Last Saturday I filled in the online help form from Five Star DVD asking help to adjust my billing info (I got a new creditcard and I wanted to put that info on my account) because I could not find a way to do that myself but it's Wednesday now and still no reply from them. I don't understand this. I'm thinking of cancelling my pending order because of this.

I have to say, Ramsey, that it seems like you're overreacting here just a tad. I imagine you've posted here in order to get a fast reply, but I'd certainly have emailed them directly to ask what the story is.

Sometimes it can even be easier to just telephone a store to ask what the story is, sure it might cost a dollar or two but you get your answer right away. Their Details. And I also recognise that you "shouldn't have to" ring them to find out an answer, but hey, sometimes you do what you have to do.

Finally, bear in mind that in Holland, you're 8 hours ahead of Arizona where Fivestar is located, so chances are (due to the time difference + weekend) the absolute earliest they'd see your note from your Sat would be on your Tuesday AM (their Monday), and that as I type it's not even 5:30am Wednesday for them, which means they've taken more then 2 business days to reply, which is not ideal, but also not super bad either...

..which is when I really want a fast answer from a US company, I ring 'em.

Really though, I recommend you send them an email first, and take into account things like weekends and timezone differences. Posts like this this quickly and with no followup (mentioned) don't really help anyone.

I haven't personally bought anything from Fivestar in quite awhile, but their CS was always exemplary, and they also have a good CS rep from most other customers here, so I'd err on the side of caution before publically complaining about them so quickly over something this small.

Sorry I was long-winded there, but I thought there were some points definately worth mentioning..

cheers,

scipio
