I sent an E-mail sometime yesterday requesting info on when they'd be restocking out of stock titles and I STILL haven't had a reply! Have any of you had trouble with getting responses to your E-mails to FiveStar?

You might want to give them more time to respond, under 24 hours isn't that much time.

Yep, given them more time. It's been 2 days now and still no response! All I can say is that this is no way to run a business. There's a def purchase here if they want my custom, but time's running out, as is my patients.

And on a side note, I'm a little discouraged by the fact that a large chunk of their catalogue is out of stock, whereas most of the other dealers keep their stock up.

Fivestar has their own forum at http://www.fivestardvd.com/forum/

Have you tried that? Since that is their own forum, they should notice a post there sooner than a post here.

Give it a try - can't hurt.

Thanks for that. Honestly speaking, I didn't even know they had a forum of their own. Hmm, like you said, it can't hurt, can it? I'll be back to tell you all my results.

Hi Mojo.

Our customer service department has about a 24 hour turn-around on emails. I apologize if you have yet to hear back from them.

I will make sure you receive a response today.

Thank you.

Hi Fivestar. I'd almost given up on hearing from you there! Excuse my impatience (a bad trait of mine, especially after having to deal with the innate bad service from British companies so much), 'cause I have no idea on how busy you might be. I also like to make monatary plans in advance of things like ordering as well. But hay-ho, I've now read your E-mail, and thanks a lot for the info.

On a side note, I know about the fact that you have to put the price of the goods on the outside of envelopes, but does it have to be, er, "totally accurate", if you get my drift? The thing is, I hate giving anything to our really crap and over taxing government at the best of times, without the insult of having to give even more in import duty to Gordon Brown as well. If I'm right after £18 (approx $25-$30) they tax imports through the nose. So could you let me know how your company stands (through E-mail if you like) on this matter. Are you able and willing to "bend the rules" on pricing the goods on the envelopes upon sending?

Unfortunately that's true: FiveStar customer service doesn't reply mails like few months ago.
I've sent 3 or 4 mails (for example at 19th October, 30th September, 15th September...) about mistakes in orders and still have no answer :-(

I remember Ethan, who always replied quickly and now I'm dissapointed :-(
I don't need quick answer. I would be satisfied with any answer :-/

I see your point gonzooo. I too am not impatient enough as to want a reply within the minute; within 24 hours will do. But I draw the line at waiting more than a day. Then I start getting pissed off. Ethan seems to be good, but whoever's in charge of answering the E-mails should get a talking to.

You're welcome.

Did you post there? and if you did, what happened?

I think I got a reply here before Five Star even saw my post on the Five Star forums. When I got my reply here I simply scrapped my thread on the Five Star forum, 'cause I didn't need it anymore. Good forum though, and thanks again for reminding me about it (it turned out that I'd joined it at the beginning of the year and forgot all about it!).

Hi Mojo.

We state the actual cost of all DVDs on our customs forms. This is the law. We cannot risk being banned from importing our goods into a foreign country.

Sorry.

Oh well, that's alright. By the way, good work so far on getting the titles in my wishlist.
