In Jesse's case, though... I've seen the girl eat, and she sure as heck isn't anorexic. Thinner than what I personally find attractive... definitely. But those are definitely two different things.

Yes you have seen her eat so have I last time was a little fruit. What you don't see is what happens next.

Defending her isn't going to get her the help she needs....I love her dearly and Im not blaming Jesse or saying any mean or anything else.

I just want the people who know whats happening...really know to take a little responsibility.

She can't cure herself of this, that much I know.

I'd bet Jesse doesn't weigh 90 lbs. That Brazilian model weighed 88 when she died. only diff is she had a few more inches in height.

It'll take some more time for sure, but at this rate it will kill her.

First, as has been stated somewhere on this thread, if a girl has weight or health issues and is trying to ignore or hide it, bringing it up in a public forum may eventually get her to face the problem. Example: mainstream celeb Nicole Richie went for months and months (years?) denying she was under-weight...and NOT TAKING ANY ACTION. But, eventually, after many, many people said in public and in print that they thought she was too thin, she is now addressing the problem--and putting on a few pounds.

Second, as fans and consumers of porn: if there's something that's going on in the biz (like companies or directors who advise thin girls to continue to lose weight, or will only hire petite, thin girls) then maybe we can do something about that, too. In our reviews and comments to each other about a sexvid, we can say we think a girl looks too thin.

Think about it: how many of today's female porn performers could be described as "waif" vs. those who we might call "full-bodied". I don't want to put "blame" on fans or any segment of the porn biz, but I do believe discussing issues like super-thin girls in porn may bring back some balance in what girls "believe" they have to look like in order to get hired.

Oh...there's one last, "little" reason for discussing issues like this in public: it shows we "care." I for one am tired of the bullshit excuse used for years in porn circles that goes something like "she's an adult and is responsible for her own life. I'm NOT going to tell her that [getting drunk every night or doing drugs every day] is an addiction and is bad for her."

If being a Porn Fan means we have to cash in our ability to care about another person, then I don't want to be a Porn Fan. [Sorry about the Sermon at the end. But it is Sunday.]

I would like to add one thing though. Adella actually asked me for emails that had been sent to me indicating that people were concerned about her health. I have quite a few but my thoughts were to have objective porn fans address instead of people who could be accused of having been influenced by me.

Apparently this didn't work because adella is furious with me and has indicated that not one single person emailed her and said so much as Jesse certainly looked better a couple of years ago. So I guess in her eyes this means that Jesse is fine, Jesse is fabulous or whatever spin she wants to put on it.

No good deed goes unpunished, but like I said I can look at myself in the mirror. If the number I have for Jesse was still good I would have called it weeks ago, as it was I got the one chance to say something to her and I did.

On the negative side, I hope that doesn't mean that Jesse doesn't get any help if she needs any. She's always been a thin girl, but to think of her being any lighter than what she was in the last few movies I watched... YIKES!!!!

God forbid that people will find out about the rampant drug use and the bulimia/anorexia that affects so many girls in the business.

And for those of you who think they can judge someone's possible eating disorder by how much they eat; you're wrong. Just like Mike said, it's what happens after they eat that's important. These girls go straight to the bathroom and vomit. That way they can keep a normal appearance at the dinner table. It's called bulimia. Use some coke or meth on top of that, and you'll feel no hunger and can keep going like the Energizer Bunny for quite some time.

Also, why are people saying that Jesse "was always this skinny"? From what I've heard, she was in fact quite the heavy-set girl (to put it politely) some years ago, after she had her kid.

C'mon, this is not a "bad photo" as far as her weight goes. This is reality. I wish Jesse, who is a wonderful girl, a speedy recovery.

I'm also very aware that Adella is one of the sharpest people I know, and if there's a problem, she's doing what she can to help it get better. It's to Adella's and DP's advantage to have Jesse looking gorgeous and healthy and appealing to fans, and they're very aware of that.

These girls are scrutinized on a level that fans can only begin to imagine. Gain 5 pounds, get a couple pimples on your ass, get a stretch mark on your boobs... people will take about 10 seconds to be talking about it on porn boards...
By the time the girl's over-reaction to it has gotten so bad that people are telling her she went too far, she's convinced herself that she looks better the new way, and it takes a lot more than a few dozen faceless fans to turn something like that around.

There were countless times after I gained a lot of weight that I joked about that 'a little meth' would be a quick fix... Thank goodness I never resorted to that. But I love to eat, especially yummy food... and it was really hard to lose the weight. I had all but stopped letting anyone take my photo, and stopped doing in-person interviews, which is a bad thing for a publicist. And that was pressure I put on myself as a non-active performer. Imagine what it's like for the current performers in a world where Keira Knightly and Kate Bosworth are making millions of dollars per mainstream movie.

Sorry for the change of topic, it just bothers me when i hear fans talking crap and saying that every porn star is a druggie when they dont know them personally and could not prove that comment with allot of people in the industry.
