Gone Wild DVDs. Some of those were fantastic. I loved the spontaneity. Yes, I know there may be some ethical issues, but that didn't enter my mind as two college friends, primed with alcohol, decided to give in to their lesbian urges in front of a camera.
Sorry rearadmiral for taking so long to respond to your well written and informative post, had to take time off here for personal issues, anyway I hear you on the Bang website, I was a member there too for about a year and your right, they have one of the best collections of vintage material I've ever seen, I found a number of films who's videos originally were on VHS that were never converted to DVD and finding the VHS is impossible, picture quality wasn't great but was happy to download the scenes I was after even with bad image quality, one of the best sites I've ever subscribed to.
As far as storage space, I burn everything to hard drive, I use the WD SSD portable hard drives, about the size of a cigarette pack, when I first began using them they had a maximum storage space of about 1 TB, now there up to about 8 TB, I have a bunch of 4 TB ones, they take up very little space, all my DVD's I keep in lockable filing cabinets, out of view, out of mind, once I burn DVD's to HD I never touch them again, and all the video I download of course goes into the hard drives, very easy to access everything, just the click of the mouse I can access every video I have, which is in the thousands!
Had smashing success the last year finding out of print DVD's at Jeedoo and a few at xjuggler, unfortunately xjuggler seems to have lost they're payment processor for credit cards from the US, I did manage to contact the seller a few times and purchase directly from them using paypal, now what I do is if I find something on xjuggler, I search for the item on Jeedoo and very often it's there too, some of these sellers have offered to act as a go between, if I find something they will offer to get the item for me and pay using paypal, saved my butt a number of times.
I am an collector. My collection contains 600 plus dvds. Mostly Swedish, Wicked Pictures, Digital Playground, Private DVDs.
But there are some studios and other series that gain my interest. At the moment I am buying collectors DVDs with lots of extra material. Mostly buying stuff from Jeedoo
