I usally stay away from this kind of topic as it's always a debate that gets heated! I have just a few words to say and i'll try and keep it brief.
I do believe there are some pornstars that are too skinny but for the most part i do not think there anerexic! I think too many people take small as anerexic! I myself don't like a woman super skinny but nice and toned. A perfect example is Sasha Grey who i love! She is small and skinny but she is not anerexic or unhealthy! I will say the few pics i saw of Naomi she didn't look to well. But since i have never met here i will not comment on what could be going on with her. Now Jesse Jane is one of my favorites so i want to say a few things on her since i see a few people making some comments on the way she is looking right now. I have met Jesse Jane a few times and as sexy and hot she is. She is also about the smallest person your going to meet besides Kobi Tai who i have also met in the past. She is small but she also is in shape and her body and albs are ripped! She is not unhealthy and she does not have bones hanging out! Those thoughts about her weight have surfaced before and i have asked and talked with her about it before.She is aware of this and assured me she is healthy and not under weight! I will admit she could put on a few pounds and still be as hot as ever but the way she looks now she is fine!
This is just my thoughts and opinions on this subject!

What's going on in the business??? I've never seen these girls look so awful. I remember when curves were sexy not this new trend of the junkie look. The fashion world has even taken a stand against girls being sickly and anorexic we are allowing it to happen in our industry what the hell is going on? That's it I'm putting my foot down when I shoot if you look like you are dieing I'm calling the agent right then and there to express my concern as it's just wrong. Jesse does have a small frame but wow that's just scary.
Jewel you are right on the money. i just finished watching you in the movie honeymoon heat. that ass shot of your ass with Haven face between your cheeks was as good as it gets. i would have given anything to be Haven in that scene. but i hope these women will realize there is nothing wrong with having meat on your body.being skinny is not everything. i love all women. but give me girls like Jewel and tiffany mynx anyday.

I've seen this photo before, and I'm not sure what to think.
I saw Jesse at Vegas, and she looked okay. She was doing lots and lots of signings, the red carpet for Playboy TV and other things. There have been other photos of Jesse from this year's AEE and AVN and she looked okay--for a 5' 1" girl who keeps "bikini thin."
I'm wondering if this could be photo of her when she's tired. In fact I remember reading (very quick) an article in one of the mainstream press about Jesse at this year's AEE, and that she was so busy and tired at the end of each day that she and Rich didn't go out and party.
Bottom line: I hope this is just a bad photo. If not, I agree, the folks over at Digital should have a talk with her.

For my experience in this business i have to say that the pressure its on, allot of fans may only have opinions but like mike south and jewel say you don't really know the insides of the biz of who is who and who does really what. So many of these girls get like this because people with in the industry tell them they look good like that and looking any heavier wont get them anywhere in their career. witch of course its wrong, for example i have heard it many times my self but i have never let anybody dictate to me how i should look/what i should do and not do the way i see it is..... fuck um...if somebody doesn't like the way i look, i am not about to change because of somebody having a opinion of what they think a woman should look like, but then again you have to have a strong mind to not follow what every idiot in this world thinks you should do.
P.S Just to add; problems or not because i certainly dont know if its just dieting/starving/Exercising etc., in a personal leavel jesse is an extreamly nice and caring girl.

It's no surprise that this trend has hit the porn world. It is an insidious thing that basically comes from the pop culture zeitgeist. People, usually women, who lose a lot of weight get a lot of attention for it. Rail thin girls get more work in the fashion world. Even America's Next Top Model (which I have only seen a few eps) acknowledges the problem in their show, and then continue to perpetuate it on the same show. It's ridiculous.
Of course, it's understandable that today's standard for beauty and health is smaller and more visually attractive. However, I don't understand how that changes women to the point that they develop anorexia or bulimia. How do they handle the natural and vital urge of hunger? How can they let themselves get to the point that their bones protrude and they resemble concentration camp victims? There has to be some serious mind alteration going on.
The lips is another thing altogether. I mean is there anyone who really thinks that Lara Flynn Boyle, Melanie Griffith, or Meg Ryan look better with those fish lips? Do women compliment each other on that look? How did this trend develop? I just don't get it.

this isnt an old photo of jesse it was taken at expo this year same as the naomi photo.
I think Carmen has a great point here...people tell her how good she looks out of being nice or just meaningless talk or whatever. Personally I told her that I am worried about her, she needs to gain some weight and that she looked way better a few years ago when she was curvy and feminine.
The problem is I am a lone voice or at least one of very few who will not tell her what she wants to hear but will tell her the truth. I love Jesse dearly we have been good friends for a very long time. Seeing her like this breaks my heart.
I know DP wants to help but as you all know first Jesse has to want help, I think DP is working on that and you have a shot at helping them.
whatever the problem is or isn't I hope the best for Jesse. She is weet and sincere and the only contract girl I have ever taken an interest in. I think she does the lions share of the pro work, maybe a vacation is in order.
So: yeah, this isn't the most flattering photo of Jessie. But having spent a good deal of time around her in Las Vegas last week, I don't think it's neccesarily an accurate depiction of what she looked like, never mind an indiction of any health issues she may or may not be dealing with.
I think in this particular instance it has more to due with our photographer Nikola's style: he shoots with a strong flash and doesn't retouch his subjects afterwards, so the end result may not be as pretty as some of the photos you're used to seeing. (Someone once referred to him as the Diane Arbus of NYC nightlife, which gives you a pretty good idea of his style.) And let's remember that Jessie was most definitely mugging for the camera during their shoot, bless her heart.
Compare the photo of Jessie linked above to the one here, or any of the ones taken on the red carpet at the awards last Saturday - as well as her G4TV video interview that same night. I think she looks just fine ;)

I think Jesse is too thin, but I don't think she has a problem like Naomi. Part of Jesse's problem is that her head is 26 times too big for her body. She can't help that though.

What do u guys think that pornstars are role model citizens!! I mean come on what do you think they do with all the money they make donate it all to charity or put it away for their kid's education. They go out and party every night and use drugs. I don't like sickly looking girls either (if either Jesse Jane or Naomi is sickly skinny, it's Naomi) but what do you expect these girls to do with all the money and fame they've earned. We all play a big part in the rapid success of these girls by highly anticipating their next movie, etc., and shouldn't be surprised when this stuff happens.

I disagree, there are alot of smart women in this biz compared to 10-20 years ago. Sure there are some who may battle addictions of the sort like anyone else. But to say they all go out and party and do drugs is going a little too far. Nicole Sheridan does not drink, does not go out to the bars partying for example and I am sure there are many many more who are the same. They treat the job as a way for them to make a decent living.
Now as for the topic, I never thought Jesse was too thin, I just thought she was very tiny. Most of the girls in porn seem very tiny and petite. Jesse last weekend Jesse Again

I'm sure there are a few women who aren't in a drug and alcohol daze every minute of the day, but it's common sense. Not to be an ahole but the reason most of these girls take the drugs is because it gives them confidince and helps take them out of reality. I'm not sayin all are like this only about 90%. If these girls had so much going for them I don't think that making adult movies would be their first choice for a career path. I think Naomi is a perfect example of how the business works. This girl has made so many movies in the past year, and don't try and tell me she does it because she loves getting her a** reamed every other day for a year.

OK well this ones been buggin me all weekend.
See when I got into this business I made it OK with myself so long as I treated people right and could look in the mirror and like what I see looking back. If I don't say what I am about to say I wouldn't like myself at all. That Said.
You see I didn't start this thread on a whim. I thought it out. I was asked by someone to gather emails from people asking me what the hell is wrong with Jesse. I was asked to gather then and now photos.
I was asked because the person wanting this info admitted that she knows that Jesse has a major problem, Rich, her husband knows it, and I know it. So far as I know only myself and Rich have said anything to her about it. I was hopeful that would change.
So I figured I'd post here, get some real emails from people she knows, people who aren't trying to kiss my ass or whatever. A little information from people who cared enough to take a few minutes and giver her the information she needs to confront Jesse and maybe get her some much needed help.
Jesse thinks she is hiding her problem, she isn't.
So what happens....The person who asked me for this info comes here and makes a joke about it. A joke at Jesse's expense. You see anorexia/bulemia is a really fucking funny thing. A real funny way to die. Ask Anna Carolina Weston or Karen Carpenter.
Yes its a real riot when your brain starts to shrink and you slowly start losing cognitive skills, and its even funnier when your heart shrinks and your at rest pulse falls below 45 beats per second.
Jesse doesn't know she is sick, I do, so does Adella and so does Rich. I think we all love her and want help for her.
It isn't a laughing matter to me.
There comes a time when "spin" isnt as important as intervening to save someones life, DP didn't do this to Jesse, Adella didn't do this to Jesse, maybe in some way porn had something to do with it but blame isn't going to save this little girls life.
It's time to do what's right.
Adella may lobby to have this removed, and if that's the case you will find this post on the top of my site for the next week. I welcome anyone's comments or suggestions and if there is anything I can do to help...count me in.
