...with Firefox. Everything was fine when I left yesterday morning to go camping. Now none of them light up when I run the mouse over them or click on them. The reload icon still works but none of the others in the top left corner do.
Just noticed that I do not have the little bar showing the page loading progress in the lower left hand side anymore either.

It might have just installed the latest update (3.6.6) and some kind of hiccup happened. Have you tried rebooting the machine?

That must be it. I put my computer into hibernation before leaving for work last night and now everything is back to working fine. I believe there was an Firefox update loaded yesterday as well.

Well I don't know if it's the same problem but I've been having all kinds of problems with my internet for the past couple of days. I don't know what the fuck is going on. It works for a while and then I click a link and it just hangs. I thought it might be some problem with ADT because ADT is the main site I visit these days besides Google but Google was hanging too. It seems to be fine for now. I had another phone hooked up in another room. Thought it might have been the filter had gone bad or something so I unplugged it. That seemed to help but it still didn't fix it. I rebooted and rebooted and reset my modem and hit myself with a hammer just in case.
Finally when I ran spybot and chose to "fix the selected problems" it seemed to clear up....for a few hours until I decided to hook my other phone back up. Then it fucking started again so I unplugged it again. Fuck.
