When you see the lock on a thread, read it first . If it is locked, than they usually write an explanation of why it is locked. However, 9 times out of 10, they have simply moved the posting to another forum. As Chillin said, your post has not been erased. One thread was locked, but the explanation given that it was a duplicate subject, and a link to the other one. As I type this, your active thread is on page 2. You'll get the hang of it soon. Rather than taking the chance of some people replying to one thread and other people replying to the second thread, it made more sense to close the thread that did not include as much information as the other one to ensure that all answers are located in the same place.
