However I can`t wait to take advantage of the offer that fivestardvd.com are doing with ordering 4 Dvds with postage free, just wanted to here of anyone in the UK who has took advantage of this offer and has recvd it OK, no problems with customs etc. Thanks, I`ve only managed to have a quick look around the site but it looks great, and the members seem really helpful. However we recently made a large price drop on international shipping and the rates are much more attractive. Also keep in mind the Kickback program which allows you to receive a 5% rebate. Oh, and these "hardcore" videos aren't available through the mail, or through normal video shops, they're only available through licensed sex shops (which are run by one of the shadiest companies imaginable and who do 200% markups when they spot a mug). Fortunately, Britain has finally introduced a Human Rights Act which includes a freedom of expression clause, and it's under this that we can import porn into the UK, but Customs still like to try it on. | stolt Member Essex, UK 18 Posts 2/01 | Posted - Mar 5 2001 : 1:53PM I`m sorry to change the subject back to 5star but I have just recvd 6 discs from ADN, (got thru customs no problem) I was just wondering why 5star can`t use the same shipping method, I`m particulary worried after JMO mentioned that the order should be kept below £18.00 inc postage, I have made my order with 5star and the disc alone is £20.00, does this mean that it stands no chance of getting thru customs, especially as 5star mark their packages up as Dvd software and also value them aswell. I appreciate that postage is more costly with ADn but I would prefer this to not recving the disc at all and anyway I would just order more discs to spread the cost out. Does anyone know if I stand any chance of recving this disc? Would be interested to hear from anyone in the UK that has ordered over the £18.00 limit and recvd there disc. This is not a slur on 5star I know they are highly regarded in these forums, just wondering why they operate a different postage policy, is it purely cost wise? Thanks Rob [Link] |

We've expirimented with many different options and so far the system we have in place works best for our customers. Here are a few of the reasons why we use our current methods. * It's very fast. It is not uncommon for our UK customers to receive their package within 4 days. Part of this is due to our location. Our warehouse is minutes away from one of the largest postal facilities in the US. We can deliver packages as late as Midnight and they will be processed immediately. The airport is very close to us as well so it's not unusual for orders to be on an aircraft within a couple of hours after being placed. * It's very economical. * There are no limits to the size of the order. * Our customers recieve the DVD case and artwork instead of the discs only. * We have had reletively few international customs problems.
