...it defaults to yahoo search. I hate that shit. How do I get rid of it?

I don't think it's a Firefox issue; I think your ISP is sending you that page.

I had a similar issue. I thought I tracked it down to a registry entry (because I get MSN), but didn't seem to work. I agree, it's probably your ISP making a penny every time you hit it.
