I'd assume this is something to do with frame rates and my eyes being sensitive to this? Some scenes seem really fluid and don't bother me whereas others seem to lag, almost as if they are showing less frames? This really bothers me and I notice it a lot with new HD Elegant Angel scenes as well as a few others (such as Hard X). The quality is great but the movies just don't feel smooth to me, in fact I'd rather have that fluid movement than image quality. Does anyone know what I am talking about, is there a way to make these scenes feel smoother? Appreciate any help. [Link] |

BUT if you are playing files on a new TV, those TVs have motion interpolation options (often called "smooth" something) that will create more frames, practically "guessing" what movement between existing frames would be like. This feels a LOT smoother. Some people like it, some hate it. I like it and I think its a great solution until more video/movies are actually shot in higher frame rates. So you might be experiencing that this feature is turned off or on depending on what you watch and what you watch it on. There is also pc software that allows you to get this feature on your pc (which I use). And complicating things just a bit more, since I want to be accurate and for the record, there is actually a very tiny amount of porn that is shot in 60fps, but its very rare as of now. I'm crossing fingers that we will see much more of it very soon. Edited by - JohnW on 11/3/2014 11:42:30 AM |
