How do you explain your submissive point of veiw to people who may not get it?

When they want to know why you do it and how it makes you feel. When they don't understand that to you it's not degrading. When they see Masters/Mistresses and Dom/Dommes as people who are hurting you by controlling you.

Even though I'm more of a Top/bottom Switch, I'm having some issues with finding the right words to express it.

For me it's about the trust dynamic. That's the turn on! I've heard people say being a sub is giving up control while still having it, because of safe words and such. But even with safe words, one still has to trust that the dominant party is going respond as they should. I trust my Master when I'm with him, I trust he'll listen when I use a safe word. I trust that he will push my limits, that he may even break them. The other part of being a sub, at least for me ...is that I am not required to decide anything! I don't have to worry if I'm doing this right or that right, if he likes what I'm doing or not ...he is the Dom, he will TELL me what he wants, when he wants it and how he wants it, if I stray, he will correct me! Life is full of choices, decisions...it's nice sometimes to simply not have to think, to let the mind be silent, to simply be in the moment.
Dunno if that helps or even makes sense, but those are my thoughts and opinions on that.
