| BigBobxxx Senior Member 2681 Posts 5/04 | Has anyone else encountered being forced to sign-in on Google just to read posts? Sure, you've always had to be registered and signed-in to make posts. But, starting yesterday, 10/2/06, when I would attempt to go to boards I always visit (just to read posts, see what's new), I would be re-directed to the "you must be registered/signed-in to complete the previous action" page. I don't like this at all. FYI, I always clear my web-tracks (history, cookies, etc.) after every session with the Internet. There are very few cookies, such as ADT, that I protect and allow to remain on my computer. So, you can tell I'm a bug about trying to keep some measure of personal privacy... or at least not making it easy for "them" to build large data trails based on cookies remaining in my system over long periods of time. Any thoughts or comments? [Link] |
