I've been collecting both adult vids and DVD's for quite some time now and I've gone thru many different mail-order and online companies over the years, but so far one of the absolute best I've found is Five Star DVD from Tempe AZ. They offer a nice selection of every type of adult genres from all the leading studios, and at very low prices to boot. In fact, I've been quite surprized just how low their prices have been on many top-rated porn DVD's! And another thing I just luv is that they also have an outstanding customer service ready to help out with any questions or problems - not like others who are either too stupid or too rude to be of any help whatsoever. So as you can probably tell, I highly recommend Five Star DVD to all here and I'm sure many will be very satisfied with their products and services just as I am!

This is what I cut from the Five Star DVD website, and pasted here:

International service is NOT guaranteed. This means that if the package is lost, arrives damaged, or vandalized Five Star DVD will NOT send you a replacement order at no cost to you. In order for Five Star DVD to replace your order for these reasons, the post office must confirm a non-delivery, and damaged product must be returned to Five Star DVD. Five Star DVD will charge you any additional shipping costs due to delivery errors resulting from incorrect customer shipping addresses. Five Star DVD bills customers for international orders prior to shipment. International orders will be shipped after payment is confirmed. Customers may cancel orders that have not shipped. Five Star DVD does not offer free shipping on international orders.

Customs Information

You may be subject to import duties and taxes for any orders placed through Five Star DVD. You are responsible for any additional customs clearance fees and taxes. Five Star DVD will indicate the contents of the package as DVD Software and state the full cost of the invoice on the shipping documents. Five Star DVD has no control over these additional charges and cannot predict what they may be. You should contact your local customs office for additional information. The recipient's name is indicated as the importer of record for any pertinent shipping documents. The importer of record is responsible for the shipment and must comply with all regulations and laws for the country in which you are receiving the goods. Many countries do not allow importation of the products sold at Five Star DVD. If your order is seized in customs due to violation of any laws Five Star DVD will not refund the cost of your order or shipping charges.

List of countries:

Five Star DVD currently ships to the following countries. Our list of countries is always growing.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Finland, France (including Monaco), Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Kenya, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Uruguay, Venezuela

Asmodeus- Thanks for the kind words! It’s always great to hear from another happy customer.

Funclub69 & BigMike - I’d like to clarify something that may be causing some confusion. Although we do have a posted policy regarding missing packages, each situation is handled on a case-by-case basis. We try to be as flexible as possible when dealing with these issues. In the Shopping Forums here you will find many customer reports indicating that we make a big effort to resolve any problems including lost shipments.

Hey Ken- when is Five Star going to drop the current promotion? I have been waiting for something new-such as the "12.00 off a 100.00 order" for MONTHS now! Five Star is still one of my favorites.

No problem, Ken! Always glad to be of service to help spread the word about your awesome company. But one suggestion if I may - how about offering any DVD(s) available at your site as a free gift for ordering a certain amount of merchandise instead of the very limited selection you currently have in your Treasure Chest? Say that for every 4 or 5 DVD's ordered, you get a free one of your choice and so forth. I think that would please alot more folks ordering from you if they were able to choose any title they might want if they were to place a big order. Just something to ponder I guess in continuing to provide the best service and keep all your customers very happy. Anyway, please do keep up the excellent work as always!

Here is another vote to drop the current promotion. I used to order from FiveStar regularly. I have not purchased from them since the treasure chest promotion started. Please go back to offering some coupons.

hey all,

I agree with you all about how fivestar is a great service. I've ordered from them 5 times or so, all of them went well. When there was a problem (not their fault), they sorted it out and fixed it. I've ordered adult dvds only from fivestar only because I felt no need to change companies. They've always been great.

As for the treasure chest, I've asked if I could trade my two free DVDs from my order for a NuTech title and they kindly responded that they couldn't do that at this time. Kinda sucks, but still, it is a business. I did love the coupons more than the treasure chest though. Then at least I could have possibly received another title that I wanted with the savings.

Great company though. Good prices to go with the great service. Can't really complain :)

Unlike Clay and rojo, I'm actually a big fan of the current promotion, It's basically something for nothing, and even at the worst of times there's 1 or 2 things that are quite reasonable, especially for nothing but the cost of shipping.

The only thing that I could see keeping us all happy, and I'm not sure if it's possible to implement, would be something along the lines of adding "$10 off $100" as an "option" where the choices are to pick the free items. That way everyone who orders can get their own way, so to speak. In effect the coupon would take the place of the freebies on an optional basis?

Of course a drawback of that, is that you may then get some people looking at the retail value of the freebies and comparing that to the value of the coupon and bitching on that basis. Not understanding that $10 cash is probably their cost for 2-4 of the freebie titles anyway...

Not you guys, (Clay/rojo) -just trying to figure out the negatives to my idea....

Well, regardless, I'm quite happy with fivestar as it stands at the moment.

cheers,

scipio
